Max great list. I love tobacco it’s my favorite note. You need to check out Alghabra Cuban Tobacco, I’m not kidding you it’s the best tobacco I have smelled. I got a decant of it and I wasn’t impressed but after one month of maceration it is sooooo good. I grabbed a full bottle, it smells exactly like a cigar if you were to cut it open. Check it out, it’s an extrait too. I have been wearing it every day since I got it, it’s insanely good.

Looking forward to this. Tobacco doesn’t really excite me, but it adds a interesting flavor to a scent profile if it’s done right. So maybe this list will have a basic tobacco I can will like can find for a great price
Zaharoff tabac leather is amazing! So much more going on over the regular tabac. And Max! 40 tobacco fragrances without mentioning the king!? Aramis tobacco reserve? C'mon mannnn 😅
Great Video, thank you Max! I was surprised that the Greatest tobacco scent was left out which is Tom Ford Tobacco Oud Intense. Also, Xerjoff Holysm and Franck Boclet are great tobacco scents also.
Since you included discontinued / hard to find scents, one of my favorites is Havana from Aramis. Still one of my favorite scent profiles. Would love for someone to come up with a niche version of this stuff. I vote for boozy scents next.
My all time favorite Tobacco fragrance has to be Tobacco Reserve by the House of Aramis! Sadly, been discontinued and fetching a pretty steep price on EBay! Luckily, I still have a bottle I purchased from my local Marshalls for a low price few years back! It was all over Tj Maxx and Marshalls few years back for a great price! I bought another back up bottle one from my local Marshalls and the other from Tj Maxx! Who knew that this would be discontinued! Anyhow, enjoyed your list as well! Have a blessed rest of the week!
Fort & Manle Late Harvest is a fantastic tobacco fragrance. Definitely in my top 10. Memories flooded back to me of my grandfather smoking a cigar in a farm pickup truck. Better than Maduro IMO.
No Versace Dreamer, no Zara Rich Warm Addictive (I know, the performance sucks, only for the smell, of course!)... And I would have cried if Tom Ford Tobacco Oud wasn't mentioned! 😅 No shit! The best of the best! Great Video, Max. THANKS A MILLION! ❤
Awesome video! You have opened my eyes to new fragrances but also ones that I've been sleeping on. My favourite tobacco parfum is Tobacco Night by Curionoir; leathery and herbaceous. An absolute stunner.
Love your presos where you provide an exhaustive and detailed description of frags with specific notes. Very informative, confirms some of my opinions / likes / dislikes, and I always learn something.
Great list. Fragrances that you left out that I love are Triumph of Bacchus by Argos, Sundowner by Andy Tauer, Creation E by Roja, Plum In Cognac which Fabrice says has a tobacco note in it, Velvet Fire by The Harmonist, Silky Woods by Goldfield & Banks and Tobacco Nuit by Altelier Cologne.
Great video Max. Love tobacco-based fragrances! I agree with your #1, Tobacco Oud by Tom Ford is divine. I realize you can't include everything in your lists, but 2 cheapies that would fit right in are, Havana by Aramis, and, Tobacco Wood Nights by J Del Pozo. And if I may, 3 niche(ish) tobacco scent that very easily could have made your list, if only...Enigma (Creation E) by Roja P, Montecristo by Masque Milano, and, Tobacolor by Dior. Looking forward to receiving the 2023 ScentXplore box. So glad you made it international this year as we are all mad-as-a-cut-snake about fragrances down here in Australia!
Love this list! The only tobacco fragrance you missed and I was absolutely sure it would be on the list is Le Labo Tabac 28. Smells like a cigar in a bottle.
Nice review! I'm love with tobacco note in perfumery. I have in my collection Zino Davidoff, Dolce & Gabanna The One EDP, Bvlgari Man in Black, and Malbec Signature from O Boticário. I will soon have Le Male Elixir by Jean Paul Gaultier. Excellent job Max!
Fantastic! Absolutely LOVE my tobacco fragrances! TF Tobacco Vanille and PDM Herod being my favourite! I am intrigued with the Arabesque! Will have to give this a try sometime! And Zaharoff Tabac Leather!
Ooooh, you actually have Habanos from Royal Crown. I was very surprised to see it get a feature. I'm not a big fan of the scent, I like the house of Royal Crown, but man... that one is super sophisticated. It smells like you spilled a glass of whiskey on a dark tobacco, super mature fragrance even after it dries. Naturals in Royal Crown are truly the best, like #1, for that price point from a niche house that isn't an oud house. Back to Black definitely earned that top 5, one of Kilian's most underrated fragrances. I think it's quite easily wearable. I love your vintage Naxos bottle too haha. Royal Tobacco I was definitely expecting in this video, I had it at #3 for 2022 but there is an argument for #1 as well. The licorice-type opening was very interesting. Some scents that I think were worthy of a feature: the obvious ones would be Herod & Side Effect. The less obvious ones would be Empiryan, and Chicago High. The very out there ones would be Montecristo, and Hamdani. Re: ScentXplore - are the boxes being shipped end of October? Very much looking forward to seeing what you guys put together.

