The 1998 Godzilla movie should have been called The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms, especially since it looks more like a giant dinosaur than actual Godzilla, it would of made a better remake of that film than the trashy Godzilla film we watched

Thanks for including the Fouke Monster in this list. The Legend of Boggy Creek was partially filmed in my hometown of Shreveport, La. ( despite taking place in Ark. ) because it was directed by a man who worked at one of our local news stations who made it big with that movie and another cult classic, The Town that Dreaded Sundown which was also about a real serial killer case not far from where the Boggy Creek story took place. We eventually had a lot of big budget movies filmed here when Katrina forced them up this way, but we're pretty proud of our early association with that one since it was very homegrown.

I dont know why, but I was always a huge fan of the Leprechaun series... (And we get to see an 18 year old Jennifer Aniston's movie debut in the first movie) I know they were cheesy as hell, but thats what made them great and Warwick Davis as a crazy killer leprechaun just absolutely nailed that part... And oh my God, the Leprechaun in the Hood movies were so freaking hilarious. I mean you cant beat a killer Leprechaun smoking a bong and then stabbing someone in the face with it. Not to mention the Ice T cameos were perfect.

The City of San Francisco refused to let the filmmakers of 'It Came From Beneath The Sea' film any scenes on the actual Golden Gate Bridge. They weren't going to assist the making of a movie that even suggested that the bridge could fall. I'm so disappointed you left out Katadin (AKA 'Inside-Out Bear') from 'The Prophecy' (1979). Gruesome design and conception, but it comes off disjointed in some parts because the monster suit for the full-action view doesn't look nearly as good as the partial-view model. Say 'sleeping bag scene' to any fan of this film and you'll see.

I remember being haunted by the Ralph McQuarrie movie poster art for THE LEGEND OF BOGGY CREEK when I was a kid. It was nothing that interested my parents enough to take me to see (they probably wouldn't have taken me even if they wanted to see it), so I had to wait until it hit TV a few years later. It's hokey by today's standards but it's still a guilty pleasure to watch every now and then. Also, THE DESCENT, written by Justin Long, is a novel that is unrelated to the movie but creatively expands on the subterranean world of the "Homo Hadalis" creatures that evolved an ancient civilization under our feet. Ikr? Watchmojo does this “please dont cancel me” self-flagellation all.the.time. Calling out torture porn is valid. Scolding movies for portraying men being attracted to women is just silly.

My favourite Kaiju is Mothra, because it is such a goofy concept, i.e.: Radar Man: General ! NORAD has detected a gigantic creature approaching Oregon from the Pacific at 600 miles an hour ! General: Sergeant , what is this gigantic threat ? Should we alert sll our first line fighter defences ? What are we facing? Radar Man: Looks like a moth, sir. General: Alert the President ! He may want to issue a warning to the American Sheep Industry lobbyists and release the national mothball reserve from the Mothball Manufacturers of America.

Half this stuff is underrated for a good reason, the other half are classic, cult and otherwise loved, known and respected IPs.

JJ Abrams in Super 8, you tell me. The weird ending was just dumb. Kids witness the creature literally eat people alive, is about to eat the girl that is unconscious until they distract it. Watch as it kills that screaming woman brutally. Then just "yeah, we feel you, we are sorry :(( " Then it just creates its spaceship without them even thinking once about getting the other unconscious people that was hanging from the ceiling out of there and it flies off with a few living human lunchables back to its planet while the crowd goes "oooooh, aaaaaah! so amaaaaazing! woweee we sure learned our lesson about being mean to aliens :DD" ignoring the fact that "Cooper" most likely just flew home to inform its species that there is a planet that is practically an all you can eat buffet..

While I have heard The Relic is actually a pretty good movie, having read the novel it's based on, I don't know that the considerable changes made wouldn't ruin the experience for me.
