The Druun in Raya and the Last Dragon were terrifying since they killed every character in the film (except for Sisu, but her death was another story). It was scary to see everyone dead with no one alive to save anyone. The characters only hope was a glowing ball of dying dragon magic. I would also say Ratigan ordering his cat to eat the drunken mouse scene from the Great Mouse Detective was very disturbing. The drunk mouse’s poor friends pled for Ratigan to spare their friends life, only to watch in horror as he was eaten and then shed tears of sorrow at their friend’s horrible demise.

Some of them did like Ursula's demise, the Evil Queen's transformation, Lampwick and the boys turning into donkeys, and Olivia's kidnapping. One scene that I'm surprised is not on here is the scene of Cinderella leaving the ball at midnight and being chased by palace guards. The visuals and music gave me nightmares for years.

Frollo is the best villain of Disney with Scar and you know why ? Because people like Frollo exist in real life
@AndersonTenecela

@@AndersonTenecela According to history.. well.. it’s definitely done a lot more bad.. I honestly see a lot more people like frollo in real life using religion for their own selfish ways and to spread hatred than be good people…
@lucacerasuolo6606
@lucacerasuolo6606 Год назад
The religious connection with Frollo is very superficial. The whole point is that he DOESN'T act like a good Catholic, in contrast to the Archdeacon at the beginning of the movie. Frollo is scary because he's a power-hungry politician and an ideologue who views himself as the arbiter of right and wrong for the society he's supposed to serve. We have several politicians like this today. They aren't cartoonishly evil, but they're dangerous all the same.
@knightofarkronia8652
@knightofarkronia8652 Год назад
Not to mention the fact that he’s a pervert and a bigot. While the movie had him focusing primarily on the Romani, considering how the middle ages were in real life, he’d probably be trying to have Jews and homosexuals slaughtered for ‘heresy’ as well.

The "No Capes" flashbacks (2004) - Edna’s rule was created for a reason and seeing each of them being helpless isn’t that great. The family controlled by Doris (2007) - They all try to prevent Lewis from escaping and it also seems to be dystopian rather the normal utopia setting with the colors being removed. Kenai's flashback (2003) - mainly because of the panic and realization of what he’s done throughout it, and also the fact it was created in grayscale. Something I never understood about the Evil Queen's transformation was... did she check if the spell was reversible before casting it?

Mufasa's death was very sad, but not scary. I would have put the donkey transformation scene at number 1. The fact that those boys were being kidnapped, stripped of their humanity and sold into slavery is horrifying. And the donkey boy desperately crying to go home to his momma, and knowing there isn't a glimmer of hope for them because they can't talk anymore and call for help. That to me is horrifying even as an adult. .

When I was a kid, it was forbidden for me to watch "Anastasia" because of Rasputin, my mom knew he would definitely give me nightmares (as did the two first films in a Harry Potter series). I grew up, I like horrors, but yeah, Rasputin is definitely very creepy. He is literally a living dead! But I can't help but inform you that "Anastasia" isn't a Disney media, it was made by Don Bluth and Gary Goldman, who once were in Disney company but left it and founded their own studio in Ireland.

I absolutly agaree, especially with Tarzan, Dumbo, Bambi, lion king. For me it was also (Spoilers) Mr Arrow getting sucked into the black hole, after the one spider guy cuts his life line from Treasure Planet. Black holes in general are terrifying Then that part in Atlantas where Milo stabs the General guy with a crystal and he changes into a crystal demon of himself. Really creeped me out as a kid. Hercules always misses these lists, and in my opinion its got some freaky ones: Hades, for one runs the litteral river of the dead, and its so well animated it looks like water from afar.but are actually corpses. Hercules diving to save Meg, and he slowly starts to get old. The fates, past present and future were creepy when they cut the string of life. The titans were amazing, but how they are introduced one by one freezing, melting, crushing, blowing away everything in their path (Also possibly one of the best scenes) But yeah, its got a creep factor to it

Definitely Claude Frollo in the entire Hunchback climax after Quasi thinks Esmerelda is dead, the Horned King stewing up his soldier souls, and/or the Chernabog scene over Bald Mtn in Fantasia. Honorable Mention to Ursula growing into a giant beast out of the ocean and laughing maniacally. Clayton hanging himself was disturbing as well (Tarzan). Queen Grimhilde is terrifying from Snow White There's a ton honestly, but those are some of my favorites as a Disney AND horror fanatic Edit: The Coachman in Pinocchio too! Might me the most disturbing scene in Disney history when he grooms the kids and takes them to the island! He's basically a you know what 🤢🤢🤮
@michaelpalmieri7335
@michaelpalmieri7335 Год назад
You mean you think the coachman character is a pedophile? I don't think so, because his plan is not to molest the boys, but simply to take them to Pleasure Island, where they can run wild and do whatever they want, no matter how immoral or evil. They eventually get their comeuppance when they succumb to the island's curse and are turned into donkeys, literally making jackasses out of themselves. The coachman and his black-hooded hoodlums then round up the boys/donkeys so they can sell them to the "salt mines." (Was this a subtle attack on Communism, especially since "Pinocchio" was made in 1940, when Josef Stalin, the then Premier of the Soviet Union, was ordering his notorious "purges" of his perceived "enemies," plus the fact that he temporarily had a "Pact Of Non-aggression" with Adolf Hitler?) Anyway, the coachman seems to think that his actions are justified because the boys are rather mischievous lads who play hooky, that is to say, they tell their parents that they're going to school, but instead, they ditch school and run around the town, getting themselves in trouble. Pinocchio, who also plays hooky (despite his promises to his friends Jimminy Cricket and the Blue Fairy), is among those who are tricked into visiting Pleasure Island.

Two truly scary moments from Disney movies for me at least come from Peter and the Wolf AND The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (1949). Whenever the Wolf is on-screen or present in Peter and the Wolf, the choice of instruments that plays makes the Wolf's scenes incredibly creepy to watch, especially whenever the Wolf faces the camera as the creepy music builds. And you can't talk about scary Disney moments and not talk about THAT scene from The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (1949). I'm of course referring to the 5-minute long scene of Ichabod Crane making his way home through the forest, the atmosphere getting creepier and creepier with every step, the haunting hoot from the owl, the frog croaking Ichabod's name, the crickets also chirping Ichabod's name as well, the freaky humming from the grass, the occasional ghostly wailing, the Crows screeching "Here he comes!" and "Beware!", every moment up to the Headless Horseman's reveal is expertly crafted and truly a masterclass of suspenseful horror, it's honestly scarier than most horror movies these days, at least for what I've seen.

The scene in the hunchback of notre dame when Quasimodo is at the festival of fools and the people start throwing food at him and tie him down and spin him around is definitely the most terrifying. That scene was always made me cringe and was so shocking and sad and creepy. To see that all the people were so horrible. Then it freaked me out when they tied him up, then when he breaks free of the ropes and rips his shirt was so terrifying. And the intense background music, and the background is all red and then Quasimodo crying and pleading with frollo to help him as he’s tied up and spinning around. And the feels I get when frollo just looks away and does nothing. It’s all so emotional and depressing and scary and intense.
