The joker deserves the title of best super-villain. He has no powers, but he’s very manipulative and has great charisma. He has a perfect balance of threatening and funny. Plus, the actors who portray him not only nailed it with their own ways, but they are also very memorable, such as mark hamill, Heath ledger, and jack nickelson.

Josh Denman Jared Leto's Joker was absolutely fine. It was just a very different take on the character. Instead of going the psychotic nihilist route of Ledger or murderous politician way of Nicholson, Leto went with a gangster mob boss, which we'd yet to see on a big screen. After all, there are 3 different Jokers in the DC Universe, if I'm not mistaken.

Only recently Ironman got popular after RBJ took the role. If i get asked about superheroes iconic the first answer would be batman but if i get asked about the most powerful superheroes i would answer dr. Manhattan. It's important to give opinion based on the theme after all

Thanos was created after darkside, and is not nearly as powerful, or compelling and I love DC and marvel, but thanos in the comics is trying to impress a girl, not nearly as interesting as his mcu counter part, where as darkside is a fallen God, his purpose to find the anti life equation in order to bend the universe to his will

I Am The Master Baiter The typically world/universe domination story is just so bland and uninspiring. To be fair though Thanos’s comic story of destruction isn’t much better. However what the MCU did with Thanos puts him above both others.

Basically he's responsible for some if the worst writing ever, just so he stands a chance they had to make this special rock that takes away the superheros powers cause if they actually fought at full stealth it would be over in half a second...

Magma92 everything you said is so wrong lmao. Everyone knows who darth vader is, no matter what age you are. Not to mention he was extremely popular 30 years before joker became mainstream. And do you know anything about Star Wars? Darth vader is the perfect exemplification of the “dark side” in a human. There’s literally an entire movie trilogy, clone wars tv shows, and plenty of comics showing how he went from a loving and caring boy to one of the most feared people in the galaxy. Joker is just a psychotic guy with like 20 different versions and characters.

He literally has the most memorable/iconic/popular theme song of all time. And relevance doesn’t matter towards how iconic someone is. One google search saying “most iconic villain of all time” and the first thing you’ll see is Darth vader as no.1

Unless you are judging them by popularity then there is no reason Spiderman should be number 1. Not gonna name a bunch of heroes to to contradict you but for a small example any archer in marvel or DC are automatically more realistic than spiderman.

OK between 10 to 7 are my Top favorite Villains for sure. Thanos is the newest bad ass villain in the MCU and only one who could rivalry The Mad Titan is Adam Warlock. Venom - He did started off as a villain over spider-man but letter got stand alone story and the introduction of his son Carnage, The Anti-Hero we know and love was born. Bane - Unlike Joker or the rest of Batman's gallery...Bane was able to beat the hell out of The Dark Knight, Giving him the "Knightfall" (That should have killed him!). Dr.Octopus - Doctor Octopus may not be the most physical fighter to! But he is the most physical leader to create the greatest villain team ever known. The Sinister Six.
