I really like all of your choices and the way you present then. I do think, however that pretty much all of your favourites look very similar. I downsized to 18 inch for winter wheels with Michelin Alpin tires. But I wanted a completely different look for winter so found a nice Anthracite 5 spoke. I think it has a certain “retro golf” feel.
Hi mate, I know this is an old video but I’m currently looking at the team dynamics for my 7 golf r. I’m on VWR springs, What width and offset would you go for to avoid any rubbing but still have a nice look? 8 and ET45 I was looking at. Cheers.
I have OZ Ultraleggera in 18X8 ET 45 (8,00 kg) on my Golf 5 GTI, I ordered 19 inch Vertini RFS 1.1 (19x 8.5 ET 45 ; around 9 to 9,5 kg) in brush titan for my Golf 7 GTI TCR. I also like very much the forged Titan 7 TS-5, very light in 18x 8.5 ET 44 (around 7,4 kg) or 19X 8.5 ET 44 (around 8,3 kg). I like also the BBS CI-R but it's weight is disappointing (about 11 kg in 19x 8.5 ET 45)
Nice top you did. You really can't go wrong with OZ wheels. I also like the HyperGT HLT and Formula HLT beside the Ultraleggera HLT and Leggera HLT. The R360 and Cup Edition from Racing Line are also nice. I'd probably go with the OEM look, Pretoria for the summer and Cadiz for the winter.
Enjoyed the list, thanks. I've been struggling with this issue since one of my Prets cracked on a pothole. I'm thinking of the OZ Superturismo LMs in silver as kind of a throwback to the Mk4 R32. I like the new format of the show. Over time, you might want to add some car related things around you, like stuff on a bookshelf or something like that. I would probably move the mic down just a little below your chin.
Norm Jones I like the Superturismo👌🏻 Its so hard to choose a set of wheels to buy I know the struggles and Thanks for the feed back I’ll get things sorted👍🏻
I have an Indium grey 7.5 R Love it. Ordered with 19" Pretorias..made by BBS...only 9.kg/wheel. After bbk install...must go forward. Summer 19" Oz Ultraleggera black Winter 18" OZ Ultraleggera silver Track: 2set of Sparco Assetto Gara black But i have few other favourite...but my wife will kill me if i buy another sets...like mbDesign MF1 BBS CHR ATS GTR evo These 5 is my top 5 James!!! Oh and inforgot the Motec Superlight 😅
@@jamesr50 yes yes and it has reason! They made good quality alloys for the price! No surprises...like in kinder eggs! LOL I have checked the sparco product range a few hours ago... I will buy a set of sparco trofeo 5...and i think i will be devorced soon...🤣🤣🤣🤣😘😅😅
Thought the video was really good mate, enjoyed the different cars being featured. Think that information given was useful and those are some stunning wheels!
Your car inspired me to mod. I went stage 2 pops and bangs (resonator delete and high flow downpipe) check out the sound let me know what you think. Both videos on my channel are super short. Just posted for you to see
As a person who has hearing problems, I use lip reading to help me understand what the person is saying, so having a small planet in front of your mouth, makes it hard for me to understand what you are saying. On the subject of the video, I really like the oem Pretoria alloys on the mk7
Corsaez I’m always open to feedback so Thankyou and I am sorting out a few bits with the room like putting the mic out of frame/ different mic setup and lighting etc...👍🏻
Enjoyed the video and I don't even have a mk7 lol. Hopefully down the road I'll have a mk7 next to my mk6😊 Sound is good but I would move the mic a bit .
numptybaws3 - To each their own, I’ve also got factory black prets and DCC on my R. Paired up with VWR lowering springs and spacers and for me the setup is perfect 👌
Apex race parts are working on a configurations for the VW GTI/Golf R platform as well. Their designs are classic with a strict focus on meeting/exceeding the highest standards for strength while staying low weight (prices are very competitive too).
