In New York you don't need to have commercial registration and no need to buy a car under company name. The problem buying a car under company name is you can't get any 0% financing deals. Dealer's they never sale for 0% financing to companies only to individuals. And it's a big factor when you buying a new car. Also if you want to drive for uber black only buy a new car and for uber x only used cheapest car you can find.
What about insurance??? You need commercial insurance to drive black correct? What is the cost of that month and how come you’re not detecting this and showing this spreadsheet on your earnings and expenses?

I've seen some people in LA driving Uber black with regular plates with no TCP. They're never suburbans and escalades, always some less common cars like Tesla Model X or MB E class/BMW 5 series (all very new). Do you know how they became qualified without TCP and just with regular registration? (Their license plate is not commercial plate so I assume it's not a commercial registration).
There are some people who do it illegally. They can put any car and any color to do uber black. Many people who do it legally are trying to fight illegal drivers. In 2020, Uber did clean them up, but they found other way to do it
Let me tell you logic behind that, most of them are not fake cars but they do have commercial insurance and tcp, however, they choose not to put commercial plates and tcp stickers, because that marks them as target in the airport. The authorities at the airport are not your friends.

If it's your first time and/or bad insurance history yes that is cheap. Audi A8 L 2018 was quoted for $1M +$1M UM/UDI which is about $600/mo but suv in MOST states needs more coverage, in Virginia where I live they need $1.5M
