Hi Heiko, wieder ein tolles Video! Vielen Dank! Der Parker Variant hört sich sehr interessant an, obwohl ich kein besonderer OC-Fan bin. Der Flexi-OC ist auch mir zu aggressiv. Den Rex Konsul hatte ich zwischenzeitlich auch im Gesicht und bin von seinem sanften und gründlichen Rasurverhalten sehr begeistert. Er ist für mein Gesicht in jedem Fall besser geeignet als der Ambassador. Freue mich auf dein nächstes Video! Bis dann Jörg

Ich glaube, der Parker Variant Open Comb wäre auch was für dich. Er ist relative neu auf dem Markt. Der Konsul wird bei nur Sonntags benutzt, den muß ich schonen. Ich muss auch gleich bei Dir auf dem Kanal reinschauen. Gruß, Heiko

Nice to see the adjustables again. I truly have to go deeper into my Parker because it shaves way to heavy already on setting 1 ( close comb ) Now onto the not adjustables :)

Nice choices Heiko. I really enjoy the Parker variants both closed & open comb. Either would definitely be my top 2 adjustables out of a similar line up as yours.

Another thing to get, If you haven't tried it, is a Futur copy. The QShave is super cheap, and people say it is not as aggressive as the mer. When compared, it doesn't open up as much for similar settings.

Nice review Heiko. I have the Konsul and it is one of the best overall razors I have used. It is very efficient and extremely smooth. The Rockwell T2SS is milder than the T2 gunmetal you have. It might be worth trying it. But it isn't in the same class as the Konsul. I use my T2SS as a travel razor. The T1 brush is a travel brush size wise. If you can, get the T3 brush.

I might try another Simpson but I am leaning more towards the longer handle brushes like the M7 or one of their limited edition M6.

i lost my toiletry bag with 6c so i ordered a parker variant and it's a better T2 (which i returned because it was too aggressive) with great build quality and good efficiency.

Hallo Heiko, hoffe du hast dein Deutsch nicht verlernt. Der Konsul ist heute auch mein Standard. Am Anfang war er das nicht! Mit der Feather Klinge war er sogar unrasierbar. Heute ist er für mich ok. Wobei ich den Ambassador gründlicher finde. Die Rex Hobel sind dennoch unwiderstehlich 👌👍. Danke für dein tolles Video😀

Deutsch hab ich noch nicht ganz verlernt. Ich finde den Konsul ziemlich gut, allerdings benutze ich andere Hobel für die schnell Rasur um 6 Uhr morgen.

I think if you add a little bit more water to it next time, you will find Cella quite slick. At least that's what I experienced with the right water/soap ratio I consider it very slick. I like the scent as well. Great shave ! It seems like the Konsul never disappoints, the T1 performs really well for being small, Simpson's brushes are really nice.

You should try Yaqi's new razor, the Yaqi Adjustable Slope, and compare it to the Rex Konsul, to see how similar or different they are from each other.

Re the mildness of the T2, the 6C is also very mild (and I feel that #1 is a waste of a setting), but I'm getting great results using #2, but applying some reasonable pressure - sort of like how a cartridge is used. I do flip it over to #4 for a final ATG pass on my cheeks. I'm actually considering exchanging it for a T2 though (if I'm able to) - I'm not happy with the "sloppiness" in the build - the blade is not rigidly held in alignment by the posts, and nor is the baseplate - I have to carefully align it when I'm tightening it down

@@Heiko-shaveswelcome. Re the 6C, it's working very well, and the only tangible issue I've noticed when shaving is that the aggressiveness can be different on each side, if not carefully aligned. I.e - this issue with alignment is not causing any serious problems. The trouble I have is that once I notice any little problem, I obsess about it.

Hey Heiko! Are you going to try out the 2 new yaqi ultima variants? Open comb, and slant! My skin tollerances are similar to yours, id be curious to see what you think of them. Who knows, they could redeem the ultima for you!

Cella "not a super-slick soap" is something further for wet-shavers to discuss. Maybe someone else will take that as a topic and publicize a discussion on some y.t. video or someplace. Slickness is not everything! Maybe to have the lubrication or not for shaving depends on the person's hair and skin.

I like Cella OK. I just used it last night. Try face lather putting it on a little dry and an extra heavy coat. Then spray water on top and work it in. Works better for me.

Not worth a discussion. Just my opinion. It is a good soap just not as slick as others. I might combine it with a pre shave layer of creme next time.

Do you agree that Rockwell 6C or 6S is a better choice than Rockwell T2? Many people on youtube say that you can really use all six plates, where number 1 is useful, and number 6 is not aggressive beyond any good taste. And yes, T2 has so big head, which is not so bad, but it is bad to have half a centimeter from both sides of the blade with no blade, it is just empty space.

The T2 is a nicely designed razor but setting 1-2 is almost useless and you are absolutely right, the cutting edge is too far away from the edge of the razor. The 6C or 6s is the better razor in my humble opinion.

I absolutely love marzipan so that Cello soap would be ideal for me, but it's in a plastic container which bums me out maaaan. I'm trying to reduce plastic waste which is the reason why I got into wet shaving to begin with. Looking for soaps, creams, aftershave etc in either glass or metal containers with minimal plastic involved (can't do much about caps) and Razorock does pretty well in this regard. So does Taconic. A&E's new vegan soaps also check the box. Anyone have other recommendations?

Stirling soap sells refill pucks that would fit your empty cella container. It is only waist if you throw it away. If you reuse the container for a refill puck, that is the best way of recycling right there.

I'm assuming you don't consider the Rockwell 6 s/c adjustable? I finally bought one and I love plate 4 for my face and plate 2 as a head shaver. Great video as usual. Cheers- Kevin

Yeah, I mentioned that before, it is adjustable in a way but not on the fly like the others. Good razor though.
