My absolute favorite nose! His hands are on so many of my holy grails - the Delinas and Valaya, Ex Nihilo Fleur Narcotic and French Affair, YSL Grain de Poudre, Angel EDP and Muse, Chloe Nomade and Vanilla Planifolia, and Guidance. I bought Tilleul from a niche fragrance shop here in Atlanta called Indie House. They have an online shop too if anyone wants to order it in the US! It's a very realistic honeysuckle but sweetened a bit - not cloying at all though.
For me hibiscus mahajad is a must have. I have a back up bottle in the event they change formulation or discontinue it. I can’t wear delina original due to the tart rhubarb note but I do enjoy delina exclusif. HM is similar but the leather and hibiscus notes gives it a punch of uniqueness on my skin. I have to spray lightly or it can be suffocating. I think the magic in HM is the trail it leaves and doesn’t disappoint in projection/longevity. I have been stopped at the grocery store asking what it is I’m wearing and they hand me their phone to type it so they can buy it there and then. I had compliments when enter or exiting places….so I do think it’s the beautiful trail of HM that makes it bottle worthy for me. However due to the strength, I only wear it during the colder season or else it can become sickly very quick.
He has created some of my favorite fragrances, in particular the ones for Marc Antoine Barrois, I like Ganymede Extrait more than the OG, to me it smells like an old studio with a leather chair, amazing fragrance. I will put the OG in number two, followed by B683 and the extrait at last, just cause the Extrait gets a little funky on my skin. Need to try that ELDO. Great video, thank you Sebastian!!!
Quentin Bisch, the King of Akigalawood. lol. I know some have grown tired of his dna but I enjoy several of his creations. I really want to try L'artisan Iris de Gris and Barrois' B683, I think they both sound great. I had no idea he did ELDO Experimentum Crucis but I'm happy to learn that because I have a travel spray of it on the way.
Ganymede is my #1 too, but I wouldn't say it's universally loved. I've heard many people say it gives stand-offish vibes. For me it's like catnip. Very sexy and alluring.
Man so many great ones from Quentin Bisch I didn't realize how many I owned, he is BRILLIANT IMO. Thanks so much for another great list Sebastian. On another note can you do a house review on Fugazzi perfumes .. I received No Cologne and I am impressed, what a great summer scent. Cheers Brutha 😎
I definitely have a few of his fragrances on my wishlist. I’m fascinated by tomato leaf, that sharp peppery note, so I’ll be sampling Vétiver Écarlate. I recently got a sample of Jardin du Poete and to my nose, it had a tomato leaf note, although it’s not listed. Delina La Rosée and Chloe Nomade are on the list, too!
I’m very interested in his work for L’Artisan Perfumeur. Haven’t heard people talking about them much. Iris de Gris seems to be a nice green Iris fragrance I might enjoy 😊

Love love your videos, since acquiring your new camera the focusing issue makes it hard work after 15min watching. Lovingly can I suggest standing back and use the zoom feature. I miss having the very interesting back ground in focus with the shelves loaded and decorated with fragrances. Thanks for your perfumery insights. Please excuse my criticism I'm sure making content is hard work.
I'm really enjoying my Scent Club #6. It has added a nice dose of joy to my summer time. Bombay Bling is my favorite, but I'm working on getting it to last longer on me. Thanks!
I do like many of his works. He gets some hate for making crown pleasers, but hey- they’re popular forma reason. I love Q.B., but that Givaudan Akigala wood, is a bit much in some of them….I’m not a fan of the latest Amouage (Guidance?) though.
I’ll see if I can round up a bunch of fragrances that she created. I have a lot of her stuff but they were all discontinued. She was gone for a while and she’s come back so I like all her stuff from the 90s and 2000s but the new stuff I’ll have to play around with to see if I can round up stuff but I like the idea so stay tuned. 😀
My grandparents used to grow Green peas. As a Boy, I loved the scent when I opened them. I must try this Perfume. Thanks Sebastian. Hope you received my e-Mail 🙂
Quentin Bisch is super talented, but I prefer his men's fragrances over women's. I have yet to find a femine fragrance of his that works for my chemistry. However, his fragrances always smell great on my husband.
Hibiscus mahajad is a beast when it comes to sillage and longevity, I only need a couple of sprays and it can last on my clothes for more than a week 😂
Huge one missing: PdM Carlisle (well at least Parfumo lists him as the perfumer) To my nose the new JPG Le Male Elixir is similar in the drydown, but overall not as great as Le Parfum. Must smell them side by side a few more times maybe. PS. Just as a note: there are some low frequency thumps in the background during the video, maybe some construction in the building, or some audio issue? Pointing it out in case it might help some audio troubleshooting. Example: three consecutive thumps after 19:05. Heard a few others earlier.
I’m really sad that B683 extrait didn’t work on my skin… I get a burnt rubber tires smell when I wear it. B683 EDP was fine, but very unfortunate with the extrait… 😢
It is so brazen of you to leave out Delina! F$&k Delina- all of them. I really detest that fragrance. I detest it out of the bottle and in the air when ladies wear it. I don't get it! So he is NOT my favorite perfume although I love Angel Muse. My favorite perfumer is Chris Maurice. And DR of course.
@@dualityofnature the can choose other sweet/spicy juicy and more interesting ones. Again, he said that it's better than le parfum!! le parfum is a modern classic!!
You forgot Quentin's perhaps most interesting and original one, Angel Muse EDP and Angel Muse EDT. Also, since it is discontinued, if anyone knows anything that can replace it, or close to it, or even cloned, please write.
