I just now realized that Alien Stage could also probably be a metaphor for the idol industry in Korea. Of course it's not an elimination death game but it is similar to how K-pop idols sometimes get treated as a commodity rather than an actual human person. If you wanna succeed or win, you have to stand out from the crowd. Build an image for yourself and make a strong fanbase. The industry is tough so if you don't stick out as much then you'll be forgotten. In the case of Alien Stage, the contestants literally get 💥🔫 Overall, I'm sooo excited to see how the story goes from here. VIVINOS putting out quality content as usual💖
I got the cd album that they sold of the alien stage songs, and it came with some concept art and notes, and it did say that the original story was actually about normal modern day, and mizi and sua were both aspiring idols, as in they were high schoolers working to be idols. They were supposed to have drifted apart during the process of both their schooling and idol career path, so i think vivinos and co did want to have some kind of commentsry on the korean idol industry
I really love the detail of Till flipping the audience off with his index finger instead of his middle finger. Seems like our distinct human gestures were passed down, but changed slightly along the way, like a cultural game of Chinese whispers. I wonder if the aliens know what it means?
@@gorggy I did notice that! It's a little hard to tell since the image is so pixelated, maybe we'll see if he does it again in the future? The index finger could be a form of censorship, come to think of it. His way of flipping them off without flipping them off.
An amazing show at the outside perspective of Alien Stage from an advertising and social perspective. How Til's advertising seems to hinge heavily on his rebellious nature (@ 0:29 you can even see him flipping off the crowd lol), Ivan's on his quiet personality and charming face, and Luka's on his incumbency and fan loyalty. The video also seems to really emphasize the fact that Luka is at the top. What is interesting is that at no point thus far have we seen Luka's guardians. Has Luka become popular enough that he's been able to ditch them and maintain his position by his own power and success alone? Also analyzing the scene at 1:05, I find it interesting how primly he sits in the chair. He's not reclining like a triumphant king or a tyrant resting on his laurels. He's almost on the edge of his seat, eyes closed, shutting out the rest of the world. Like he's waiting or something.... like a doll left on the shelf even. His seat isn't even really a throne despite him being titled "Ruler of the Stage." He sits at the top but the lack of ornamentation on his person or relief in his face (really he just looks quietly tired and accepting) kinda reaffirms that in spite of his immense popularity and how he's "living endless glory days" he not in a much better position than other contestants. He stills has to sing, cater to an audience, toss aside any and all dignity just to ensure he keeps his head. I want to know more about him so badly... (T⌓T) Another thing to note is that this video provides a different, external perspective on how Alien Stage is perceived by the intergalactic community. In fact, it seems to hint at Alien Stage being relatively groundbreaking in their usage of humans and a target for debate amid rising concerns about humans in such a way that implies humans becoming more popular or powerful is something to be extremely wary of. The whole thing points to humans not being nearly as powerless as the first episode of Alien Stage led us to believe. The main question I have is who is the red head girl? Was she a previous Top 3 Alien Stage contestant? The first winner even? Probably not given the headshot she receives at 1:30. So curious.... bonus rambling: the opening really hammers home how obsessed aliens are with alien stage. We see them reaching, grasping at the light of the stage and the singers and, in another frame, crying. Aliens tend to depicted as fairly apathetic. That may be because we are shown them through the perspective of the humans they enslave but if they are naturally apathetic and emotionless that would explain their infatuation with alien stage. The songs humans sing are beautiful not just to the ear, but in how they have the ability to convey emotions. Grief, yearning, love, malice, and more can be conveyed in a single song. Perhaps the reason aliens love alien stage so much is because they crave not just the bloodshed and anticipation of the polls but because also the emotions conveyed through song. That, and the pile of coins reinforces what we know from Ivan's episode: there's a LOT of money to be made in and from Alien Stage.
