I gotta admit, as a kid I never understood Gimli yelling threats at Aragorn coming back and then nearly breaking down but as an adult who’s lost friends, I would absolutely do that if they walked up the porch after I thought I saw them meet their end
The original star wars. My uncle said in the theaters when the ship flew past in the first seconds of the film he thought. " thats a big ship. " then a few seconds later when the star destroyer keeps flying overhead and just kept coming he said. " Oh no, thats the big ship!"
Well let me tell you. Watching that star destroyer fill the screen in a big theater. It was awesome. You really didn't think about what you were seeing, you just gawked at it and your brain went WOW!
little known fact is that the MCU wouldn't have existed without blade. Whilst it wasn't a huge success, it did make a profit, money the production company needed after selling off their best IP (spiderman) It proved that comic book live action movies could be profitable and so they started planning the MCU, Ironman came out and pretty much set the benchmark for the rest, many consider Blade as the foundation like a building upon everything else was built.
Your grasp of what a fact is, is tenuous at best. You do realize there are well known interviews where this topic is discussed? Of course not. It takes a 5 second google search to figure out you are a pile of garbage. Good luck sloshing your way through life.
I was 7 years old in 1977 when Star Wars came out and got to see it at an old style huge cinema. The initial scene with the Star destroyer was literally jaw dropping.
I had the same experience, magnified because the movie was being played in a 785 seat, single screen theatre and the only seat I could get was down in the front row!
Rogue One is, imo, the most realistic entry in the saga. Everyone dies, its not all warm and cuddly. And yes, Darth Vaders entrance at the end was fkn spectacular.
The entrance is spectacular and not just because it shows how deadly he is but also because the rebels who know they are going to die and still not giving an inch of that hallway without him having to take it. Even when they get disarmed nobody backs away except the one who tries to get the gun of the guy at the door with the plans and get slammed to the wall as the reward of his effort.
For Terminator I actually enjoyed his 2nd movie entrance more. There was so much more action with him demolishing an entire biker bar and the scene where he killed the 3 punks in the first movie was pretty brief. Plus I like that he did not kill anyone. Made it obvious he would be the hero this time around.
I hate when people say Wick did it all over the dog. It was what the dog represented. His wife sent him a puppy after her death so he wouldn’t be lonely and forget how to love. He’s an assassin, I bet that was the first time he ever cried.
Since you asked; Although Jaws is credited with creating the Summer Blockbuster, you must remember film releases were already set, so the summer of 1977 was not looking to be special. I only saw Star Wars because I had nothing else to do that afternoon. I took in an early afternoon show- and sat through it three times. They didn't kick you out in those days. I did not move from my seat. The only reason I did not stay for the late show; my eyes could not take anymore. It was spectacular.
I recall reading Harry Potter growing up but the book that held my attention the most had to be Goblet of Fire. I started reading it in elementary school when AR (Accelerated reading) was a program for my area. We had to read on our own or have our parents sign off on our time read. I came in with over 10 hours per day read because I was so transfixed on the story. 10/10 I'd read again.
Darth Vader's entrance...yup it was all that. And yes, the opening scene with the star destroyer se the tone. I was 11 and we got to the theater late. It was in NYC. The only seats available were up front. No one wanted to sit there because it was an IMAX sized screen. So I was literally in the front row looking up at the start destroyer as it came on screen. It extended outside of my field of vision. Indelible.
re:seeing sw iv when it was released. awesome. i still have the "may the force be with you button" that was given away at the showing at edwards newport cinema (at the time, one of the largest screens on the west coast)
I was lucky to win a ticket on a radio show to go to the premiere of Star wars new hope at the Empire Cinema in Leicester Square in July 1977.. I was 16 at the time, it was the most amazing experience I had ever had and to see the opening scene is something I will never forget, even now at 63 I still remember it and the reaction of the audience. It was truly a massive step in cinematography
I can tell you first hand what it was like watching Star Wars for the first time in 1977, sitting in the back seat of a Datsun B210 at the drive-in movies, watching out the windshield between my older sibs, I was 11, I actually looked out the back window to see if the Star Destroyer was coming from behind us. My sibs had already sen it once and were waiting to see how I would react to the opening. Yup I'm that old.
I generally liked Thor: Love and Thunder, and even found Quantumania fun, though both movies could have been better, but I really would like to go back and watch the climax of Avengers: Endgame again for the first time.
What about Leon (the professional) or Sauron in the Lord of the Rings the fellowship in the epilog upfront when the battle of the last aliance is shown. That's a bad ass entrance. And as for legendary, as someone mentioned in such a list The Blues Brothers are a must to be included too!
Sorry to point it out, but for David Bowie his surname is pronunciated like "arrow and Bow-e" not "David Bow at the King-e". David (arrow) Bowie .. and he always rocks
He's been known as '(Take a ) B-oww-ee' in the UK since he became really big in 1972. That's over 50s years, so we're not likely to change it now. And that's despite me knowing that David himself said in an interview that it should be Bow(and arrow)ee.
Definitely going to need a part 2 because I'm also thinking of Yennefer's entrance from The Witcher after she gets her glam up. Also, Drogo's appearance from GOT after he's all grown up and Daenerys first gets to ride him for the first time. And if we're going to talk about Vader's entrance, I think honorable mention should also go to Dark Helmet from Spaceballs as well. 🤣🤣🤣
No one in the sequels or prequels of Star Wars was great. And only in the episode where Luke died was the full awesomeness shown...and dying after a fight is not an entrance. It is an impactful exit.

No, there is no Queen or indeed King of England. Charles it the King of the United Kingdoms of Great britain and Northern Ireland, as was Queen Elizabeth before him, Queen of the UK, not England.
Except that Tarzan was the white son of two white British parents, so no, let's not try to swap that out, the way Hollyweird and the bbc does with almost everything else.
DARTH VADERS ENTERS TO WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE I SAW THE 3RD SHOWING WHEN I WAS ON HOLIDAYS IN KOGARAH NEW SOUTH WALES WHEN I WAS 11. VOLUME IN THE CINEMA WAS FULL VOLUME WHEN THE STAR DESTROYER FIRST APPEARED
David Bowie. David BOWie. Please... It's really not hard to pronounce his name. Just listen to it once, before using it in your own video. Please. I know you can do this.
You've obviously never seen Blues Brothers. No Marvel nonsense, no dead bodies or body parts. Just pure presence. Nothing can beat the introduction of the Blues Brothers. Well maybe the Godfather. Go home and watch some real movies not this toddler crap
GREAT LIST THANK YOU , but for me Knee Gan KILLED the Walking Dead there where a FEW good story ' s after BUT mostly down hill Barbed Wire Bad WHY WHY WHY , at least you did not put ANY ~ THING from star wars at number One THANK YOU ;
Wonder Woman dropping in and saving Batman was awesome, the music they picked for that scene sucked hard. Actually most of the music they picked was bad.
It's not AI, it's how we, in the UK have been saying David Bowie's name for over 50 years. Yes, I am aware that he has said that it should be 'Bow (and arrow) ee' but he said that decades after he was made it big in 1972, so you're stuck with that one.
