Thanks for the video, Catherine. Currently, I work with VIPkid and am considering applying with Outschool so I can teach some of the things that I used to teach in the Brick and Mortar setting. Copyright is my main concern right now. (I watched your video on that too!) I wonder: Can we require that they purchase a book for the course? That would solve some issues I think. Hope to hear back from you. I have subscribed! :)
Thanks so much for sharing these videos! I have learned so much from you. I haven't taught my first class yet because I am just wanting to be very prepared. One question I have is are you able to share control of the screen so that students can select and move objects?
I love your videos. Informative but short. Invaluable info. I wish I could use you as a referral but I already started the hiring process. I am undergoing my background check now.
Thanks so much for your tips. Do you have any suggestions for how to handle students who have their cameras off and don't volunteer to answer, and don't say anything when you ask them questions? It is so hard to know what is going on without any visual clues.
What times of the day are you working? Are you making more with Outschool than VIPKid ? I'm considering a switch with the new pay scale that will be coming i n August.
DustyErin3 Currently, I teach 9am to around 3:30pm M-F with a few 15-30 breaks in between and an hour for lunch. Yes, I’m making way per month than what I made with VIPKID! Email me with any questions! I’m happy to help you 😊
How do you determine what classes to teach as well as how much you charge? Is there some magic hourly rate lol that is both sustainable to teachers and attractive to parents?