Someone probably already pointed it out but, I'll just say it anyway to get it out of my head. There's a lot of tied ribbons in Luka's clothes, which could be a subtle way of hinting he's being puppeted, or restricted in some way. It adds evidence to the idea that Luka doesn't enjoy this and is, in fact, just as trapped as everyone else. I'd attribute the fact that he's always dressed in white to the idea that he's the golden boy in the eyes of the aliens. An angel who exhibits good, obedient behavior and get's treated slightly better in return. Just ideas tho. Edit: In light of All-In, I'm starting to think I'm wrong about this one lol.
I still think you’re not completely wrong. He was trained to excel at performing, but he wasn’t taught how to interact with his fellow humans. His real intentions are a mystery.
It's honestly very surprising how much Mizi's eyes changed from the day Sua died. Her eyes were shown as bubbly, hopeful, and glistening then after Sua's death- her pupils and iris became smaller, her eye shape sharper, and her hair color honestly looked a lot more duller and a lot less detailed than before. I know it's obvious, but grief and anger really messed her up internally and externally.
rewatching everything after round 6 'cause I'm in denial because there are a bunch of people out there that keep saying the collars explode when they lose, I think the shot at 1:30 here is the best proof that the losing contestant gets shot right in the head. None of them are wearing their collars when up on the stage and in round 1 too we see guards with guns after Sua dies. Idk what happened with her body, but I'm pretty sure she got shot, just like the girlie in this promo clip. also... IVAN WASN'T SHOT IN THE HEAD SO THERE IS STILL HOPE IDC!!!!
@@sunnysideup2881 I was in denial, then I started analysing stuff and came to accept it and now I'm back at huffing copium, because more than half of the fandom is just as delulu so I might as well join them :))) maybe if we all wish for him to be alive strong enough, we'll manifest it :)))))
hi can you please explain what this whole thing going on about i seriously don't undurstand . It seems like some kinda trendy video going on all over the internet😅 pity please if you could explain 😭
I happened to accidentally stay up and see this get posted for the premiere. This is definitely an awesome way on how you hype up the next installation. I’m so excited and nervous for what’s to come, like a good kind of anxiety (if that makes sense), but something tells me I should be prepared for tragedy just in case
I strongly believe luka is also another victim but unlike the others he just gave up fighting. Because it won't bring anything good from it and he knows that. I think he doesn't even like the fame he's given I've always thought that since the video where he makes his first appearance hiding from the cameras. But i feel like people are so focused on mizi beating him up and their entire ordeal in the latest episode that some automatically think that, that is his actual personality that he's fine with the way the aliens run things and that he has so problem but i strongly disagree. 1:05 He's just isolated and alone at the top of his throne he doesn't look proud of it or even smug about it but he's just there like a marinette waiting for someone to pull his strings.
Oh totally, I don't think Luka is a villain, he just feels empty inside, like if nothing mattered anymore. Also "winning" Alien Stage may not be the best situation to be in. I saw a comment under Round 5 saying he's showing his true face to Mizi and the shot where he's spraying his arms facing back the public, more than defy was a warning. Makes sense imo. Mizi is out of her mind after loosing Sua, it's probably not personnal, after all she* killed her friend by beating her and Luka has nothig to do with that (that we know of).
@@tdelioncourt1268 Luka pretty much took notice of her weak state and exploited that by provoking her. Sure, he may have won the games but still gets forced to play it anyway due to being a fan favorite, he's not entirely innocent in toying around his fellow contestants and giving the show the aliens wanted.
Can we appreciate how much ALNST content VIVINOS and their team give us?! Not only the high-quality videos which include original songs, story, and animation, but also the teasers, art, interview segments and such. I hope they aren’t overworking themselves but all this content is seriously amazing 💗 thank you VIVINOS, QMENG, and team! 🙏
I just realized. Given Luka being older than the rest of the contestants and the fact that they depict him sitting on a throne in this scene 1:05 that Luka has won the competition many times before. Which explains why he had such an air of ease and experience when he was pitted against Mizi.
