I'm dull and boring and love LLATL 😂😂 This is our first year doing it and it has been great! My boys are older...5th and 7th grade. They have been happy with it, compared to previous things we've used :)
Audrey, I know you posted this a long time ago, but can you tell me how your 5th grader likes LLATL purple? My 5th grader didn’t like TGATB, too artsy and random, Abeka is SO rigorous and dry, LLFLE isn’t enough & needs too many supplements. I’m thinking of LLATL for him bc be loved to read. I hope you see this :)
@@MW11-3 I would say it depends on the child. My older ones don't do any other spelling. They have weekly dictation that helps with spelling, as well as the last level (gray) has a spelling list in the back of challenging words to add to your assignments each week. The upper levels are quite challenging and I see no reason to supplement 😃
We use The Good and Beautiful LA for my son Level K. They are redoing their LA this year. We also use Master Books LA for my daughter. I know you did this 2 years ago, but you might double check the Good and Beautiful again.
I looked at the Good and beautiful and I saw the same issue you dealt with. It was Overwhelming for the child and then the writing dive- Aaaaaa!!! It should’ve been a build up. I will however, use the geography in TGTB for geography studies. Great review! Thanks!
Great review of all three. We are using LLFLE level one and had to supplement for phonics and reading. No biggie. But have started looking at LATL more closely. But I do love the simplicity of LLFLE and the bible woven into it. Just wondering if you still like LLFLE ?
