Anyone looking for the links, skip all the BS ads from Banggood (don't buy from this place lmao) as well as the batteries and servos links and they're the last 3 links at the bottom.
(springs recommendation) Hi. Man, I'm sad. I can't find stiffer springs for Maxx. I just want to do big jumps without hitting the chassis. I live in Brazil and I can't take the risk of buying expensive springs that don't work the way I want. Can you recommend me any? You have many RC car models, is there any other models that the springs are compatible with Traxxas Maxx 4S? It helps me to look it up on the internet.
As always great tips man. Would you have any recommendation for the Arrma Karton and also are you thinking of getting the new Arrma. Can’t wait she hopefully will be in the uk soon That’s for the great vids
I fitted a set of Traxxas Talon Sportyraxx 5.75x3.5/3.8. Will comment how it does after I run it later today. Slight bit of body rub in the back, so that could be an issue.
Great video sir. I love it when people speak clearly and concisely. I just purchased my Maxx and I can't believe how much I love it. Keep up the good work. You just earned yourself a subscriber!!! 😎
Ballooning isn't always a bad thing. Some people act like if a tire balloons it's a sign the tires are no good. For extreme bashing I the softer a tire the better.
Number 1 is totally useless. Much better to upgrade to the metal driveshafts and splined hubs with proper wheel nuts. That's just thickening a too thin shaft just for better wheel fitment just moving the stress a step back. Besides it looks bad.
Hi, Does the 4S battery you've recommended above fit the Maxx? Also, I just saw a vid where Traxxas have released whats known as a widemaxx kit , It increases the track by 20 mm on each side. So you might be able to use those tyres after all :-) and maybe corner like a Kraton
Would have liked to have seen how it handled with the shock oil change with the standard tyres, then again after the tyre change. You showed how it drove after the tyre change but not after the shock oil change.
Does the Traxxas "wrench" you have in your hand fit in the Maxx wheels? My wrench from my E-Maxx doesn't and a craftsman 17mm socket is very tight. Any help appreciated. Thanks for all your great videos.
Just bashed my MAXX today with the 40/50 shock oil as you suggested. Very nice! Thank you sir 👍🏻. Also tried out my rustler today with 60 oil front & rear and that worked really well. Car still handles really well, less bounce and got rid of allot of that nasty body slap...
Ritchie you do some of the most honest and entertaining videos out there, even for someone who’s deserted the sinking ship called the 🇬🇧 😂 I’m learning so much. My wife’s getting a bit fed up hearing RC car reviews every time I pick my iPad up but I can live with that...... As long as she doesn’t find out my master plan to swamp every spare inch of the house with kit! X
David thanks so much for this comment it makes it all worth while, hoping the damn awful rain has eased there a bit. I watch the election/brexit developing from afar with horror. Likewise people watching TV about the USA in the UK probably can't believe what's going on here. Stay safe! Are you getting new RC's for XMas?
Lol, rc cars for Christmas? We don’t spend much on each other for Christmas as we also have to get presents for our two daughters and Husbands and four grandchildren. It would be very costly. We’re happy to know that Jesus is the best gift of Christmas. And God gave him for free. I have my new Arrma Senton 3s 4x4 blx and Joy gave me £50 towards it, I know it’s a little old fashioned but all of our 40 years of marriage I’ve had pocket money. I’m no good at housekeeping so it works better for me. I currently get £40 a week, if I want to buy anything it comes out of that likewise if I need to save it comes out of that. That’s why I’m currently saving for my batteries but I have the Arrma Typhon 6s v4 in my sights as well as others. It’s still very cold and damp here, not seen the sun for ages it seems and the ground can take no more water but thank the Lord we haven’t had a big deluge of rain, just short showers and drizzle. Regards Dave x
@@DriftomaniacsRC they're hot racing part number ERV10X60. I got them at nankin hobby in southgate mi., I think you can get them online. You have to cut the threaded ends of the axle to 8.5 mm from the hex to fit the barrel nut on . Or try part number ERVt10w.
If you watch the slo mo a few times it looks like the thinner stock oils looked like it did a better job as the car never bounced it just stopped thud that’s it no after movement either I think that’s better and I’ve been doing a real long test on jumping and how forward momentum can stop the chassis from hitting the ground doing a bigger jump by far Beside a test of simple dead weight falling and how much it takes to get chassy slap It’s a perfect science I swear and I was always the kid in the back of the class left to doodle lol 😆 Good testing is always great even epic to do Someone has to 😀👍 Sure glad you do to good job dude good video 🙂🤘
When clicking the Powerhobby belted tire link above it clearly is a different tread than in your video. I figured out it must be the Powerhobby raptor series. What compound are you using in video?
Great video. I hope proline makes a wheel that will work soon. I like the taller sidewall of those badlands for off road bashing. The stock tires have too much grip on pavement already IMO. I think the wheels you put on would be sweet if you could space them out about a half inch, should add to the stability.
I subscribed because of your checked Vans.....Just kidding, great informational video. Just bought one for my wife as I have a Xmaxx. Thank you for the information!
Hey man great video. I just got the powerhobby belted tires for my maxx. I only have one issue at the moment and it is that they wobble. I am still running the stock wheel nut with blue washer. do you think upgrading to proper 17hexx hubs should fix the issue?
Aaron I've done a 4 way tire test on this. The MX 28's don't fit, I'll try the 3.8's I have when I get chance to take the gearing down a bit but Do not but the 28's they fit on but as much as I love my prolines they foul on the suspension
now that's an open ended question as a lot depends on the gearing and how YOU drive it! It doesn't come with a battery although a 5000mah pack should be good for 20 mins, hope that helps a bit!
Apologies I thought it was up, that said when I've checked on powerhobby.com they currently are showing out of stock. I'll keep an eye on the site over the next few days
