Lol the "pronouns" game, also I'm pretty sure people are tired of those type of games, like Jake said "there's enough of them already", everyone is trying to make their own Overwatch or Apex legends.
Listening to all the criticism and now putting the game titles in the chapters has made me actually more excited to watch these videos. Love a business that actually listens to its customers and gets better instead of being stubborn. Great work guys

I am stunned that Dragonball Sparking Zero isnt on the list. Its the Return of the Old Budokai Tenkaichi you can fight your friends with your fav Dragonball Chars. Its on of my Top Games for this year, right between Spare Marine 2 and Star Wars Outlaws.
The character designs look so ugly and unoriginal. It feels like the game is trying so hard to be like Guardians of the Galaxy and Overwatch while trying to appeal to the mythical "modern audience" at the same time. The new Dragon Age suffers from the same thing, big corporations are so out of touch and don't seem to understand what their core audience wants.
@lochlannach7 Based. Sadly, it will be another 2-3 years of layoffs and closures before Western devs are forced to give players what we want. Until then it's Eastern and older games for our family.
@@BlakeCDMedia I think it will take a major change of power and direction in the world for their to be true change. Many of the big corporations and even some smaller companies receive some form of economical incentive for pushing these ideas onto the world, and some of these corporations know that the vast majority of costumers don't enjoy the very blatant agendas and identity politics that they've been pushing for, but they will continue doing so as long as the incentives and the investment money are there. Luckily for us, there are many older games that are still worth playing to this day and some of them are way better than the stuff we get nowadays, so there is really no real loss.
@@user-by3jz8sp1f I agree that the charge for it may make it struggle to be successful, but that does not make it a bad game. And it is different to any other game of its type. In CsGo you don't pick from a range of about 20 characters all with completely different abilities and load outs.
I'm kind of interested in Life Is Strange picking up with Max, but the game I really want DONTNOD to go back to is Remember Me. That game and some of the systems in it had so much potential, but it was only like 75% of what it could have been. I really wanted them to iterate on what they did in that game, but sadly (and ironically, given the name), it seems to have been completely forgotten.
I can't imagine playing a Star Wars game where I can't use the force. Honestly, they should make a Star Wars game where you can create your own character, is a single player rpg, and you rise up the ranks, and fight the dark side in an alternate timeline where Han Solo and Luke failed to do so.
I genuinely don't understand how anyone can be hyped for Star Wars: Outlaws (or anything Ubisoft for that matter). Ubisoft's predatory pricing alone pushed me away.

Black Myth: Wukong has really nice graphics, but gameplay doesn't look that great. Anyway, number 1 for me is dragon age, even though I don't really like how it looks.
Everyone is going to be disappointed when all they do is run down a clearly marked linear path from boss to boss and realize there's not actually anything special about that game
@@maurycybaranowski7175 first of all its a ubisoft game.. the game also looks quite boring gameplay wise.. ofcourse can't judge till i play it or see a before you buy on the channel but so far it just seems like a boring game and they somehow felt the need to uglify the model that they used she looks nothing alike but that is just my opinion from all i seen so far
AC Shadows, SW Outlaws, Avowed and maybe Test Drive are pretty much the only ones on the list that actually appeal to me. The rest are all either remakes, in genres I don’t care for, or I’d just rather play the countless classics already out than look forward to them.
Ok what am I missing? I just watched the trailer and it just looks like another anime inspired arena brawler. This is a legitimate question by the way, no hate. I'm just trying to figure out where all the hype is coming from.
@@devonbewley7753its return to budokai tenkaichi formula for a dragon ball game after a lot of time, and the last budokai tenkaichi was for ps2 i think. That formula od dragon ball games is legendary for everyone who played it, and a lot of people played it
@@devonbewley7753 It was the most complete and had one of the best rosters in the history of most fighting games, literally anyone who threw hands from dragonball all the way to the buu saga and gt was in this game and they had all transformations. Some of the newer games skip these tiny details; like including all of a characters transformation stages, the details about the great apes needing moons to transform unless it was vegeta or king vegeta, cell having to transform through all stages not just straight to perfect, or having a team battle but since you have goku and vegeta you could fuse to vegito or gogeta, etc. It was really a labor of love to the franchise and was truly one of the best I still own my copy today ngl the last one came out on playstation 2 so it's also been a long time waited. All in all just good to see budokai tenkaichi or sparking zero as its called now making a return just we are all hoping the wait was worth it.
For all those commenting, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 was already highlighted in a previous video :) I’m super pumped for that game as are the Gameranx guys!
I feel so sorry for those who never got to experience gaming in the 90s... 25 upcoming games, and almost all of them are either remake/remasters or just reskins of the same type of game.
I'm a 90s kid but I still believe a lot of great games are coming out. Maybe not anything too exciting on this list but overall it's still a good time to be a gamer.
Couldn't agree more I was there in the beginning the game crash of the 80s the 2d beat em up on console to the entry of 3D games platformers like spyro and crash. Every game is just made for money now and not the love/fun