don't u think we are somewhat like the monsters in alien stage. think about it, we watch these guys fight as an audience for entertainment. we want one to win more than the other. we watch them get beat and killed in horrific ways. and yet we keep coming back. this is amazing. thank you vivinos ♡
THE FACT THEY STILL WANT TO CONVINCE US THAT IVAN IS NOT DYING.... BUT HE DEFINITELY IS. YOU CANNOT TRICK ME INTO HOPE. IF I SUCUMB TO HOPE, I'LL DIE WHEN REALITY CRUSHES
I’m new to Alien Stage and here is how I interpret the characters based on their singing: Round 1: hope and love Round 2: determination and anger Round 3: sorrow Round 5: manipulation Round 6: sacrifice
@@xyr_07because there… wouldn’t be much point? round 4 would have been luka vs whoever else, and the main thing about luka atm is his whole manipulation thing which would have had much more impact on the audience if it was against mizi, a known character, rather than some random npc, so it makes lots more sense for them to just skip r4 and call it definite luka win because we know he was gonna win anyway LOL
@@neosnoeIn All In, there was the 3 of them- Luka, Hyundai and this other person and then when it gets cut to A boy dead and Luka in pain, do you think that their best friend is the person Luka killed and who would of been the next contestant in round 4? Just my theory
Things are only getting more and more heated up from here on out! Can't wait to see how the battle between all the Best Bois play out. Though, with this new video being released means that there are more hints, teases, and questions scattered throughout this video in regards on what's to come in Alien World. Specifically, questions like, Who was that girl with the gold choker at 0:15, Was she also a past champion like Luka? Who also was that girl at 1:16? Is she gonna be the replacement for Mizi who was abducted by the human terrorist thus causing Mizi and Luka's match to have an error and thus possibly causing a rematch and not just awarding the semi-finals spot to Luka who was destined to win that round? What meaning did that gunshot over glass have seeing as splattered blood perfectly aligns with her head and what is its relation to the human terrorist? Are one of those abovementioned girls secretly a part of the human resistance and snucked into the competition without blowing their cover? Was that Hyuna in the middle at 1:43 and were they worshipping an alien lifeform or working together with them? Can't wait for the next episode! Also can't wait to see more of Ivan XD Also, I just love that Till's just flipping off the crowd and I know for a fact that they're loving it more than he thinks that he's pissing them off XD (0:29), you can also see (0:44) that Ivan is sponsored by Nike and the one with a butterfly with a bite must be a subtle nod to Apple, but I can't remember what is that bottom one and the one at the top in the frame before this one.
as much as i love alien stage i know damn well the pain i'm gonna go through when Till and Ivan compete, only one of them is coming out alive 。
i knowww! I'm not sure if it is rude to have a guess for which shall stay, but i hope there would be a plot twist instead of the default stage! (˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥) ((just my little comment since i have no one who can relate ( ;´ - `;)
@@Liv-yc5gz Not sure if you agree but under my view Till winning is the predictable outcome since his crush with Mizi looks like something that could be explored more. However, I want Ivan to win because he has so much potential! I could talk for hours on why I like him. (just replying because I'm not entirely sure who you are favoring but if it's Ivan I'm with you!)
This was certainly a surprise premiere but a CERTAINLY WELCOME ONE! Happy to see some Alien Stage stuff here and there along with the random new person and our lovable traumatized contestants✨ Everything looks so dang crisp and pretty here so I can’t wait to see what comes next!!💖
Did you ntice that views of each of the top3 is tha same as the place let me explain : Most video had views is luka's 5,1M Next ,till with 4,1 M In 3rd plave ivan 3,3 Good work
Man im angry i wasnt awake for this, super excited for this though. I think the girl at 1:22 might have a connection to Luka, we're already in the semifinals with Ivan and Till being the finishing round that heads off into finals, so my theory is she must be a past participant. While it implies she died, i do think she mightve went against Luka in a past round which would make sense since Luka is a past winner. This could also give us his past, since in other rounds we got shown everyone's past
@Milk-ck1wv She appears right after Luka's part. We've seen the other contestants in other rounds when someone moves up, and nobody looks like her last time I checked. This is only a theory, and her appearance after Luka could be a coincidence, but like I said she could play a role in his past
She’s the person behind the gunshot cracked screen after she appears, so she’s probably dead by now. I thought she was some kind of announcer/host, but ig she’s a dead past participant.
