I am amazed to see two spring guns selected as the top 2 picks. Not complaining. The TX200 is a superb rifle (although I have a soft spot for its main competition; Weihrauch HW-97K) and I've watched it win several Field Target competitions. That said, I have the S510 Ultimate Sporter with the Minelli stock and aside from being just about the most beautiful rifle ever, it is an absolute tack driver and a smooth as silk. Actually sold an FX Crown to but the S510 and have never regretted it for a second. 5 really excellent rifles on that wall and every one more than worth the price.
I can attest to the TX-200. Still my favorite after years of shooting. So accurate it would be boring to shoot if it weren't for the silky smooth and refined firing cycle, and concert of satisfying sounds it makes when cocking. It exudes fine quality in every respect. Truly the Rolls Royce of Air Rifles!
I have two Air Arms S510XS. My .22 caliber is in the laminate stock, and my .177 caliber for field target is in the walnut stock. I have the TX 200 MK III in .177 caliber for field target. Love shooting all three of them.
Beautiful guns I will just never understand why every manufacturer doesn't make each gun for left or right handers they cut a lot of their sales market off the chart. On the woodstocks all they would have to do is round over the top of the stock a little nicer or just make it match exactly what the left side does just makes no sense
I have 3 of these in my collection.., HFT500 (my comp rifle), Pro Sport (my “Goto” springer) and the TX200 in HC form (my other half’s springer). Absolutely love them. Also in the collection, and should be considered for this list, S400 Superlite and a Galahad. Yes I like my Air Arms.😎
i almost purchased an air rifle from this company until I read some of the customer reviews about how well they handle customer issues on defective merchandise-just syaing
had a bunch of springers incl tx200 and hws. Like the HW97K thumbhole synthetic the best. Frankly HW does not make a single model which is not great. Break barrel favorite after 4 decades is the HW35. Airarms makes fantastic airrifles too and the tx200 is certainly one !
Has there ever been an air-shotgun? Follow up, has there ever been an air over-under where its a tiny shotgun on the bottom barrel and a 22 on top barrel?
I really don't like raining on a parade, but perhaps you could also list the suggested retail of each of these, and then, offer a suggestion on how the 'AVERAGE' backyard, or field shooter/plinker is going to afford one of these. I have had an air rifle of some sort in my house since I was 12 years old (57 years), and can't imagine justifying owning something like this for casual use. These are a rich man's choices! Guess it's going to have to stay Daisy, Beeman, Benjamin or Crosman for me.
I've owned airguns for years and I have retained a tuned Beeman R-7 in .177 for back yard critters and a DayState Regal in .22. My only problem with airguns is that they are heavy and the DayState weighs as much as an African hunting rifle. I had an R-9 in .20 that I gave to a brother and that thing weighs around 8 lbs. The sad thing is that no one offers aftermarket lightweight stocks for these guns.
I removed 1.7 important pounds from my .22 Aspen that was at 10. something pounds with scope and a little flashlight. It took going to extremes, but an once 16 times is a pound.
lesson one of selling anything to men successfully, get a good looking woman that will appeal to all ages to act like she knows what she is talking about even if she has to read it off a bunch of card's next to the camera you could sell us practically anything and we'll justify the expense and need for buying it, yes we are that shallow and predictable and the fact she said my tx200 is the best just makes her even more perfect. Air Arms I've been a long time fan of your products and now I salute your sales and marketing genius. British made win's again lol
I would love to have a Pro Sport, but I am left-handed, and a decent stock would double the price of the gun. I get that lefties are a minority, and they can't set up economically for a different stock option, but why do they have to make it so completely rightie? Us lefties are left with a cheek rest like a knife blade! C'mon guys, make it at least ambi.......
Same here ? Kind of a deal breaker for me . An ambidextrous stock would seal the deal . TX 200 has an option of right or left why not make it that way for the PRO -SPORT to ? Or an ambidextrous stock .
Shooters should use their dominant eye for determining the shoulder to set the stock against. I'm left handed but right eye dominant, so shoot from right shoulder. If I used my left eye, surely I'd make any changes needed or wanted so a gun would be fine for left eye aiming. Make a custom stock of wood or plastic, etc.
@@senatorjosephmccarthy2720 As I said, that would involve either skills I do not possess, or costs that would render the gun uneconomical, and further out of my reach than it already is.
I know im sure lovin my TX 200 and many people have commented on it's beautiful looks. I've just subscribed to your channel but I have to say if they are all going to have that heavy bass sound in the background then I will be unsubscribing . I was watching this in my living room and my wife said she could hear the heavy bass all the way in the kitchen, thing is the volume was not turned up at all, same level as for watching the evening news. Bass travels far and when a person is talking in the video then said person gets drowned out by the bass. I want to hear what she has to say not a overly loud bass line . Pyramid air likes to keep switching camera views for no reason and Airgun depot seems to like heavy bass in the background. If your content is good then you dont need gimmicks in the video to keep peoples attention, in fact some of these gimmicks turn the viewers away. Great video otherwise.
@@shawns2820 1) dry-fire your gun. 2) go out hunting during rainy days. If your airarms pcp airgun can withstands the above 2 points, air-arms will be most reliable airgun in the world. I would recommend airgun manufacturing companies to developed airgun with the: 1)Highest Shots count. (500+ shot count per fill.) 2) Higher velocities (1400+ fps) 3)Affordable price 4) must be Durable (which can last upto 15 years without wear and tear)and feasibly light weights.(easy to carry not more than 3 kilos(not more than 6 pounds)
@@removeafspainindia6309 1) Dry firing your gun is tantamount to abuse, certainly counts as misuse. Hardly surprising that guns malfunction if you habitually do that. 2) Your ideal specs sound really good, but you write like it is an easy job to match them. Any manufacturer would be elated to produce a rifle like that, and would certainly do it if they could. They're not just holding back to annoy us/you, they're making the best rifles they can.
@@christopherdean1326 1) In the world of technology, dry fire cannot be count as abuse or misuse of airgun, if you want to compare dry fire airgun with non-dry fire... Buy indian made PCP PX 100 Achellies. 2) rather it should be an eye opener for airgun developer's/manufacturer's to developed such airgun that can boosters...... 1) unlimited shot count(1000+ shot count) per fill. 2) maximum velocity up to 2000 fps. 3) Durable and affordable prices.
@@removeafspainindia6309 Dry firing a spring airgun is an awful thing to do. On a pre-charged/pneumatic it may be permissible, but still not good practice. Again, your "ideal" specs sound fantastic, but not realistic.
