Hey Blazin, hope all is well by you. Through these days since Friday I’ve been relocating the A9 speakers around my apartment constantly for optimal listening and optimizing them as well whenever I relocate the speakers trying to find my cushion zone. I thankfully believe I found my sweet spot which is very similar to how you have yours in the video. I wanted to get your thoughts on gaming. I’ve been playing PS5/Series X games these past few days with your settings you’ve given for both of them and I gotta say brother, the PS5 360 3D Spatial technology really makes a huge difference compared to Series X Dolby Atmos. I honestly prefer the PS5 3D Spatial Technology over the Series X Dolby Atmos when gaming. It’s just the sound effects on the PS5 are much more pronounced than Series X. I did some digging on the Series X and learned that I can actually get the same effects as the PS5 by turning off Dolby Atmos in Series X settings and using the 7.1 uncompressed Audio settings while using “Pass Thru” for the Dolby app. This made a Huge difference for me and now sounds much like the PS5. I pretty much used the same settings you’ve given for the PS5 on my Series X and I love it now. I can actually hear the games all around me where before I was somewhat struggling to hear the effects with Dolby Atmos. I mean, yes I was hearing some effects at times but they weren’t much pronounced, clear and loud enough like the PS5. To me, it was lacking like punch power and clarity especially the rear speakers. I think the Series X Dolby Atmos is just not perfected or something because Dolby Atmos for movies being played on my Apple 4K TV can definitely hear the strong bass and effects as you’re supposed to especially on the scenes where it’s meant to be heard. The movie Moonfall is AMAZING DOLBY ATMOS. This is a must play and also Ready Player 1 as well. What has been your experience so far between the two different technologies and which of the two consoles you like best for A9 sound purposes? Hey Wolf, I haven’t tried the 7.1 on my Xbox yet. I’ll definitely give it a try this weekend. But I can definitely agree with the PS5 sounding better! Games like Astro Bot, Sackboy, Crisis, and Battlefield 4 just sound so good. So do many other games. I play a lot of Battlefield 4 and compared to the Xbox version, the PS5 is giving me better height sounds. Planes flying around actually sound like they are above me. My wife was sitting on the couch one day as I was playing and said, “what is that?” She got up and looked out the window thinking a plane flew over. I told her it’s my game and she said, really? It sounded like it was above the apartment 🤣😂 However, a very good sounding game on Xbox is The Ascent. This game just pumps and has some really good surround. I only wish the Xbox’s media players were better. None support HDR or Dolby Vision and they always crash or lag.
@@blazinreviews2393 LOL! I know the feeling of that helicopter 🚁 phantom sound.. You need to play God Of War on PS5..It sounds crazy good! The effects of the conversation is heard literally around each of the speakers… Amazing effect. That’s a Great with the A9’s. I’m gonna try the Ascent again but honestly my game pass subscription expired about a month ago and waiting again till like Black Friday to get a deal. I still have EA subscription active till November plus I still have games that I own to play or play again (LOL). One game I’m waiting & eagerly anticipating is Gotham Knights.. I already Pre-ordered it. Also Evil West is on my radar but I’m struggling to which platform I should get the game on now that the PS5 sounds so awesome with the A9’s. I will be continuing to play my Series X games with these new awesome settings this weekend as well and decide later. (I have time, game comes out 9/20/22) I can tell you already though it’s a big improvement over the Dolby Atmos feature. Let’s see! 🤙
Problem with this system is a lot of people set the rears on max. This is not the way to use this system. Setting the rears on max makes you lose phantom channels in other places as becomes to rear heavy. To get the max performance out of this system, you want to use a sound meter and match every channel to the same DB using the test tones. Guaranteed you will hear much more detail than before if you do this.
At first I was thinking to myself.. Too bad I don't own a sound meter... then DUH ! I can use one of the free sound meter apps on my smartphone like "Sound Meter" from Abc Apps, or "Sound Meter & Noise Detector"... or “Sound Meter - Decibel meter & Noise meter" . Granted none of them will be as good as a quality audio sound meter but when you don't have one its the next best thing. I find your videos very good and very interesting. I have just one question. In a video you showed your perfect settings for the Ht-9, are these also the recommendations for the Ht-7000 soundbar?
All great movies!! Moonfall is chessy fun, with a great atmos track. Love Blade Runner 2049, haven't watched it with the A9 yet. I don't know why but I like watching the Blade Runner movies in the fall season. I just watched Ambulance, what a ride! Yeah the atmos track was awesome! Also watched Everything Everywhere All at Once, I found the atmos a little underwhelming, despite others reviewers saying it was good. I'll have to watch it again though. Check out the new 4k of Edge of Tomorrow, amazing atmos track, what an awesome movie!!
Do you think the HT a9 is the best with the subwoofer? How is the vocals during intense scenes with bass? Do they get drowned out? I’m looking to get this system

@@MrNickster12345 Very welcome, personally I do. This system is much better than a sound bar. If you are wanting a system capable of simulating a 12 speaker theater than the A9 is the way to go. I highly recommend finding a Sony store and getting a demo of it. You’ll be blown away.
@@MrNickster12345 It does, during setup it does a spacial sound mapping test which sends sounds bouncing off the walls to measure your room and set the sound quality to the best possible for your room. And it does a very good job doing this!
Hey Blazin, do you recommend getting the Sony Extended Warranty on them, What do you say? I’m debating whether I should spend the extra $330 for 4 years. It doesn’t seem like a bad deal but we already getting a year free of the Manufactures Warranty with Sony so really I’ll be getting an additional 3 years instead of 4. Not sure, these might be sensitive electronic equipment. Don’t know…I’m now even afraid spraying my living room with Lysol to clean the air which I sometimes do spray. I’m afraid just spraying this type of air cleaning chemical will do damage to the speakers. 🤔🤔🤔🙄🧐🧐🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
I got extended warranty from Sony on mine just to play it safe. With it being so pricey I just feel it’s a good choice. Never know if any thing happens in the future so always safe to be prepared!
@@blazinreviews2393 Thank you! So I’ll get it too. I’m somewhat stubborn with these warranties but you’re right! It makes sense. I purchased it today and realized it’s really 4 years as this warranty starts after the one year Manufacturer Warranty expires so not a bad deal.
