cutiepatooty123 Zack Snyder is the guy who directed films such as 300, Watchmen, Sucker Punch, Man of Steel, and Batman V Superman. Walter (the guy hosting the video) plays a parody of Zack Snyder in Nostalgia Critic :)
John Kohls Best performance from Morgan Freeman: The Shawshank Redemption. Worst performance: I like all of his performances but if I had to choose the worst I'd say his performance in Ben Hur (Remake).
You aptly summarized why Last Crusade is my favorite in the series. But HOW can you not have Regarding Henry and Witness? Not even as honorable mentions?
Tadicuslegion78 -Indiana Jones isn't number one. It's not even an honorable mention. Indy's not even on this list. Number one is his character from What Lies Beneath. His role as Han Solo in Empire Strikes Back is number two. I was hoping Indy would be number one, but they went with something else. Bogus.
I just cant believe Regarding Henry didnt get an honourable mention. That movie really underlines Fords range as an actor. While I agree with most of your choices, I would have at least mentioned Regarding Henry, if not put it in at number one, moving Jones into Solos spot in the list. But meh. Great video Mr. Snyder. Thank you.
He's easily my most favorite actor. As a kid, I fell in love with so many of his movies - Blade Runner, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Frantic, Innocent, The Fugitive ... . Frantic is a very underrated movie by the way - really worth seeing if you haven't heard of it.
Some suggestions Christopher walken Jonah hill Leonardo DiCaprio Mike Myers Matthew Broderick Paul walker Angelina Jolie Brad Pitt Steven Spielberg Morgan freeman Michael j fox Meryl streep
1) Henry Turner - Regarding Henry, 2) John Book - Witness, 3) Rick Deckard - Blade Runner, 4) Indiana Jones - Raiders of the Lost Ark, 5) Jack Ryan - Patriot Games Honorable Mentions - Han Solo {The Original Trilogy}, Richard Kimble {The Fugitive}, Branch Rickey {42}, President James Marshall {Air Force One}, Tom O'Meara {The Devils Own}.
My favorite Harrison Ford film/performance is definitely his role as John Book in 'Witness' he was the typical tough guy that could use his wits and his fists to solve a problem. But the role also made him very complex too, he was also sentimental, he could show off his more playful genuine side. He literally became that character and his relationship with Kelly Mcgillis was a lot of fun to watch. He got nominated for an Oscar and you can see why when you see that movie
I'm guessing you've never seen Witness (1985). He was nominated for an Oscar for it, but you haven't even given it an honorable mention! Same for Regarding Henry (1991), another great performance of his that hasn't got a mention.
10:55 I have to admit that you really got me there. I was prepared to write my angry comment lol. I agree 100% that his best performance as the iconic Indiana Jones was in The Last Crusade, partly due to his chemistry with Sean Connery. Crusade just so happens to be my favorite in the series, and my 2nd favourite movie of all time!
Never seen 5-3, but completely agree with 2 and 1. I still love to watch him in these movies, and both of them are the best parts of their respective series
My personal favorite Ford performance is as Linus Larrabee in Sabrina. Ford had been typecast as a badass action hero for so long, it was refreshing to see him as a secretly insecure vulnerable businessman who had been neglecting his personal desires for so long that he actually forgot he had any. He brought a real humanity and evem a humility to the role that not even Humphrey Bogart (who played the role in the original) could pull off. When you can out-Bogart Bogart? That's pretty freakin' impressive.
If this was a top ten list, I know his performance in Air Force One would've been number three or four. His performance in that movie is what made the film so good. Great action and suspense, as well as a big plot twist, AFO is probably one of Ford's best performances ever.
Hey 42 was filmed in my hometown! (Macon, GA) My sister got hit on by Chadwick Bozeman in a bar and my best friend was driving through the set area and Harrison ford walked right in front of her. Also I got to watch them shoot a scene. Great memories even though i barely remember watching the movie lol 😂
How was Witness not mentioned anywhere? I mean he was only nominated for an Oscar... so probably shouldn't be discussed on a list of his best performances.
I'm really glad to see The Mosquito Coast on this list. For YEARS I've said it's the best Ford performance no one knows about, and in particular because it's one of the rare post-stardom movies where it seems like Ford is legitimately trying to inhabit a character, rather than relying on his usual schtick. Plus, playing a rather dark character rather than an outright hero. (I like to compare it to The Caine Mutiny, since Bogart is another actor who rarely went far out of his comfort zone and yet, in one brilliant turn, really knocked it out of the park playing a deeply flawed/morally-gray character pushed to the edge.)
I liked Last Crusade, but whether you liked it over Raiders or not, in my opinion he did a better job in Raiders Of The Lost Ark. In Last Crusade he just seemed in some scenes to just go through the motions, with out the same spontaneity as in Raiders.
degree7 I know this is 6 months old and all but there wasn't anyway they could've killed that plane. Sean Connery character (Henry Jones) used the smart way and might be the only way. His character is you know intelligent like his son but he isn't like Indiana Jones, action packed. Also I like this movie but I like raiders better. The last crusade is based on you know preventing the Nazis getting the Grail while the Raiders it had things that are weaponized and trapped and getting the ark. The Crusade moments are more about the bonding between the two and about the Crusade and Grail which I like but the more action packed movie takes #1 spot and the last crusade takes #2 then the more horrifying one takes #3 then the crystal skull...I like it but NOT A WHOLE LOT! But I agree on your opinion and the favorite movie opinion. The Last Crusade ALMOST took #1 spot for me but Raiders held it. The second one Temple I like it but it's just chilling not bothering just watching the two movies trying to win over another. But i like the pigeon scene for me. Sean Connery character Henry Jones is more chill than his son while Indiana Jones is more about Archeology, steady, careful, action, and badassery, but the most part making it BELONG IN A MUSEUM!
