Man, I just used my M12 installation driver and random orbit sander again. I needed holes drilled but didn't have enough room for a chuck, so the offset was exactly what I needed. Then I sanded the entire project with that small homeplate sanding head, got into all the corners I needed and I could use it for the rest of the project. Picked up two sets of the Bora lumber racks for the new workshop I'm going to get. One of those crazy deals where they were like $40/set. The Bow bandsaw fence was a night & day difference for resawing some real nice pieces. Resawing without it is stupid hard. I have two Bosch 1617's. Once I got the first one installed in the router table, I never wanted to remove it. So I bough another. Cause it wasn't easy to get in. The Grr-Ripper 3D - I've also got two of those, cause they're awesome. And two of the regular pushblocks they've got too.

The thing I like about the pipe clamps is for really long clamping needs. I have different size pipes and it only takes a minute to move the clamps to a different length pipe. And for a couple bucks, you can take your shorter pipes and make them into a long clamp by using a coupler. I am adding to my parallel clamp collection, but being a beginner, the pipe clamps saved the budget. 🙂

6:16 I've had that Bosch router for 20+ years. It got great reviews in the woodworking magazines back then (and still does), but after one use I hated those round handles because they are awkward to grip. I put it on the shelf and it sat there for years until I built a router table. If you buy this router get the plunge base for it. It has vertical handles that are much easier to grip.

I caught a deal on the Milwaukee 5-in-1 kit with a free 3/8" ratchet for $180 earlier this year after seeing your glowing review of it. It absolutely has become my daily use drill/driver. Its quieter, lighter, and powerful enough for my needs. Thanks for the recommendation and review :)

Great video. Like you, I have been using the zero clearance strips for a long time. Among other uses, I also use them on my miter sled to maintain tight tolerances instead of replacing the entire base or making replacement inserts. And, I have the Milwaukee multi-head drill/driver, also. I thought it was kind of "gimmicky" at first. But, it has gotten me out of a jam (literally) many times. It's now been moved from the tool cabinet to the main assembly bench. Thanks. God bless.

I remember you reviewing the milwaukee 5 in 1 drill and tbh it was a bit pricey for me, but I did find a similar Bosch 12v product at a cheaper price and I love it. I wanted a lightweight drill/ Driver for my bench and was amazed by the power for 12v, I have since picked up the 12v jigsaw and I'm impressed. Great video Matt. God Bless and Merry Christmas to You and the 731 family.

The Bosch is the original. I have the Dewalt and Bosch version and I think I prefer the Bosch. I think the Dewalt was rated as more powerful. I wish the Dewalt version was 20V and had an impact driver mode, then I could carry that one tool and be set for many different drill/driving challenges.

can confirm on the Dewalt jobsite saw. Have had one for about a year now and you can't beat it for the dollars. obviously there are some limitations with an 8 1/4" blade but it's still an incredibly good saw, and anything notably better costs twice as much. you could do small to medium sized projects for many years and never need to upgrade.

Just got the Suizan Flush Cut Saw on your rec. Need one badly. One small disagreement: you can do just as well with the Harbor Freight pipe clamp brands and can save money that Bessey would otherwise demand. Might need to be a little more patient to get the clamps to grab, but still worth it.

The Bremen parallel clamps price went down 5$ so now they are only 30$ 24” and 40$ for 48” with a life warranty that I’ve test and really simple to return seems cheap or or barley more expensive then pipe clamps and they are nice would recommend over pipe clamp love em

@LYTOMIZE_Woodshop
@LYTOMIZE_Woodshop 5 месяцев назад
I think he's said the Milwaukee one would be the winner if he could only have one. I love my Rikon but I'm hoping to get the Milwaukee one next year too as they do complement the other, or so it appears. That being said, getting the Rikon was one of the best tool acquisitions of the year for me, being someone who also makes many catch-all trays.

Love these videos! As I get more and more into woodworking it is nice to see what is worth the money to buy, even though my wallet suffers everytime. Router bits are a big one, I've had bad luck with cheap router bits and it makes the router pretty scary. Still love my pipe clamps, those bessey ones are great but they cost so much more up here in Canada.

Something you didn't mention about the Dewalt table saw is that it doesn't accept dado stacks. That might be important to someone. I have that saw. If I had done better research before buying it I probably would have made a different choice. Not that there's anything wrong with the saw and I really like it for what it does but it is lacking in that feature.

I kinda disagree on the pipe clamps being a good deal. They are $21 for the clamp, and $36 for a 10 for section of black pipe. If you cut that in half and get two clamps it's $39 a piece. You can get a Bessey heavy duty beam clamp, 48 inches long for $45.
@WalnutAlley

@paulhopkins1905 I agree with you. For the total cost of pipe clamps you can spend just a little more and get some decent parallel clamps.

I think the true charm of pipe clamp is you can get a super long clamp or a custom length clamp for a relatively low price. But the shorter it gets, the less the value since plenty of subtitles exists, like those mention above. Not to say harbor freight has some decent F clamp for an very good price with decent enough quality

I got tired of buying cheap workpants only to be dissapointed. The Truewerk pants are no joke. Quick dry, tough when walking through briars, plenty of pockets. I'm even impressed with the belt loops. Even the heavier duty isn't warm enough for outside work in the winter, but that's what base layers are for.
