One thing I hate with Android 10 is when swiping home in landscape it shows the home screen in landscape for a second then rotates. Looks very unpolished. Hope they fixed that
@@fourdoormafia yes That's so unpolished My nokia 7 plus does that too even pixel Phones does that. Only OnePlus and maybe samsung does that animation without rotation. I wanted it to be like ios smooth transition but we'll see if it improves in android 11
Is it just me, or did stock Android look so much better under Marshmallow? I actually returned my Pixel 4a because I hadn’t used Android in a while, and didn’t realize they made it so bland and blue when I wasn’t paying attention. The green material design look with the dark notification shade was fantastic. This version made me stick with my iPhone 8 plus out of disgust.
@Loli Protector I'm saying that pure Android used to be a lot better, and now it's kind of garbage. I'm not sure how that transition happened. Of course it's my preference. What I'm doing here is expressing my preference and checking if others share it.
All I have to say about Google listening in... Make it hard for them to decide if it’s uncomfortable, or strangely interesting! Leave them feeling conflicted! Bwahahahahahahahaaaaaaa.....

Speaking of accessibility, one feature I don't think a lot of people are aware of, is that you can set audio output to mono. This is useful if you like to listen to music with only one earbud in or with your headphones only covering one ear because you still get to hear all the channels and the full range of tones.
Yeah this is something a lot of people forget when they say that Samsungs softwaresupport is underaverage. Usually new Android features have been intergrated in the Samsung software a year before. Sure would be nice though to just get 4 years of Android updates.
Not on a pixel, trust me because anytime I tried to mirror it it would always go back when you would go to the home screen if you had your phone turned regardless
2:27 It would be great if this screenshot feature existed here on all phones. For some the screenshot option had essentially been deleted. This has far more importance than all of the other updates combined.
1:30 My main use case for auto rotate of the ui would be, watching stuff on youtube in landscape mode and then jumping home to launch a landscape game. That gap in the middle where the entire ui is in portrait always sucked.
Voice access would be my favorite. Since I'm legally blind it makes phone easy too navigate and control. I use the voice control feature on my iPad. They work the same as you know.
Could you imagine a kid today waiting for the zero to come all the way around? Back in the day, if you had more than one zero in your number, I wouldn't call you unless it was an emergency
This comment thread makes me pissed talking about something as simple as the way someone talks should not be related to the color of someone’s skin smh.
The subtle changes are what make me love this update so much. Been running the beta since beta 2 was sent out, and I love it. Excited to run a fully polished release.
@@GeraltOfTheRivia The only thing they screwed up is ultrasonic fingerprint unlock. On my s10 its really bad, but there is an update Im getting any minute to fix this
weve reached a point in Android where it doesnt seem like there's a lot of "improvements", just google changing a bunch of random crap around to give you the illusion that its new like how the power button menu is now a whole blank screen rather than just a popup thing on the side, google thinks people are gonna look at that and be like "FINALLY AFTER ALL THESE YEARS I GOT A POWER SCREEN INSTEAD OF A POWER POPUP"
Some of the changers are needed and some are not but I wish they would focus more on the problems with Android that make iOS btr so it can be called less buggy and incomplete.
Android will never be less buggy or as complete as iOS in my opinion. The reason is very simple - one is an OS for 3-4 devices, the other one is for maybe 500 different each year. It's just not possible. I've come to peace with this and I believe it makes my experience with Android devices much more pleasant when I have managed my expectations
Im using a huawei with android 8. The first feature (auto rotation on the HOMEscreen) was already available since android 8, but still a great vid mate! :)
We need DOUBLE TAP TO WAKE back! I use my flashlight in dark areas all the time (attics/basements) and every time I regrip my phone, my finger touches the screen, turning it on and blinding me. There are so many scenarios where I really miss the double tap on Pixle 2.
Ive been with mkbhd since the earlier days (the nokia era) and, still here and will be here in the future until youtube exists nevertheless. The best youtube channel so far for tech videos.
Yes, Samsung has that media player in the notifications for quite a while, and many other features Samsung used to develop in it's skins that people didn't like them maybe, but Google used them in their next Android versions. Plus I don't why people like the Google phones launchers, to me it is very simple, kinda like the iPhone's have.
Most "New" android features have been on Samsung phones like 1-2 years before Google releases those as new features. Buy one of those over prized phones and get those features.
There are tons of good cheap phones you can get. I got a Motorola g7 64gb phone for about $150 from Amazon and I saw one just now selling for $160. If you want to pay the extra 40 there's a $200 moto g7 plus. If you do get a new phone don't worry about the storage cause you can just get an SD card.
I'm so pissed off they removed the feature where the album art would take up your whole lock screen when using spotify. Does anyone know if there is a way to change this back in settings?
Samsung: suggested apps on app switcher Android 11: let's put that on the home screen. Samsung: media playback devices Android 11: how have we not done this yet?
Yep, has been there for a while, I remember even using that on my nexus 5 in Android Lollipop or Marshmallow. They might have removed it when they jumped from nexus to Pixel, but the launcher is basically the same.
1:22 Samsung Phones can already do that Just make sure that this Feature is turned on in Home Screen settings (P.S. If you now open the Discord app; you can rotate your phone 180° Degrees (UpsideDown); and when you go back to your homescreen it will remain that way, even if you open other vertical apps) You can now use your phone upside-down.
I find it odd that this only happens in Discord, as far as I can tell. Wonder if any other apps allow 180° rotation. Kinda wish you could do it anywhere; it's handy for when the phone's plugged in and you don't want the plug jutting out the bottom while using it.
That fancy screen on and off animation of the always on display has been there since the android 10 update on my MI A3. (Just wanted to share this info) Love your work bruh!
Following cause I saw this too. Messages say "alphabet castle door" and Email also says "the muffin's"at some point through the video and to say in deeply invested is an understatement