It’s interesting to see the side of the Aliens on the Contest and how they justify their actions (Also I find it cool how Till is #2 when the crowd seemed to hate him before)
Idk if this means something but a lot of Ivan’s shots look like brand deals to me. Maybe that is supposed to show he is most willing to work with the aliens. I would normally guess Luka would do that but maybe he ended up getting a bit resentful over competing again. Idk
1:39 - 1:46 I think I figured it out this whole thing here it was always strange to me how they were all women I think this is some kinda birthmothers situation in the giver remember that humans are all called pets by the aliens, it also kinda reminds me of how we forcebreed animals this is so they can get more pet humans and whatever that thing at the top is is either like some kinda... higher being?? or something but most likely, to me, probably a machine
I love their use of a copyright free phonk music track,,, it adds so much to that generic tv gameshow ads that are trying to hype the event with like most basic marketing sense aslkdjalskdj its so funny but extremely fitting it!!!!
1:29 Ok so I’ve seen a few people theorize she has a connection to Luka but I’m starting to think she was the first winner. I say this because look at her position. We have never seen this girl before and we don’t see her with another person. Could it be that even if you win, you get shot? Maybe the aliens just kill the winner so they can get new, fresh entertainment? We only see active contestants be human celebrities. We haven’t seen past winners and that could be because there are no past winners anymore. The winners are just killed off and then a new season starts! Idk, yall tell me what you think.
Unsure if this was intentional on their part since we haven't seen much of Hyuna but at 1:53, Hyuna is portrayed to actually have her right leg while we know she actually has a prosthetic leg. Since her name tag which shows where the chips go for ALNST contestants prior to their performance is missing, Hyuna most likely lost her leg after that season (presumably during her escape). Edit: Checked the prologue and Hyuna actually has her prosthetic leg but is missing her name tag so it's possible that Hyuna lost her leg *before* the season actually started (I say it's possible because there are also a few continuity errors in that video and this could be one of them). Although, if it is true, my guess is that Hyuna lost her leg resisting the guards or had a failed escape attempt and lost it then but they still needed her to perform so they gave her a prosthetic?
I really hope someone steps in so neither Till or Ivan is eliminated. I love them both so much and I love their characters stories. They deserve happiness!
Ah I love to see more support on my theory on Till having no sponsors just cuz he didn't have any branding on him! Instead they highlight is rebelliousness and the such as if to entice people n leave an impression. I don't know if the theory is already confirmed but thanks for this good food!
The insane and rapid advancement on the quality of videos on this channel is amazing to watch. I’ve been following since the very beginning and the work you guys put out is spectacular!
the girl with braids really looks like she'd be a girl group idol... idk why it's so mind blowing to me but like now it's kicking in that they are literally idols fighting for their lives in a death game determined by the audience....
It's worth noting that Ivan really played the long game. VERY LONG. It seems like there was a large gap between everyones first and 2nd matches. Does this mean the owners milked their pets' success and glory as long as they could? And they could being them back in the game at any time? Or does this mean that whatever planet or place this performance is held has a slower rotation than Earth, thus longer days or weeks? Or even, a different concept of calculating time entirely. That could explain why everyone is significantly older by the time their 2nd match starts. It seems weird to think they would wait years in between otherwise, since this is just entertainment for them.
Also wanted to add, Whether its #1 in fandom for our world or in-universe, his favoritism shows. He's sleek, chic and glammed up, getting sponsorships left and right. Even in the next matchup, he's suited up like a true idol. He kept playing that role, earning their favor to gain power and prestige, likely all to protect Till 😢 bro became a certified actor for his unreciprocated love. -
