I've always been a basketball fan, this just blew my mind. The strength and skill showed here is nothing less even without any physical contact with your opponents.
I know that some people here hate and call weaboos, the fans of the Anime Haikyuu!! Personally, before watching the anime, I used to hate volleyball. I have played it before in the high school and I was the most noob player ( I am still noob) . Now thanks to watch haikyuu!! I love volleyball. So, what's wrong here? Is wrong that people comes here and say I love volleyball thanks to Haikyuu? Is that an great offense? If yu love/play volleyball and yu haven't watched the anime, EVERYTHING IS ALL RIGHT! But a bit of respect for the people that have watched the anime and now they love the sport.
Its just that some people said something like ''isnt that kageyama'' ''ushiwaka is better 100%'' ''kagehina will top this list for sure''. People just ignored all of their hardwork and say something '' is better'' . They just HAVE to compare an anime character to an actual sportsman . Dont take me wrong i absolutely love haikyuu but pls show appreciation and respect to all these players and their hardwork.(it gets annoying forreal)
I came here bc of haikyuu and there is nothing wrong being curious about sport since show made realize how cool really is volley ball bc of the anime i learn how intense is the game and tbh i am actually happy that i happen to watch Haikyuu .
This reminds me of a guy on another volleball video who went like “i always wished volleyball was more mainstream, but what has the volleyball community come to? The only reason people play it is cuz of a fucking anime” I’ve never been more mad in my life
hell no, cause sport is more than an anime, u dont know what volleyball is, u never fell it, hours of hard training, all my friends saying u sport is for girl, throw a ball to the other side of the net thats stupid, now everyone wants to play thanks to haykiuu and i say no, cause that anime have everything except credibilyti hinata would never be a MB in real Life or any spike position cause he is to short and no matter how jump u can high 2mts men will dump u in the floor. yes of course is good to show to kids and became sport fans but is nothing more, Volleyball is Volleyball, Haykyuu is fantasy, it takes years to create a winner team, not months like they show in the series
That last one doh......😳 Micah christenson is the best setter in the world and to think he never played that position in high school. Shows his high IQ in the sport.
0:46 I had to watch that in slow motion that decoy is SO amazing like I suck at volleyball so I have no idea how they know when to do a decoy it just looks so badass
Like oya oya said, it's allowed as long as you don't step into the other team's court. In addition, the ball you hit/set back to your teammate has to come back from outside of the antenna I think.
You both are right, not-to-stepping into the other teams court and coming back the ball outside the antenna is needed to make the movement allowed. Then the other teams players must you to allow to play - they cannot defend you to play if it is possible to continue.
d1noang3lo the one after that isn't a crossing violation...it only is if you are on the actual court so as long as you bring the ball back to your side when doing that then it is legal
Ive been seeing this fake attack then set to another hitter becoming really popular in the international games. Has this officially been given a term/name yet?
I loved the game so much I played 4 years of varsity HS volleyball. Won 3 city titles, 2 of 3 regional titles for the right to play in the provincial championships. Pretty sure I still hold the record for most consitive service aces. By the time I was done it was 18-0. I had this jump knuckle serve which I threw in the air with 0 rotation and killed it.
I don’t think you understand how difficult it is to do a quick that fast in real life, coupled with how outrageously impossible it is to do it as liberally as they do it, not to mention that the one spiking is only 5’4” and has an alleged 50+” vertical. It’s demonstrably unrealistic
tbh i like haikyuu but i also play volleyball on my school's team and it really pisses me off when people associate haikyuu with real volleyball (sorry ik this thread is old)
