Really? Then why hasn't he appeared in a Spidey comic? You think one of the biggest Spider rogues would return in a Spider comic, so why a random cameo inns random comic?
"Since RU-vid wasn't around in the 1960s, he became a super-villain instead." Definitely my most favorite thing you said about Electro in this video you've done! XD
@@mr.rogues4145 Really? I'd say she was among my top favourite Superman villains, along with Bizarro, Toyman, Cyborg Superman and Composite Superman, not in that order.
That is the point of her character. She is a bloody bitch and loves every minute of it. Not every rogue should be sympathetic. It is nice to have villains who are completely horrible but still fun to watch.
Not surprise max is in first place. He started out as a very generic super-villain, but subsequent stories have made him more complex and sympathetic. I say he is my third or second favourite Spider-man villain. Lighting lord and Zzzax are two great overlooked rogues with loads of potential. I hope future writers used them in more stories.
I'm a fan of livewire to, she's pretty interesting. Good list Mr. Rogues, and I like your honesty when it comes to being a RU-vidr. I guess that's why I created my now defunct channel, to not be a nobody. The thing is, we are all somebody, just not always seen. I guess Electro didn't learn that did he?
Once again, all five of these guys would be among my choices, too, and I think they'd be in this order...though I might switch out Supercharger and Zzzax. Watt can I say? I get quite a charge out of big electric monsters; they do make for some shockingly good stories. ...These jokes are way too easy; I just noticed pretty much everyone in the comments is making horrible electric puns. I should have been here lightning fast; then I could have made a bigger impact! As it stands, it looks like others stole my thunder. :P
I've been waiting for this video, and it turns out it showed up 4 days ago. Oh well, I can't wait to see the list. Edit: 5) I expected Electrocutioner, however I was never truly well versed in his history. I like the idea of him being another Vigilante than a Mercenary, specifically to the conflict he would have with Batman. I was really disappointed in his debut in Arkham Origins because he looked so cool (and that was my first introduction of him). 4) I was not expecting a Hulk Villain. Zzzax is one of those obscure Hulk Villains whose character was big during the Original Hulk runs. Nonetheless, I always found him interesting but never knew his origin till now. Fun Fact: In the Ang Lee Hulk movie, Zzzax was briefly referenced with the Main Antagonist has he had the ability to absorb most elements, also referencing Absorbing Man. 3) I've never heard of this guy but man I would love to read his comic run. I'm all for Martial Arts Movies, so Martial Arts Comics would be much of my alley. I like the idea that, in a sense, Shockwave has a Doom complex when it comes to his scar and how he tries to find his way into the world after his incident. It's almost hard to see him as a Villain and more of just an antagonist. 2) I've never knew Lightning Lad has an older brother, let alone a sister. My only familiarity with the Legion of Superheroes was the cartoon series that aired on WB Kids, so I never knew a lot of the history of the Legion in general. I always hear good things about the comics, so I must check them out. 1) I way not expecting Electro due to you using more obscure characters than anyone I've ever known. Nonetheless, I'm happy with the choice as Electro was my first introduction to Electric Themed characters, let alone Villains. He's such a compelling and tragic character whatever media he's ever been in. I greatly loved him in Spectacular Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (so much potential for that film, it's unbelievable).
Something like what you mentioned has happened with Zzzax.... sort of. Long time Hulk foe General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" (yeah, I know) Ross once arranged to have his consciousness transferred into Zzzax's body so that he could battle the Hulk. It ended badly. Which probably explains Ross' reaction to meeting him again at 3:52 (Red Hulk is Ross. It's a long story.)
There's something so poetic about electricity. Similar to fire, it's pure energy. However, it's not solid, liquid or gas, which makes it stand out. It's only there for a moment.... and then it's gone. I hope that if that the next person who makes an electric villain ties it with the poetic nature of electricity.
My favorite electric villain is one you never mentioned. Superman's sassy shocker, Livewire. I just love Livewire a lot. I also love characters with electrical powers. That is a power I would love to have. I could charge my phone with my finger, and do a lot of other cool things with electrical appliances. The reason why I love Livewire is what she does with her powers. She doesn't use them to conquer the world. She uses her powers to goof off. That's what I would do. Like you said "Who cares about silly world domination, that's a bunch of responsibility".
Mr. Rogues give her a second chance, read her comics. We love her, find out why. Could make a great vid. A case study on an as some might put it “an Alex Jones” kind of character.
