Correction: This video went out with the wrong title (Worst Decisions). Thanks to everyone who let us know so we could correct as soon as possible! Much appreciated! You would definitely last a bit longer if Jigsaw captured you than others!
@@enriquelesende537that's precisely why Hoffman couldn't let him live. Strahm was smart but he was also too curious and too confident and it eventually got him killed. He already knew Hoffman put him in one rigged trap but he kept pursuing him anyway because he wanted proof.

@@chronosaurus_skz, because she was already an addict and likely had any of the transmissible diseases (and is more likely to be less affected by multiple needle jabs). Is it shitty and cowardly? Definitely...but it's also a smart move.
Yes. The man was insane and used his own attempted suicide as a reason to test other people. When the reality is he had an axe to grind against everyone who wronged him. Watch the movies enough times and you realize a lot of his victims were people he had met at one point in his life. A big portion of them being those who were involved in his cancer diagnosis and his denial of coverage for treatment. In other words he had an axe to grind and decided to take out a whole lot of people along the way.
The needles were fake, the crew change all the original needles with a fake one (smooth needle) they also reveal that they're very careful of removing it because they didn't want the artist to be hurt.
Strahm's makeshift tracheotomy was absolute genius, and provided you don't hit the major veins or arteries in the neck, it's absolutely doable in real life, hella risky but possible!
The issue is, afterwards he behaved so dumb making it so Hoffman had no choice but get him out of the 'game'... guy should have left the state and chilled lol
@@markriedel1977 nah he definitely still smart, considering he still figured out Hoffman was Jigsaw without the help of his peers. His dumbest move was just not listening to the entirety of the tape on the closing walls trap, and also not staying put in the meatpacking plant, which was why he was in the water trap in the first place
The smartest decision in the Saw universe would've been the local cassette store owner going to the police and saying the shady old guy is buying hundreds of cassette players and tapes at once and not saying why he did so
Buying lots of cassettes is fairly normal, a bit outdated by the time but he was an old guy so nobody would really blink an eye. However, I'm sure the local hardware stores and medical suppliers saw some suspicious stuff.
@@resonatingwindsTrue, but once Jigsaw became so infamous wouldn’t they look into the casette tapes since they’re pretty much his main staple in his traps??
I mean you don’t even need a shady past. You could be depressed, smoke cigarettes, unknowingly be married to a fraud, be married to or be the daughter of a man having an affair, be a janitor at a hospital who was very nice to John, be an innocent old secretary, accidentally kill someone but face the music and fulfill your sentence, be abused by your husband, take photos of people for a living much like John stalks and kills his own victims, have an obsession with justice much like John’s, etc. After watching all the films all you can really conclude is the guy is a delusional serial killer that contradicts his own philosophy so much that he must simply enjoy inflicting suffering on others, especially those who have wronged him.
@mike48931 ~ you absolutely nailed it with your comment! I wonder.... how many Saw fans have evaluated ourselves as potential targets for Jigsaw, if God forbid someone did something like that? I know I have, and I'd be a target probably because I have a history of depression and substance abuse... though I'm better now.
@@Irish_Georgia_Girlplus I think he was already suspicious of her when she said she was in a game before. He probably thought that if she can beat it once, she could do it again
Zeke from Spiral deserves a shout-out as when he was captured and put in a variation of the iconic Bathroom trap albeit chained by one of his wrists instead of one his ankles, and instead of jumping the gun and either cutting off his chained hand, or breaking his wrist to get out, he actually takes the time to listen to the instructions given to him and actually using the instructions given to him looks around the bathroom for anything he can pick the lock with, and it works out for him as he finds a pin and uses it to pick the lock and manages to escape unharmed aka with both of his hands, and both of his hands intact.
Zeke had no tape or cassette. He was also in a warehouse where a trap was based right next to him. He just looked around and saw a pin nearby. Being a cop he knew that a pin was all he needed to break free from his handcuff.
Hoffman outplaying the reverse bear trap should be at least number 2…. Escaping “unwinnable” traps is always the most impressive and clever thing someone can do in the series, which should put the performances in Hoffman’s Bear Trap and Strahm’s Water Box in a league of their own
I'm currently rewatching all of the Saw films and I must admit, I love them all! Excited for X. The character of Hoffman has always been one of my favorites because he was pretty much a sadistic genius lol but the way he broke out of the Reverse Bear Trap was simply put: BADASS.
It is a shame they killed off John Kramer so early in the franchise. Most (if not all) of his Apprentices lack his sense of "fair play", resulting in 'smart decisions' not being enough to beat the rigged Traps.
Amanda was a messed up woman who needed therapy, Hoffman was and always will be a crooked cop, Gordon was the silver built to deal with Hoffman, and Logan from Jigsaw, its been awhile so I can't really think about any impression, but Hoffman gets the most screen time and generally was overtly villainous, so he ends up sucking the air out of the room, wish there'd be another female apprentice.
They had planned for the Saw movies to be a trilogy that ended with the death of Kramer...but the box office draw made them try to shoehorn in a "back door" hook to keep the franchise going. That's why parts of 3 are so weird (in the established canon) and why the subsequent movies haven't lived up to the heights set by those first three.
