I never considered throwing a big shad glidebait, now I will gteat idea. And I totally agree with you about pond basd becoming educated. The pond I fish has GIANT shad and I feel that the bass eat them at night and then they snub their noses to everything we throw at em. Pond used to fish great but not sou much anymore, maybe these glide baits will work.
Always look forward to your videos, Edwin! Been following your career for years. Really appreciate your boldness for Christ and your Sunday scriptures. God Bless!
I got to meet you a couple years back at the East Tennessee fishing show it was great talking to you and I learned a lot in a little time talking and it followed you ever since when you pick me for the glide bait please sign it thank you for all you do and helping everybody to have a better day on the water
Straight to the point with the information and I love how I can understand the way you describe everything. I watch alot of videos and i am a new subscriber to this channel but I will be watching this guy from now on!
Thank you for your lure recommendations, Edwin! All three of your suggestions make perfect sense. The shallow bite is FIRE in the fall! That new Berkley Nessie sure looks intriguing, I can't wait to try one.
Thanks for exposing us to the Nessie, looks like a great bait. I've never tried a glide bait before, they always seem way too expensive and in pike country, it may not return to the boat. Hoping this may be my first glide bait experience.
great advice i will try the new bait ! i have been keeping notes in a note book with all of your advice and baits from each mouth trying to catch some big fish have not yet with little help from god i get one ... and i would like to know what is your favorite like in ohio???
Man all three of these look so unique and fun and guaranteed to get bit. I would love to toss these at my pressured lakes and ponds in NC this fall and winter. Keep up the awesome videos and I hope you have a great fall fishing season!
Edwin, man I love the videos. Beaver lake is super tuff right now. The water level is super low. Went out your neck of the woods to tenkiller and did pretty good. Thanks for all the tips and always being positive.
As always, I look forward to these videos to learn about baits and lake breakdowns. Thank you for taking the time to pass on knowledge Edwin! I got to get my hands on that glide bait!!! And definitely going to give that frog a try as well. God bless!!!
Great video dude. You’re one of if not my favorite Basser. The Nessie isn’t out yet(continued delays in production). You pros get lures I can’t get yet. Berkley does a fabulous job on improving the Japanese plugs and I expect the Nessie to be a killer. I now fish from a Hobie PA 14 360 loaded, and I find it harder to fish a yak than off the deck of a bass boat but I’m learning. The Nessie appears to swim similar to the Sluggo baits but with more of an actual bait fish appearance and greater size. It’s suppose to be a hard winter, I live in Texas and our weather temps give us longer fishing seasons and we are just getting past 100 deg. temps so it’s about to really get fun. Keep those videos coming. They are the best. Thanks
If your in Oklahoma I will take you fishing if you can show me some tips on catching bass. Catching bass on big lakes from a boat is so much harder then ponds.
Hey Edwin great videos as always very informative. I had just a general question for you .I grew up using a jitterbug, always loved the bite and still do one of my personal favorites. I don't hear of many that still use it, what is your thoughts? Like or not? Thanks buddy appreciate it .
I really want to try that nessie! I want to get into Swimbait fishing, but I’m intimidated by the high prices and large sizes. Excited to try the other lures this month aswell.
I was intimidated by big baits myself...UNTIL, I ordered a spro bbz rat-50 which is 10" long, 2 1/2 oz...didn't realize how big it was, but I took it out on an early fall day just to see it...3rd cast, a 2 1/2 lb. er smoked it! That day, I've been a big bait addict ever since ..what an adrenaline rush
Thanks again. You have helped me get better by being willing to try something else and still catch fish. Your ability to break down a lake is amazing and fun to watch. Cheers
Man I really been wanting to get my hands on a couple of those Berkeley nessie's. Today's the 17th of October I'm in Pennsylvania. Other than Sunday I've been struggling like crazy to catch them. It seems like as soon as the water gets below 60° I can't find a fish anywhere
I need to try out the Nessie swimbaits. They sure are light weight when compared to other glides. I’m glad your pecans filled out. Mine are all shriveled up because we (Texas) haven’t had a 1” of rain (total) since may. This makes 2 years in a row I didn’t get a crop. My pecans are my only income. I sure hope this heat and drought isn’t going to be the norm in yearly weather patterns. I went through the entire summer with no AC. No pecan crop means no money to pay electric bills.
Thank you for the great tips EDWEN!!!.. These vids are awesome!!.. I am catching a lot more fish because of your content!!. PRAISE ALLMIGHTY GOD and keep em coming!!
Great bait choices. Looking forward to trying Nessie. We have been smashing them on chatterbaits the last couple weeks on Beaver. Looking forward to throwing it the rest of this month.
Have you tried the cast king hybrid hunter? Amazing action, it floats and dives very shallow, about 1 1/2 feet. I just bought the Abu Garcia revo 3 Rocket size 30 spinner. Can you or anyone reading this recomend a rod? Med/heavy 7 foot. Price around 100 to 200.