I know DragonBall games have been a little bit of a “dime a dozen” the last few years, but Sparking Zero is a new rendition of the Tenkaichi series which is arguably the best DB game series to exist. We haven’t seen one since the PS2, so it’s a really big deal within the fan base. Don’t sleep on it! It’s going to be huge if it rocks as much as we hope it does 💥
"The Thing" PS2 video game had the horrible luck of being released 2 or 3 weeks before GTA vice city came out! I actually traded in the Thing for Vice city at EB Games 😮😮

A lot of people get annoyed/upset with developers remastering old games instead of "not being lazy" and coming up with something brand new. But theres a lot of games I loved as a child that I would love to play today with better looking graphics and better quality of life improvements to the controls One example (I'm a little older) but I loved Links Awakening when I was a kid and when Nintendo rereleased it with today's graphics, I thought they did a phenomenal job and I was hooked from beginning to end. If theres consistent quality remasters and remakes, there should always be a market for it
Games that don't have release dates yet in the middle of the year, can be easily skipped - they won't release this year anyway, I can bet on it - 80% will be rescheduled for '25 in best case.
so, this list of 25 games includes at least 13 sequels and 3-4 remakes. Watching lists like this really drives home how completely devoid of ideas the video game industry has become, at least among the AAA developers/publishers. In particular, it amazes me that anyone could possibly still be interested in yet another Call of Duty or Assassins Creed game.
This channel doesn't really touch indies. There is so many interesting ideas and cool games coming out on that front. It's just not really this places content. I don't mean they don't play them, Jake talks about a bunch on his own channel. It's just that Gameranx is mostly about AAA games, with a smattering of AA.
Not to be overly critical or anything, but how is it going to be different than any other DB game? I've played a few, and it just feels like you're playing through the main arc over and over again, nothing really changes to feel different, and sparking zero looks exactly the same to me.
@@done807it’s setup to be the best 3D dragon ball game in years. More characters than ever and in most people’s opinion far better gameplay over Xenoverse, Kakarot and even raging blast.
@@antoniousai1989 it's more than that, it's a reboot of a the best anime fighting game of all time. Whether or not you like genre, Budokai Tenkaichi basically created the anime arena fighter and none has lived up to it
I still think it is a total shame that the new Indiana Jones game is first person 😑 Was hoping it would be something to scratch my Uncharted / Tomb Raider itch 🤷♀️ I will still try it though. Wu Kong, Outlaws, The Thing remake and Flintlock look prety cool. I am also really looking forward to Slitterhead and Silent Hill 2 remake ☺️ Lots of interesting things in this second half of 2024.

Bruh, how did not a single JRPG or hardly even any Japanese made game not make this list? DBZ Sparking Zero, Metaphor Re-Fantazio, Trails into Daybreak, Ys X: Nordics, etc ... I understand if you're not gonna cover them individually, small team and all, but to just omit games like this for The Things Remastered, Alters, and Vampire Bloodlines 2 is crazy lmao
@@Slipvayne1if you think some of the most known JRPGs aren't known then idk what rock you're living under. Metaphor is the only new IP and it's coming from a well known dev and publisher. Literally every Persona fan has their eyes on Metaphor to see how it pans out. Those JRPGs have more clout that a lot of the stuff that made this list.
Was literally about to say how is Metaphor not known? It's made by the Persona team and carries that same flash and style. It's probably my most anticipated big budget game in development

I have good expectations about Dragon Age as well -- the game is gonna flop and it's gonna be the final strike for what BioWare has become and they'll get shut down before they also ruin Mass Effect.

I gotta say the Steam next fest demo for Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown really killed my enthusiasm. Maybe they will pull off a miracle by September but it was really rough.
To be clear, Gameranx will point out obviously design flaws in a game. But when trailers for multiple games on this list (Dragon Age & Assassin’s Creed) have been ratio’d into oblivion Gameranx doesn’t touch the reasons why that has happened or even mention that fact. Kinda lame.
No mention of College Football 25 but we got like 5 remakes. There hasn't been a college football game in 11 years so feels weird to not include it in a list like this while including multiple remakes.

Black Myth Wukong has a total of 81 Bosses. It's semi-open like Devil May Cry & God of War. So it's gonna be a nonstop action and combat. Already pre-ordered. 😊
