See if I had 30,000+ to spend on a desktop 5 axis I might as well go buy an industrial one as at letthen it'd be made of decent quality materials and sturdy enough for everything. It's silly how something like that can be so expensive
Agreed. Also if you are serious enough to pay that amount of money, a 5 in 1 solution can only be a jack of all trades; like seriously what application could use the limited the desktop build volume for a water jet and foam cutter head

What is needed is a 5-Axis machine that can do precision grinding with hard grinding tools, Cratex, and buffing compounds, with precision positioning feedback and applied force feedback control! This would want to incorporate automatic tool measurement and preparation. F While in wishing mode: a Modular DIY, Scalable, create on demand system. I can guess the software for such a system would be really complex, But this might be the place to take advantage AI tech with Heavy Human input! The way that I think of AI is AI is the result of Human thinking and creation, AI does not just come into existence by it self, AI is created and Guided By Humans at every Step. And there is Feedback, Human to AI and AI to Human!
I like the video content, but please buy a decent microphone, is sucks and could be very annoying. Otherwise, run an audio filtering with Audacity before mix the audio comments in to the video, it is free !!

its obviously for self prototyping and iterating though designs in softer materials before going to someone with a Haas or something and getting it made for real. Iterating through designs with the help of the Haas owner from the beginning will be significantly more expensive than getting one of these lower cost machines... If you want to mill steel the machine is going to need to be made fully out of steel. Good luck putting that on your desktop... Lol... but besides, even hobby and low cost entry industrial aluminium 3/4 axis cnc machines can't mill steel.
