I recommend slacking off when you are just really tired. For emergencies. I wrote 5, 3 page essays in a day and it was tiring so, I slept earlier and woke up earlier to finish the assignment. School is hard sometimes. It’s okay.

Okay so I've been doing my homework the day it gets assigned and it's been a lot more easy to keep up and I've been taking less naps after school which makes falling asleep before 11 way easier

I made the first mistake already this year and last year, I didn't even have a schedule, like, at all. I left most of my homework to the last minute and I live in England so we don't have school events like pep rallies. All of our "school events" were compulsory.

Mistake; Thinking stress was a bad thing, it’s not. It’s actually your body preparing you for your challenge, even though you MAY want to vomit. This is coping you for if something similar happens like the stressor again, you will be prepared and know how to get through it multiple times again. :)

a mistake i made last quarter was falling into a deep depression that i was unaware/ failed to acknowledge i was going through. i avoided all homework and extra curric. as a senior in college, i urge the younger students to seek help if you feel or recognize you are not your usual self. typically, your tuition covers some or almost all psychological therapy sessions. your mental health matters ❤️

I started college last week and something I QUICKLY realized is that you really need to be on top of all of your assignments! I second avoiding getting complacent about your assignments but would also like to add that you should avoid becoming the student who uses their planner for one week and then stops using it the rest of the year. It's so easy to forget what assignments are due when you have so many classes!

so when i was in primary school we had buddies (prep friends) and i felt like i’d never bond with my buddy and anxious a lot (also from other things) and then i realized how cute and nice my buddy was, but she hated hugs so much. so after i tried going to places i finally found myself properly and now im doing really well in school.

mistakes I made last year were falling way behind, not participating in school events (or trying to, I guess we were technically forced) and not asking for help as often as I should've.

Some mistakes that I made were that I burned out super quickly. I tried doing everything right when I got the assignment so I could be my most productive self. It worked the first two trimesters but after that my grades started going down as well as my mental health was deteriorating. I am a lot better now and ready to be my productive self once more!

Last year I made the mistake of overloading my schedule. I needed the cash, and so almost doubled my hours at work. This left behind very little time after school and on weekends to actually get things done, and I found myself choosing between self-care and relaxation, and school work. I prioritised school, and burnt out completely, meaning I was slacking for a good couple weeks. This made me fall behind on notes, homework, and assignments, and the last few months of the school year were spent in a constant stress to get everything finished before the final deadline. Lets just say that I plan on reducing my work hours next year and really scheduling in those couple of hours before bed each night to relax and de-stress. The idea is that, if its o the calendar, I'll do it. Lets hope that it works.

Number 3 is sososo important! Last year, I took physics honors and I was very quiet about not understanding the materials, but I never walked up to my teacher to ask her questions. My grades were not good in the class because I didn't answer questions on assignments I didn't understand. Eventually, I started asking questions. Mind you, my grades improved (but not much because I am still lazy). I understood what I was doing a lot more and my teacher understood that I was actually trying (cough unlike the group of students in the back that NEVER did their work, sorry but calling you out) and was much more willing to allow me to have more time to finish assignments. To sum it up, ASK QUESTIONS!

I'm always sweating whenever I need to ask for help from my teacher 😭😭

I mad a huge mistake by not copying my notes, now I have an entire 80 page notebook of various notes to copy in my my multiple notebooks (one per subject) Now I’m in a huge mess and I have something like 20 tests in the upcoming 6 weeks and I haven’t done anything! a mistake i've made is being involved with drama. so my advice is: don't be involved with problematic people. if you know somebody is going to cause some problems, leave ASAP because if once you leave it for too long it gets worse. the stress builds up upon school work, you will fall behind. so keep a small group of friends that you trust and keep them for the rest of your school years. avoid people who can cause u stress.

my mistake was not leaving enough room to breathe. i overloaded myself with marching band, school, studying, and working nearly everyday i was off for band. it was definitely possible, but unless you absolutely need to, don't do what i did. this year is my senior year and i just quit my job so i could have more room to breathe this year
