The Reverse Turbo Boost was simply inspired! Now *THIS* is *KNIGHT RIDER* !!! Hoff and KITT, together as ordained!

Since discovering Knight Rider Historians, I've been looking at the series with different eyes. There's always something to discover about K.I.T.T. in every scene.

I remember my mom always saying about Turbo-Boost: "Do you have any idea how hard they would land, if that were real??" LOL She also used to say when KITT went 127-200 MPH....she's like "We can see the car, you wouldn't even see a blur!" LOL Mom could be quite the killjoy.

3:40 - I am willing to believe, that Hasselhoff himself did that braking maneuvre. The hair shape is perfectly his. Even if that wasn't him, he certainly had enough skill to do it.

Numb 18 is my most favourite turbo boost of all time. The confidence on Michael with the turbo boost was an oscar performance.

That car sure does look good flying through the air. TV shows used to provide major stunts on a regular basis until the car chase era ended in 1986. Glad they built the flivver car also to wreck less Trans Ams and provide us with more turbo boosts

The sound of the turbo boost gives chills

I appreciate how Turbo Boost went from a simple burst of speed, to the ability to elevate without any ramp, to the ability to jump from a dead stop.

The Turbo Boost brakes and Turbo Boost Suspension were amazing!

Funny thing, after rewatching that Robot Chicken sketch that was a fast and furious parody in wich a lot of cars of the pop culture race, KITT is between them, and Michael says 'better use turbo boost" KITT replies "but Michael, I can only use my turbo boost one time per episode", I tried to number the times that KITT use turbo boost per episode. At least he used three times once but I don't remember if there's more.

My favourite is still the turbo boost over the semi in the pilot episode.

I definitely agree with number 1 being number 1. All the different angles, even the interior shot from the corner shop. And over moving traffic.

Man Oh Man. KIIT did 40 times Turbo Boost. Impressive KIIT. Honestly #23 cannot be considered as Turbo Boost as it was not attempted. Turbo Boost #18 was Too Much Funny and Hillarious. And may I ask why Season 2 Episode 13 titled "A Knight in Shinning Armour" when Turbo Boost was attempted through inside an empty moving train carriage and also Season 2 Episode 24 titled "Big Iron" where KIIT gets buried under piles of sand and through Turbo Boost both KIIT and Micheal Knight jump out and thus are saved. Why these Two Turbo Boost are not included?

Number 9 is the best acting I have ever seen. Ever. He looks terrified.

There’s one that should have been there, one I remember so well. It was in the episode “A Good Knight’s Work”. Was a very personal episode because it was the episode where Tanya Walker’s lover Cameron Zachary finds out Michael Knight is Michael Long and he wants revenge for Tanya’s death. The turbo boost at the end has KITT going from one building to another into an apartment….and getting stuck up there 😂 but what a sight it was!

This was awesome, I'm actually buzzing from watching this. What a fantastic compilation. I feel like a kid again. Thank you, thank you, thank you. OMG. your number 1 is my all-time favourite turbo boost.

3:56 The Trans-Am in that turbo boost just scraped the van as it returned to ground! Incredibly the van doesn't flinch! The stunt driver almost got injured. Incredible though He managed to get up to speed in a relatively short distance.

Ok Pal Let’s do it, Turbo boost is one of the main defining qualities of Kitt and KnightRider. Although some of the huge leaps do seem ridiculous.

Man, you can tell the vast majority of those jumps ended REALLY badly for the car, and it was pretty rare that they actually showed the landing and didn't cut away. My favorite definitely has to be the jump over the Dodge Charger though.

A Where does my favorite stay? When Michael becomes amnesiac, KITT chases him and jumps over the earth workers. The best!

This is where every Fast and Furious movie after number 3 got their inspiration 😊

I seem to remember as a young child there was one where KITT went into a tunnel and the other end of the tunnel collapsed or was blown up, then KITT turbo boosted up through the ceiling of the tunnel and out of the hill abov?

Google says they only used 23 Trans Ams to make the show and only one was rendered permanently inoperable, compared to Dukes of Hazzard destroying a rumored 300+ Chargers. Makes me wonder whether the Trans Am's durability was just that good, or if the stunt team was just better at their job.

Knight Rider premiered on NBC September 26,1982. That means that it's not 40 years but 42 years ago.

Just now realized the turbo boost sound effect is the same one that launches the Colonial Vipers in the other Glen Larson production, the OG Battlestar Galactica.

Great stunt work with the VW jump car in some of these boosts. Also, notice the leather jacket hanging onto the car in some of these jumps.

You know the clip at 6:20 with the canyon is about the only time I have seen a zoomed out view showing KITT's voice synthesizer in the dash, I always thought it was in the console until you pointed it out in one of your other videos. Also in that clip KITT's voice synthesizer looks different, was there a reason? I also wonder if that orange Charger is the same one they used in that controversial commercial.

Some of those jumps where done by the dune buggy Flivver vehicle.

How perfect can all the jump landings be, since it's a tv series. In reality if any vehicle jumps off a ramp and its occupants are not properly secured to the car's seat they'll fly out of the car or get impaled from the car's dashboard. Now I wonder where Vin Diesel got his Hollywood scenes with all the Fast and furious movies where he jumps cars from buildings, cliffs, street crashing and walk off the scene with no broken bones.... It's a movie or tv series cars so I'm just enjoying the impossible outcomes of each scenes.. Only thing that came out of Knight rider is, Apple got the 2.way communication watch. Tesla got the autonomous self driving and parking cars. Cars now have massive tablet like screens gps and real time cameras.which now I'm wondering if car manufacturers are going to make their cars start talking with their own personality... no chimes or beep warnings... the future has this promising feature....
