So many people over-project valuations and are too stingy with the equity percentage when in the longrun, they'd gain back more than they gave away. These people will back their investments to protect their reputations. In so many post-den and tank interviews, it's, 'We sold more equity than we wanted, but we've made millions!" I think a lot of people are looking for a cheap bailout. I've seen peopel with debt they are reluctant to disclose. Sad.

if i was Duncan - i would have obstinately stuck to my guns.. said a deal is a deal - but to let Peter feel that all is fair - gone down to 20% and chosen a charity that 2% of the outgoing dividends would be donated to..

Almost none of the people on the show see a penny from these so called deals. It's all acting mostly

@@BigWes95 just because the dragon’s partner with you in one business does not make them “most likely” to work with you nor invest in other opportunities, you need to stop being so naïve, it would be a very rare thing for them to invest twice in the same person because 1) that person means essentially nothing to them & 2) if they invested in you once it either went great, you made good money & therefore can use that to push your next project along, dragons don’t invest just to invest, they invest when they feel they can add to it so if they helped teach you & helped you make money in your first business they may feel they won’t have much to add the second time around OR they invested, it went poorly & then obviously they aren’t gonna trust you with their money a second time. Regardless it takes a VERY special person under VERY special circumstances for a dragon to invest in someone twice, there’s been quite a few entrepreneurs who’ve gone on the show that had a dragon or dragons invest in them originally with another business, but the second time around in the den with a different business they got 0 offers & some of the dragons have even said “just because I’ve invested in you once doesn’t mean I’ll do it twice”. Saying they’re “most likely” to partner on further opportunities because they worked on one thing together is beyond silly, naïve & pretty ignorant low IQ thinking in all honesty.

@@jaxm3584 that’s not true at all, it’s shocking how ignorant your thinking is. Peter has made a lot of money from more than a few successful dragons den businesses, they’re literally publicly listed with a good bit of background information on his website & there’s many websites to check companies income/profit so if you use that brain of yours to do something useful & do simple math based on the invest number, equity number & how much the company made you can literally see how much the dragons have made off their investments. You should educate yourself before opening your mouth.

I wouldnt say he “put duncan in his place” its just Duncan has a big heart he directly realised his mistake and agreed to give the equity percentage back I love Duncan

Definitely has been more a business man than an investor.

Peter lost everything not so long earlier. He managed to make it again and I think he became super focused and blunt to make sure that never happened again. Dunno if I like the guy or not but I think I understand his way.

To be fair, Peter said "I'll bring my offer down to 20%, and if you get another dragon at 20%, I'd be willing to do that." He could have pulled out when Duncan stayed at 22% but probably didn't want to jeopardize the guy's deal, since Duncan and the pitcher ignored that clause.

That's how it goes, there's a lot of good ideas that don't make money and then you have dumb smart ideas like the eye lashes you can put on your car that sells really well.

That’s completely untrue, stainless comes with that on from manufacture it’s not held on by static charge either. It’s there to protect the surface from being scratched even on 1B and 2B finished sheets. It also stops it marking when you bend it on a press brake. The protective coating is much thicker than ‘magic whiteboard’

It's the pre investment value which is more correct. Post investment the company will have the extra 150k in the bank so will be worth 600k +150k=750k

Why would the dragons accept? They'd be 'selling' back a tenth of the company when the investment starts to make money.

@@caitlinbarker645 Because then they can't lose anything, they can only make profit and end up owning 30% of a potentially prolific business at no cost.

@@stephencurran1164 True. Seems it could be counter-productive if money that would otherwise be reinvested into the company is paid out instead. But that assumes the dragons are prioritising the longer term income over risk to themselves.

Not really..you can put the egg in cold water and turn on the stove. You don't need to wait for the water to boil

I can cook an entire dozen boiled eggs in my air fryer, or less if needed, in 15 minutes, with zero water, zero timer, zero mess.

I have already commented on this, but I am sure I have seen a product like this at Aldi called an egg cooker.

Halogen ovens cook eggs perfectly, without water, for the same result every time.

I bought my first direct egg cooker 10 years ago, there are dozens of them about already.

@@fearlessjoebanzai if you want a soft boiled egg, with a runny yolk, cook it less time. Somewhere around 8 to 11 minutes depending on how soft you want it. Cool it off in tap water for just a few minutes before cracking. If you want a poached egg in the air fryer all you have to do is crack the egg into a ramekin, you can do several at a time in their own individual ramekin, with a couple of teaspoons of water on top. Air fryers are awesome.

A glass or two? You’ve gotta pump those numbers up. Those are rookie numbers in this racket

This one is since it didn't work, but they're actually pretty prevalent these days. My parents have one. Loads of companies make them though, so it's not like it's an original idea.