Thanks alot for all your helpful tips and fishing ideas!!! I love fishing with crankbaits and swim baits this time of year!!!! Thanks again and enjoy your upcoming holiday season!!!
I'm really excited for this fall! Will definitely have to try these baits out. Recently caught my PB (6lbs 2oz September 29th) following your tips! Thank you for the great content, keep it up!
Those new glides are legit. What a perfect name....Nessie(Loch Ness Monster) because it will catch monsters. If you can throw a 6 inch senko...you can throw a 6inch swimbait!
Love this time of the year and definitely love gluide bait fishing and who don't love top water it's 5:41 am bout to back my boat in and 🙏 they r on that guide just entered a 36 boats tournament u have the best content thanks for taking the time to pass on ACCURATE KNOWLEDGE 😂
Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us. I have learned so much watching your videos. You do a great job explaining different baits and techniques. Thanks Edwin.🎣
I like that you add a action video along with your explanation of the lure/bait.. There's so much to learn about different lures, different seasons, for different lakes, rivers, etc.. Thank for sharing buddy, I'm always looking for fishing tips!!
Good video... I'm a new subscriber (as of seeing this video) looking forward to trying some of your wisdom in the pond in my backyard! I will let you know how it goes ... all three are new to me ( not chatterbaits necessarily but slobberknocker particularly, as well as the Nessie and the powerbait paddle frog... thanks again ! God bless you and yours... -Paul from athens, Ga
Awesome tips. My daughter and I fish in a club. She asked me to join with her last year. I think she regrets that decision. I beat her out for Rookie of the year. This year I’m struggling. She’s kick butt in 2nd place so far. I will grab these baits. And give them a try. We both throw big glides, only ones in our club to do so. She has the biggest bass of the year. Maybe this will change my luck. (Psss don’t tell her my plans). Thanks for another great video
Sweet video .but you know I live in sandiego and the lakes here I'm sandiego are pressured and none of those lures work here and I've tried similar ones but not those exact ones .I'll try amd give it another shot and maybe things will turn around for me
Love these videos, always check them out before going out to my local lake👍 Quick question, I'm new to glidebaits myself.... what gear ratio reel for the 7 or 9 inch model Nessie? To make it easier to work quick or slide back and forth. Keep up the great content 👏
Hi Edwin. Thank you for these videos. I’ve found them to be very beneficial. Any chance we may see some more kayak content with the Ascend 133 all rigged out? Stay safe and God bless
Thanks for the great tips Edwin! Some great baits you have recommended for sure. Your tips are always a big help to me and I'm sure many others. Keep up the great work my friend! God bless!
Love the tips, Edwin! I’ll have to check my local Academy and see if they’re carrying that swimbait. Seems like the 5” might be good for hybrid stripers too!
Interesting 🤔🤔 after 20 years I'm getting back into fishing. I think these lures would be better than others I have seen! I'm still building up my tackle. Thanks for the info!
As usual some good advice and looking to try a "Neesie". I'm sure the toothie critters would love that. Now buzzing a toad on a calm, clear day looks promising. Thanks again E, keep the tips coming.
I need to fish the nessy. I heard a couple good things about that bait already. I’m little intimidated about throwing a glide bait. Thanks for the video looking forward to next months baits. Tight lines my fellow fishing friend 💪🏽🎣🤙🏽
Absolutely ❤ watching your videos. I really wish we could have used these on the last tournament we fished. Spro Frog 🐸 Tournament was a rough one!!! 🤨
Always love the monthly bait vid. I can honestly say I’ve been learning from you since I was a kid. Always been my favorite fisherman and couldn’t tell you why lol maybe it’s an Oklahoma thing.
Great baits. I use the baits you talk about every month. I have caught a lot of fish on some baits you talk about just by using your tips. I’ll definitely be using these baits. October is the hardest month for me. Especially when I’m fishing out the back of the boat. Thanks so much.
Thanks so much for the October tips, maybe this will help this tough month. I love the tips on the frog have already placed my order for three different colors and the hooks. Happy fall fishing.
I had a really good feeling about the buzz toad, so thanks for confirming that for me and I'm not big on glide baits, their kinda intimidating for me that's why I've never thrown one but if I do, its gotta be that Berkley Nessie. I'm excited for that release.
Love the tips that you give us every month. I do have a day that in the fall up here in NY, sometimes you got to slow down a little bit to get bites. Especially with a slobberknocker. Thanks Edwin
This is probably my first year ever of fishing for the fun of it and your videos are extremely helpful and am looking forward to utilizing the advice. Btw I could use one of those batteries. Hint hint.
I finally got my first top water LMB this year and now have the fever. I need to work up some confidence for glide baits, but I'm sure they're gonna be fun!
I thoroughly enjoyed this video! I have been getting into fishing this year and I live in the low country and mainly fish in ponds as of now! Any additional tips would be so helpful but I'm definitely excited about that Nessie 🎣
