My surgery overseas cost 5k and I’m really happy with the results. I was quoted 17k here in Australia. Until the price is even close to being competitive, people will continue to flock to other countries.

Great video guys! I watched it from beginning to end, and found your remarks very useful. I would suggest in the future actually writing down the '3 mistakes' behind you, as and when they arise in your discussion together. It helps crystallise for the viewer exactly what to beware of. Many thanks
Nice to know Ethics still exist in 2023. When I see these hair transplants coming out of Turkey I can't help but to think how happy I am that i went with you guys instead back in 2019.
@tonedwithtj6847 cmon now dude I got 1 from Dr Knudsen 12 years ago...600 grafts was $4500...guy at my work went to Turkey last year and got 6000 grafts cheaper than my 600🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good advice about the long term prognosis after grafting. Lots of risks with ongoing hair loss. IMO, start early on finasteride, and grafting should be last resort.
I got hair loss on the top of my head from the front to the crown. It getting quite thin but I still have some hair. I am currently 28 years old. The hair thinning is only on the top of the head and a tiny bit down the back around the crown, it don't go down the back of the head. My hair is quite thick elsewhere. My hair is dark blonde and somewhat wavy. I am considering whether or not to get a hair transplant. From the research I have done, I think FUT would be best for me as you can get more hair over your lifetime. I am assuming I would probably need at least two procedures at the minimum, more likely three, if I was to get a hair transplant. What would your thoughts be on this? Would you turn someone like me away that is my age and this degree of thinning? I am currently using minoxidil foam and laser light therapy. I am not interested in finasteride due to potential side effects. I already talked to doctors and did my own research on finasteride and I don't think it is for me. If I was older, maybe 50 plus, with children I would try it.
Hi, do you have any opinion on the prospects of using electrical stimulation to activate stem cells, like Niostem is developing? Their “study” seems promising but I couldn’t find it anywhere respectable like pubmed. Is theoretically what they advertise possible?
I have a question about post-operative recovery, hair shedding and dieting. I had my transplant surgery about 6 weeks ago and am already in the shedding phase. I understand this is normal and I’m not concerned. However, I was recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and my GP wants me to go on a 12-week very low-calorie diet. I know that some people may develop hair loss called telogen effluvium (TE) during low-calorie diets. Usually, this hair grows back after the diet has ended. I am more concerned about permanently damaging the newly transplanted hair grafts. Is there a significant risk of this if I do a very low-calorie diet? I am taking finasteride and using minoxidil as well.
@thehairlossshow Can you please discuss hair transplant using body hair (chest, legs etc.)as donor, assuming they are thick enough. How successful can this be?
Hi, I have a question. Why can't we use body hair to fill up the bald area.. you know, body hair doesn't serve much and they are the perfect hair, resistant to baldness..🤷
Can I use finasteride on alternate days (e.g. Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Monday,...) instead of 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) will it get better or not (I definitely did not forget the dose). Thank you so much.
Hi doctor. Im 4 month post HT and having multiple stubbles. I noticed them on month 3 and they dont seem to grow in length. Will these eventually grow in the future? Thank you
Depends how resistant your hair is to dht..For some fin completely haults hairloss.. For others it's still a slow progression..And for some it doesn't really work at all....I'm optimistic that in the next few years we should see treatments that will completely stop MPB and be able to reverse it to some extent
Hey dr i hope you’re doing great and i really hope u answer this question, if someone already had Androgenetic alopecia and then had telogen effluvium does telogen effluvium accelerate the miniaturization process? Or it doesn’t affect the underlying androgenetic alopecia?
I did 7000 grafts a month ago and i feel im a bit bald on the back of the head😢 Is there any way to fix that? Will it look more natural when hairs grow a bit more?
Love the videos - I'm 17 and have been experiencing a small bald spot on the crown and I had some density decrease whilst going to India for a trip. Its been tough emotionally in highschool, but the dermatologist I saw here in brisbane I feel didn't really have a good idea of what was happening and she wasn't the most experienced with it either. Really wanted to know is it possible to meet Dr Russel Knudsen or Dr Vikram Jayaprakash in Brisbane as I'm just lost on what direction to take . - Appreciate any advice
With all respect to these 2 drs for what they have studied , a hair technician from overseas can do and knows better , was quoted 15k for a hair transplant here in Sydney absouletely expensive and lets not talk about thier experince ah zero . . Went overseas got it done for a quater cost im very happy going back again next year for sure . . . Make it less costy so we dont have to do it eles where .
@@Peleski it's not about a jackpot , think and research well before you do your hair transplant, even overseas technicians will try to hit your pocket any way possible. That's why the right clinic and experienced technician gives you the right results 😉
@@sniper4646 It's a jackpot. You get none of the protections you would in your home country. I'd be surprised if you can even get insurance. Very very risky.
@@RiskyTingz08 i tried everything everydose it same it keep giving me that side effects from first three days even saw palmetto same it wasnt giving me that side effects but after using finastride and getting that side effects tried to go back to saw palmetto it caused me same side effects i dont know whats wrong