Amazing! Amazing video! I love Tobacco notes. My top two the same as yours, Only difference between them Royal Tobacco is first. Tobacco Oud spectacular perfume, but a little harsh on the opening … Max, one of my recent purchases Little Song by Meo Fusciuni, and I’m so happy to have this … It’s easy gonna be on my third spade, or even second … Strongly recommend to anyone checking out this incredible perfume.
Chopard's entry is such a classy and 'lite tobacco' example of a great frag. CK One Shock and Burberry London have got to be two of the best (very) inexpensive good tobacco frags...love them both. Are you certain that tobacco is a note in PdM Oajan??? It's a banger, but no tobacco. So many iconic frags, great presentation.
Agree on Tobacco Oud, gotta get past the animalic opening and then it’s great. Tobacco perfumes are some of my favorite and this was a great video to hear about some new ones. Looking forward to scentxplore. And I’m voting for boozy fragrances next!
No Baque or Jeke from Slumberhouse in your list! Quite surprising.... Another masterpiece is Tabac Grande by Sultan Pasha... Request you to try these compositions, these are better than many from your top 10 list I believe!
I just tried Roja Manhattan and it as wowed by the tobacco. Overall the scent played off too sweet on my skin but it was intoxicating on my wife. Such a lovely tobacco scent, perfect for east coast autumn/winter months
My faves are Amouage Royal Tobacco, Boundless & Journey Man, Serge Lutens Chergui, Xerjoff Naxos, Kilian Back to Black, Tom Ford Tobacco Oud & Swiss Arabian Nawaf (a great affordable hidden gem).
Love Habanos, in fact after watching your video it was my SOTD, three compliments later in the day 😁 I know its not for everyone, killer list, have you tried L'Orchestre Liquor BPM, amazing! Boozy Tobaco Pear, Tobacco has become my favorite note, still some to try from the list but agree with your No. 1, Tobacco Oud is pure magic!!! Thanks for the list Max!!!

Of course I want to see both Boozy and Leather top 35, great list but I think I would have removed some of those to include The Dreamer, Versace Man and Aramis Tobacco Reserve.
Great video.Your next video is top boozy fragrances. I love the smell of tobacco. My favorite is Red Tobacco. I absolutely love and admire that fragrance. When I wear this fragrance, I'm the Man. I don't need anyone to compliment me. I know without a shadow of a doubt I smell great. Man-made sweet tobacco is a standout to me. Kutay is very boozy, sweet caramel, and tobacco. I really love to smell this on me as my day goes on. Tobacco blaze is another fragrance that's long-lasting and beastmode. I really love getting whiffs of the tobacco smell throughout the day. Your side captions awesome. Once again, thanks for this video.
That's very nice that you put the year of the fragrance on the screen because these days fragrances are very disappointing and predominantly reformulated in the bad way. And putting the year makes sense and brings clarity to your choice!
