When I watched the Lost Pilot, I was like 10 years old and had no idea what a TV Pilot was. I thought episode 1 was called Pilot because it was about a plane.
@@risn5478 It's like the first episode filmed of a show that gets played for a TV network in order for them to decide if they wanna pick it up for more episodes and put it on tv.
Surprised Daredevil isn’t on this list. That first episode alone had me go from not caring about the character due to the Ben Affleck movie to him being my favorite MCU hero.
I gonna say the Day Gone bye is the terrifying and horrifying pilot episode of The Walking Dead when we can see Rick Crimes checking an accident in the road and we can see a creepy zombie girl with a teddy bear
I see that you edited your comment... but you still got Rick's name wrong lol I'm not trolling, I just thought it was funny that you have his name as Rick CRIMES when he was a SHERRIFF 🤣🤣🤣 his name is Rick Grimes, but I like yours better!
It truly shows us how the world has become not being scared in showing horrifying things cause that's the world they live in in my opinion the creepiest part of that episode was Morgan's wife looking so human like yet so far from being hunan
24 was maybe my favorite top 3 show's of all time but in fairness the pilot wasn't that great in fact it took around 4 episodes to really get great. But when it did WOW
Wow, it's been over 16 years since 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' came out on Nickelodeon, and then became one of my most favorite animated TV shows of all time.
For me - Breaking bad - future Heisenberg comes in underwear with gun and fire alarm ringing on dead desert GOT - door of wall open and 3 night watcher came and killed by white walker & Ned stark
@@JudgeHolden2003 Why? Guy learns he is dying and goes intro drugs? WHY? To get killed faster by cops/rivals or to make sure he gets into hell? His wife is not gonna want his drug money in any case. 😝
The top 4 are absolutely perfect. Couldn’t have chosen better. I would’ve put them in a different order (either TWD or Lost at number 1), but the four shows are easily the four best. Nicely done, WM.
Personally I disagree, as I only became more and more invested into the show as the show progressed, with exception to season 6, but that's my opinion.
It's such a shame that Heroes didn't keep up the excellent quality of the first season. It could have gone down in history as one of the greats. Then again... my Dad still maintains that it was the best show ever until the end. Bless him.
best pilot i have seen in a very long time was The Boys. it was a masterpiece in introducing the characters and really shows you what to expect from the rest of the show. very surprised it was not on your list. The Walking Dead was one of my favorite pilots as well so glad to see that made it high up on your list.
Fargo should of been on the list the pilot episode was amazing and no one knew if the TV show version of a movie will be good all. Plus pilot prooved the show will be amazing
My favorite pilots that I think should have been on this list are as follows: "Pilot", Gotham "Pilot", Arrow "Rising parts 1 and 2", Stargate Atlantis "Spark of Rebellion", SW: Rebels "Rose", Doctor Who revival "Chapter 1", The Mandalorian and "Pilot", Supernatural.
"Rose", Doctor Who revival - was awful & was the reason I didn't watch Doctor Who for 3 more years after that (I've since binged it start to (current) finish 4 times over; but struggle through that first episode each time). Your other answers I totally agree with you on. They were all excellent.
Ok I knew Breaking Bad would be number 1, but out of all that I've seen, the first season of Fargo definitely had the best pilot. But... it's nowhere to be seen ?
Is very funny and cool the pilot episode of The Office and when we can see all the employees characters in a building and they introduce themselves as a documentary series
21:15 "One of"? Breaking Bad is the most a claimed show of all Time, that got itself into Guinness World records for the highest rated show of all Time with 99/100 on Metacritic.
Arrow should be on the list in my opinion. From the opening of Oliver escaping the island to returning to Starling City, him playing the duel role. Showing us the raw and brutal Hood of the first season. “Nobody can know my secret” *snap*. And finishing off with a great twist at the end.
I'm surprised Supernatural didn't make the list. The show did go downhill in the final years, but that first episode was amazing. I still watch it for a good scare.
"A Study In Pink" (Sherlock) One of the best debut episodes in recent memory, this episode introduces us to a modernized take on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's legendary Sherlock Holmes. Between the beautiful cinematography, the sharp writing and a star making performance by Benedict Cumberbatch as the title character, A Study In Pink is an introduction done right.
The pilot episode of Breaking Bad is the best and one of the coolest and awesome pilot episodes ever when we can see meeting Walter White and his friend Jesse Pinkman
I disagree with breaking bad on 1st place, BrBa is my favorite series of all time, but the pilot was great... not enough to get hooked on the pilot, unlike other series or sitcoms. I got completely hooked when Tuco appeared What do you think?
No. 1: TWD You can dive into the world through the eyes of Rick Grimes. His longing to find his family is totally understandable and you wish that he finds them.