Nice to know others still remember Shockwave. It might be interesting to see him join Spider-Man's Rogues Gallery and team up with Electro and the Shocker. It'd be a real jolt seeing them together. (😔...yes i know that joke was re-volt-ing, just trying to stay current with all the others. gonna stop now before I start some static...😫)
No Megavolt? Awwww... Speaking of animated electric villains, the animated Spider-Man series of the 1990s made the odd decision to make Electro a Russian official who was actually the son of the Red Skull and gained powers from a long-lost "super-soldier" experiment. These weird decisions had something to do with Marvel Comics having a robot villain named Electro during the 1950s. Okay...
Awesome List! My favorite Electric-Themed Character is also Electro. After all, I made my first RU-vid video about him. 616 is better than the Ulimate version though. I just wanted to do something unique with my channel.
How about the top 5 villains who are all about being smarter then the people around them, like Riddler and Tinkerer, or top 5 best non-super powered villains without hightech or power suits, like King Pin and Rupert Thorn.
Yes, just like you, I created my account on DA 8 years ago because I was a nobody in the real world. Hell, I've got friends in there more than schools.
I don't know if you've heard of Spiderman The new animated series, but they had probably the best Electro in film/TV, you should check it out, I think you'd like him
@Mr.Rogues: So when should we be on the lookout for that poll that you're supposed to be doing for your next supervillain themed list? Great video btw!
Actually, Electrocutioner did have at least one storyline where he decided that vigilantism was for saps, and joined up with the Cluemaster to pull off a crime. I'm not sure how long that lasted, but it does make him at least a LITTLE more of a standard rogue. And man oh man, do I wish Marvel would just bite the bullet and pony up the cash for the rights to Fu Manchu again, because Shang-Chi REALLY needs to be collected one of these days. I've only read a few scattered issues, but they've all been good - and let's face it, FC is one of the most iconic pulp villains ever; him being able to fight Spidey and SHIELD and whatnot was awesome, and would be again. Yeah, I know, they're all super-PC right now, and ol' Fu has that 'yellow peril' stigma to him, so it's probably not going to happen any time soon, if at all - but I wish it would, dang it!
The original Tim Drake 'Robin' comic - his opening six-issue arc, I think, or one of them. Anyway, it's collected in 'Robin: Flying Solo', if you want to check it out. @@user-du2iu8zz7k
Live wire was a good villain Electro is a popular one Zaxx is a villain I wish we saw in the MCU but I think Universal owns him since he is a Hulk Villain
Also, Electro could be an Magneto level villain with his powers, able to stand on equal footing against the X-Men and Avengers all by himself... If he had more combat sense, ambition, etc. He was Titan before Megamind ever existed! (Except Electro IS actually smart, he just lacks confidence, ambition, etc).
Mr. Rogues I think you’re judging her by her cover. Comics have many interpretations of any character. There’s one where she reforms, joins the justice league, plus more that I lack the knowledge of. I respect your opinion, just trying to show you why others might like her. 😅
I really don’t like electro’s blue redesign for as long as it lasted. Now Electro’s a girl and shares a name with a daredevil anti-hero. Then sandman goes on about how everyone despised him. He deactivated the entire RAFT prison, and required an entire avengers team to try to stop it! No respect, jeez
Livewire is better than most of these guys. Tied with electro. My opinion though. She is unique in the same way Harley is, they started out in the animated series, much more than the others and Livewire redeems herself in the comics, something many villains rarely get. Give this whacko a second look, just like you gave Caitlin Snow. Hell, I’d team up with you if you like. God I sound to fan boyish. 😂
Lightning Lord does sound more interesting than Electro. The problem is that DC generally has better villains than Marvel, just as Marvel generally has better heroes than DC. It’s like how McDonald’s has better fries and Burger King has better burgers.
Well I must admit I'm surprised ZZZax is on the list. Your right he's great, but I didn't think you'd think of him. Never underestimate a man with a series of forgotten rouges videos. Shocker of course can't be on the list since despite the name he uses vibro not electric gloves. Which just leaves Electro. Come on was anyone really shocked he was number !. Or that I'd join the current trend of electric puns?
@@davidchalmers2504 What, His Shock Gaunlets Makes Him Not Count, But Electrocutioner Wears Shock Gloves, He Doesn't Have Super Powers Just Like Shocker
@@pandegaarkanrauf8413 No, that’s not the issue. Shocker doesn’t shoot electricity. He shoots high-powered vibrations from his gauntlets. Those are also known as shocks, giving him his name.
