Thank you Don. Another great video. I have a 5 gallon water jug that's almost half filled with coins. Looks like i know where i will be spending time on the next few evenings. Not that i expect to get lucky, but the hunt is the thrill :)
I never had much luck with UK coins, but I have with UK £5 notes. I got 6 £5 notes all with the serial number last digit of 4-5-6-7-8-9 all following each other. I sold them for over £100 when they first came out, as everyone was going crazy when these notes first came out. Thank you, Don. Charles in the UK
Hi, love your videos! And thank you for all the good information. Your last comment about the mint mark, some are intentionally left off, is there any way to know the difference? Intentionally or accidentally? Thanks, Mrs Jo
Good info. I find it odd that mint errors fetch the kind of money they do for what is essentially a screw up. Then the proof coins go begging and are a tribute to the mints craft. This is one time when rarity trumps condition.
I am aware of the difference, and felt it would be far out of most peoples interest to spend several more minutes explaining the exact difference to people who aren't coin people.
actually a double die is already doubled its master die that creates the " stamp " is struck twice so basically it's stamps a double die edit - Doubled Die Coins Are Not Double Struck The major difference is that double struck coins are struck twice by the same coin die during the striking process. A doubled die coin is produced when the coin die is not properly manufactured. This leads to the appearance of two images on a single coin die.Sep 24, 2020 jus saying is all

Actually Don, your not correct about tha doubled die definition. So lemme fill u in; when tha hubbing process is done, that's tha process where tha image is hubbed into tha anvil and hammer die. When 2 impressions are hubbed, that's what a doubled die is. Your welcome Sir.
