Dev himself is almost the sole reason I watch these videos. There’s so many other channels I could go to if I wanted someone to just layout their opinion about a set, but not a single one of them gives me the feeling of having a conversation and nerding out about magic with a buddy like dev’s channel does.

Great video! Eater of Virtue is definitely a powerful card, but note that in your example, the Eyetwitch will be exiled so won’t get its own Learn trigger. EDIT: Oops, you DO get the Eyetwitch trigger, see comment replies below. Thanks for clarifying, Luca.

100% with you on Wandering Emperor. I think it, along with the red Invoke card, are the two Neon Dynasty cards most likely to get banned at some point. It may end up not being great, but if it finds the right deck, it could be format-warping.

I can't say I agree with most of this list but I can tell you had fun making the vid so I'm happy for ya. There are some exceptionally powerful cards getting ignored by many players/creators; several of the march cycle are powerful especially red, Generous Visitor is nuts, The Modern Age is a ludicrous card potentially for multiple formats, The Kami War is exceptional to cast multiple times in standard and is going to be pretty easy to cast with cards like the innistrad lands and The World Tree. Farewell is going to be a standard staple until it rotates. Some other standouts not getting enough attention, in no particular order: Thundering Raiju, Fable of the Mirror-Breaker (just the first chapter is great), Tatsunari, Mirrorshell Crab, and Circuit Mender. I am personally pretty high on Mukotai Soulripper and Mindlink Mech as well but those could go either way, I just like very aggressively statted vehicles.

Best performance since the shadows/vampire intro!! Great picks, looking forward to the brews

Neon moon took me back to my childhood living with my aunt. She would have parties every weekend, and they would blast all of that genre of music in the mid 2000’s era. So my Alabama self got that reference all day long

Dev, I am A) Old and B) spent a lot of my life in a hick town(in Georgia). So i do get when you reference both Vanilla Ice and Brooks n Dunn in the same sentence. I also love you for it.

I can see Eater of Virtue in Rakdos Treason decks. Take their largest creature, equip, swing, sacrifice it and get it's abilities

For decks, I'm starting with selesnya enchantments. Then Dimir ninja and possibly a izet artifacts.

I like your stance on "it's there, I can't not make it" regarding puns and jokes - I have the same quirk, sometimes when I don't feel like saying whole bunch of words I just go "the obvious joke here" in a middle of conversation😅 and move on. Also, you seem to have a lot more of small things like forgetting numbers or tiny detours into different topics recently and I like that, it makes your videos have even more of "like talking to a bud about mutual activity" vibe
