These trucks are so choked out. They need hi flow cats, 4 inch dual cat back with an x pipe. 6 inch tips. Sad to see people love leaving these 3 inches. All the factory cats and resonator. Oh well. I'll get one and do it myself.
That first white truck with the borla duals is not only one of the best-sounding 7.3L exhaust systems but also one of the best-looking exhaust jobs I have seen. Great job guys! Thats the only way to do dual exhaust.
#5 Borla Pro XS should of been #1. What should of been #2 is the Borla XR-1. Finally I get to see a Super Duty that removed the factory mufflers and factory resonators. I was highly impressed with the X-PIPE and the Borla Pro XS with dual in dual out true duals with the 6 inch tips. Amazing job. Best Super Duty exhaust set up ever.
That’s not true duals. True duals are individual from header back and never intersect with the other side. True duals are have a unique sound because the firing order of the cylinders can be heard.
The Borla is mild and mellow. It will deepen more when packing material breaks in. The Dynomax Bullets are a bit raspy but deep because of the double muffler setup. Not bad. The Outlaw exhaust does not need the resonator. They sound better without one The Widow Maker is my second favorite here. The resonator needs to go though. The Borla would sound better with just one muffler but it still sounds good. My favorite is the the first Borla system.
I went Stainless Works High-Flow Headers (1.875") with their Redline Cat-Back Exhaust on my 22 F250 CCLB 7.3. Blows all of these out of the water with barely perceptible drone at highway speed with radio off. This video confirmed my decision. Thank you for your content.
#1 and #2 were the only ones I liked out of the five. The rest sounded like crap to me... Here's what _I_ would do with the exhaust on those trucks, with that motor. 3.25" H-pipe into a Y-collector, flowing directly into another, REVERSE MOUNTED Y-collector (to return to dual exhaust), and after that, two 3.5" glasspacks that feed into 6" quad tips, tucked behind the body, pointed towards the ground. If that doesn't get your imagination going, then idk what will.
Personal preference was the smooth sound was the Flowmaster. With no cracking at high rev, low throaty sound at idle, and smooth up top. Perfect while towing.
Great video! Enjoyed it. I wish there had been a Magnaflow in the group. We're hoping to upgrade our exhaust sometime on our 7.3 Godzilla. I want the growl on the outside - but I'm worried about adding drone noise inside.
My daughter lives in McEwen. I live in Louisiana. Christmas is coming 2023 and my wife wants to know what I want for my present. I want to go see our daughter and come see you to have my Christmas present installed on my 2022 7.3 crew cab long bed. Can your lift accommodate an 8’ long bed crew cab? When will you be closed around Christmas / New Years holidays? More importantly can you do the install “same day?” Or at least by next morning? I’m the Armed Mariner and I don’t play around. I would like to do this. Oh. My truck is stock suspension and tires. So no clearance height issues.
Great work you guys, I just found you tonight. I have a 2021 F250 Fx4 7.3 Gas Lariat, 30,000 miles. Been waiting to put on an exhaust and now the time is right. I noticed on two of your 5 systems you took off the massive, heavy Resonator. You also mentioned leaving it on to kill droning. 1) Were you able to drive these and verify once the giant resonator is off, a bad/annoying hum or drone will be heard in cab? 2) Has anyone had you put on headers too in these 7.3 Godzilla's?
@@bnava25 thats my wifes YT acct. I uploaded the video with my final rendition of my exhaust setup. It started as 2 Borla XR1s and all resonators removed. The final rendition is the link i sent which is just the mini XR1 and no resonators. Enjoy!
My request would be when y’all make these videos. I want to hear more of it idling I love the revving, but y’all only let it idle for like one second I would like to hear more idling please
I do like your #1 choice. Wondering how much louder it would be inside. Love to see a decibel test inside on before/after. I did a FlowFX cat-back on my Fj and it is now just a little too loud while cruising…
The first, the last and the 4th truck were all I needed to hear. ProXS for the win...! I like the last setup with the Borla XR-1 mufflers, but the ProXS truck had more crackle.
The crackle sounded like clapping to me. I didn't like the way that sounded. Too much of it for just free revving at a dead stop. Driving down the road, letting off the gas while in gear, ok. Snap, Crackle, Pop your way to the stoplight. But, for it to crackle that much from some light free revving? Idk how I should feel about that.
@@iraqifoodcart8447 you could add some small Vibrant or better yet, Borla resonators to cut down the crackle and smooth out the tone. Or he could have gone with the setup as is, but with an H-pipe in place of the X-pipe, as well.