OMG me too! I love Mr. Bean! With his propensity to muck up situations for others, he'd end up saving himself and in the process do something to inadvertently actually harm or kill John Kramer without even realizing 🤣
what about amanda telling the girl not to trust the one who saves him. then the girl probably told the police what she said causing suspicion on hoffman
Tossing in Amanda was more sleazy than smart. Granted some would argue she deserved the torture after seeing the ending and what she does in the next film but it was Xavier's test and she did save the kid while risking her own life so...
As an addict, though, she's less likely to be affected by the jabs...and she likely has some sort of transmissible disease from her past usage. Sleazy and cowardly? Definitely...but it also was quick thinking.
Dan reveals Agent Perez's status is the worst decision ever if she still clues Hoffman is Jigsaw. But I understand he also still think Strahm is Jigsaw. Another one, Jill left before making sure that Hoffman was died it definitely bad decision, She is too careless. And, How John recruited Gordon was the worst decision? Why?
I will admit. Schenk's idea was smart, but only to an extent and only for the reasons that were discussed. Faking Schenk's death was a double edged sword. Sure, he could continue to do the killings while not being seen, but Angie tells Zeke that they should call William's family. On the way to investigating Bozwick's trap, Schenk tells Zeke he has a family. His wife's name is Emma and his son's name is Charlie (this is a nice unforeseen foreshadow which refers to his father that Zeke's Partner killed, Charlie Emmerson (Charlie, Emma's son)). The only thing distracting both Angie and Zeke from doing exactly that was the Cop getting stabbed and the Wax Trap. Had neither of those things happened, they would have realized that William's previous statements were lies and they might have been on the hunt for him.
I’ve only seen the third one out of the franchise. The only thing is I can barely remember the movie cause it was a long time ago (I watched it on Netflix years ago)
The worst decisions are Saw 3D, jigsaw & The book of SawBook of Saw movies. In another bad decision is decided after all these years to make another Saw movie.
Sorry to be that person, but there seems to be another error. In the Love Triangle Trap, when Ryan said that the three were placed in the trap, it said it was Hoffman that put them there. However, that seems to be a mistake there as well. While I do admit that Hoffman was taking the mantle for the time being, he was not the supposed killer in this one, and was in fact, another of Jigsaw's victims at the grand reveal for the finale, as it has been reported on other sources that the Pig Masks that kidnapped Hoffman, was Brad and Ryan. Therefore, it could not have been Hoffman.
12:50 Out of all the terrible people that get caught in traps (skinheads, abusers, rapists, shady insurance companies) Dina gets absolutely no say in her own survival-reminder that Ivan did and he raped multiple women- because she (checks notes) cheated with 2 separate men, this women probably isn’t even the worst person in that town like WTF Jigsaw just choosing anyone mildly immoral, that trap never felt right to me like she didn’t deserve to be in that situation. Simone got to live after she crippled people with loans. That guy that faked an entire fake saw survival story got to live. The only trap that is even comparable to this is the health insurance guy who DENIED HIS CANCER TREATMENT. Are these on the same level in ANY capacity, cause Kramer seems to think so.
The worst decision that was made in my opinion, was allowing the franchise to go on after jigsaw was killed after the third movie. After that, the cast got weaker and weaker as it went on.
I-III just showed how great John was to design his traps, but everything afterward proved how much of a mastermind he truly was to always be one step ahead!!
SPOILERS for Saw X. It's almost impossible to turn the tides on John Kramer, as even in his moment of death, he shows his undying drive to teach you a lesson. In the recently released new entry in the Saw canon, Cecilia tried to do that. A character so cruel that she sort of turned John Kramer into the protagonist instead of the villain, in a sense. At least John was willing to let a victim of his live after completing the test; Cecilia killed said victim. So when he's put into a trap of his own, it's pretty satisfying to see that even then he regained control of the situation by taking advantage of her greed. He even planned around being trapped. He may be wrong about his philosophy most of the time, but he is nothing if not really smart.
I would be hesitant. The Ventriloquist is a surprisingly deep and thought provoking character; I would be concerned that the interruption would be just a shallow Villain
Considering most Traps relie on desperation of the victim, the hope that a bystander will save them would result in a decrease in the survivability of the trap
Amazing video watch mojo of the smartest decisions in the saw franchise by survivors/ smart people in the movies, fantastic job. There on dumbest decision in the saw franchise is that jigsaw recruit detective Hoffman in the first place.
For sure Schenk was smart in faking his death, but the writers/directors mistake by not including it on screen was a total giveaway as to who the killer was. Plus Carly in Jigsaw’s death was pathetic, she knew it was $3.53 but chose not to use it. Terrible writing once again by so called “Saw fans” in Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger with Jigsaw and Spiral.
She even flat out says that amount only for everyone to pretend they didn't hear her. Then she acts like she doesn't know which one it is and refuses to choose one. Nearly all the deaths in Jigsaw were avoidable if they didn't make the characters idiots. Even Mitch would've lived if he actually completed his game and pulled the brake after Anna temporarily stopped the blades around him.
