Could you maybe do a video on the best suburbs for budgeters? Per statistics these neighborhoods are great, but obviously most people can't afford these. I'd love to see neighborhoods like Affton, Webster, Edwardsville, and Belleville be represented!
And I must say that I really admire your presentations, they are very good particularly you the most possible amount of information in the limited time you have and you actually do not waste any time and you do not make the viewer tired, you are really good in what you are doing.
Enjoyed you so much.i went to beautiful st.louis with my parents in 1951.my father was buying a piece of dental equipment .to learn how to use it he went to washington university.we stayed at the chaise hotel in forest park.during the day my mother and i went downtown and she said people would stop us,and ask where we were from i think because we were from georgia and had southern accents.people were so friendly.we went in stix baer and fuller and famous bar.and had lunch in one .we walked around.went to the jewel box.we loved the city and people.ive always wanted to return.the arch hadnt been built.like to see it and more.always remember being an eleven year old boy walking around st louis with his beautiful mother.im now an 81 year old man.

To those looking to buy, ifKirkwood is something you are considering I would recommend also taking a look at Sunset Hills and Crestwood. Definitely a little more laid back and refined. Additionally they are in the Lindbergh school district.
What about doing this based on zip codes? For example, Kirkwood, 63122, also includes Glendale, Warson Woods, and Oakland. This may help include more areas that are close together and include other cities of same caliber.

Yea, Ladue is nice. You like Clayton, that's good. Please be sure to tell everyone about Kirkwood's slum Meacham Park. Keep trying to sell the over priced real estate in the St. Louis area. Don't you have any property to unload in Wild Wood or DesPeres?
I need a list of "Next best places". My total budget (including moving costs [coming from California], home price, upgrades, repairs, closing costs, and any taxes) is barely $140k. So I'm not looking for "best", just "no bars needed on every window" type neighborhoods.
Depending on where in STL you want to be, you might want to look into South county and St. Charles county -- you can find a lot of options in both that might fit what you're looking for. STL city too, but it'll depend on the area you're in about the bars...
Dallas/ Ft. Worth might be a good option in that price range. Anything further South is good at that range too. $140k isn't much for the rest of the country anymore. All I can get for $220k in CO Springs is a 500 sq foot box w/ $300 HOA dues.
Yes! That's a common layout of many brick duplexes in St. Louis where there are 2 front doors: one opens to the first level unit and one opens to a set of stairs leading to the 2nd floor unit.
yeah these are all rich people areas lol. if people are looking for more affordable areas that can be bridgeton, hazelwood, maryland heights, o'fallon, st. peters. the farther east you go the closer you get to the city and id stay away from those areas.
Please know this. There are more areas to live better than what this guy is telling you. He is all about the west side there are great areas in South County along with Jefferson County. Do not listen to one person who is in real estate in the areas he is selling..Bias anyone..
Yes there are a ton of other great areas around STL that people should definitely check out! St. Charles county is another great place you did not mention in the above

Lol you don't move to St Louis county you move to St Charles county preferably O'Fallon or wentzville you're 35 minutes outside of downtown St Louis you can buy a 3800 square foot home that's fairly new construction if not new for just under $300,000 or you can move to a place like ladue or Kirkwood in St Louis county and a home that size will cost you 6 or 700,000 and it'll be 50 years old
Yes but living in those areas you are close to everything. I live on Glendale/ Rock Hill border and can get to 40, 44, very quickly. My friends, who live out in O'Fallon, would rent a hotel room sometimes if need to be downtown early in the morning for something like a 5K. They also may rent a room if going to be a late night. From my house is 15 to 20 minutes downtown. Your 35 minutes is with no traffic or accidents. St Charles is not an easy place to get around if there is one especially if close to one of the bridges. The reason why St Louis County costs more is due to better location. Plus newer construction doesn't always mean better.
Great video the only part I disagree with is the Clayton part if the county jail wasn't in Clayton I would agree but they release what 20-30 people an hour right into Clayton streets I'm a little surprised Webster Groves didn't make the list
Totally makes sense about Clayton. Webster is great too! honestly, it’s tough to pick just 4 so I just tried to go with parts of town that have really different lifestyles from one another
