Oooh! How fun! I only have the Urban Decay Naked Honey palette and it’s wonderful. I’m very interested in these palettes. Thanks for creating this. Love it!!❤❤
My favorite UD palette is Stoned Vibes. I have a bunch of the newer naked palettes but I never reach for them. I think you should merge the two palettes together. Probably don’t need a backup. Maybe just label them with the original shade name so you can put them back if you don’t reach for it like you want to. Awesome video!
I've always loved the idea of naked palettes (particularly the ultraviolet and honey) but I could never seem to find a look that I was happy with. I actually decluttered mine (don't come for me!) a while ago as I found other palettes work better for me but I can't quite shake off the temptation to get them again
Never had any urban decay naked palette and I still want to own one. I 'supposedly' won 2 of their palettes, turns out the so-called giveaway was all a lie from a relatively big youtuber on here too, sigh! Glad those kinds of people still don't succeed in giving a bad image to genuine ones like you. Thanks and keep the videos coming!! 🥰
I only have the Cyber. I really like the mattes in it... Very easy to use but pigmented. And the shimmers are lovely. I noticed that people who enjoy more subtle or natural looks really enjoyed this one. I think quite a lot of casual make up wearers would really like this one. The packaging is pretty too but I wish it was less bulky
Hi Maaike I own the Naked 2 and I had the Revolution version of the Naked 3. I remember being really excited when they were releasing the ultraviolet - until I saw all the peach tones in it. Peach is not a colour that looks good on me, but I'm much cooler toned even than yourself (with less warmth in my blonde hair and grey eyes). I really struggle to make peach, yellow tones or horror orange tones work on me. If you look at the naked palettes most of them have peach tones, yellow based shades and warmth in every palette. If I'm buying a higher end palette I want to be able to use the majority of shades and not just a few of them - if only a few work I'm better off buying a quad or quint where every shade works. I still have the real naked 3 on my wishlist, but might buy the newer six pan instead of the full palette. It's the reason none of the other naked palettes are owned by me - none of the colour stories were quite right for me. If you listen to yourself then some of these palettes only have a few shades you really love. As you have an extensive palette collection that's a different perspective, but for me wearing my everyday makeup it makes no sense to buy/use palettes I'm not loving most of the shades. The cyber has a lot of light shades and I love light shades, but about half the palette is very warm toned light shades and of course the orange I would never use. The Naked 2 I normally use for a slightly smokier eye look and I will pull in some lighter mattes or shimmers in singles if needed, to complete the look I'm going for. This means I can use the majority of the shades for different looks, but I agree the lighter shades are quite yellow based and I rarely use those. If I'm having to reach for other things to make the look I want, then is the palette really working for me? Most palettes I find have a few shades that I don't reach for, but it has to have a majority of shades that do work to be worth the investment. Sadly so few of the Naked palettes meet that criteria for me. Best wishes.
I still love Urban Decay!! So glad you did this video ! I have the Stone palette ( limited edition sadly)they need to bring it back it’s beautiful especially going into Fall months . Their Honey is one my favorites!
I never got the Stoned Vibes. It had too few shades I wanted to use and I had similar shades in other palettes for the ones I did like. So I passed up on it.
Ah revisiting old loves. I think I own them all, still love them, but not head over heels in love with them anymore. They got a lot of slack, but for the average make up user they are solid ones to own and use. I like the idea of you merging some of yours, that way you might get more use out of them. No need for a backup for your Naked 3, you own the mini, the Huda one and the Natasha Denona and still have your favorite shades after merging it. Ok, now bottom 6 excluding the minis: Naked, Naked 2, Naked 3, Ultimate Basics, Smokey and Reloaded. Top 6: Heat, Honey, Cherry, Ultra Violet, Wild West and Cyber.
Did you ever do a direct comparison of N 3 with Retro and Rose quartz? I have both those although I depotted Retro and mixed it with the Love 😁 the Naked 3 seems to have a few shades you can't find in those? I find a lot of the shimmers in Rose quartz not that pretty to wear ... Even w different primer they don't last that well, they don't look that flattering either if you don't have the smoothest lids and quickly loose their luster throughout the day... They look better swatched than worn for me.
Not yet! But it is a video idea I am working on for a new series which I want to start in September: Battle of the ... palettes. It's all these rosy palettes that have been released recently that inspired the idea too. Am thinking of organizing it like a 'boxing match' with corners and rounds... Not sure of it yet, but the idea still has time to marinate.
I have only the ud born to run, but I had my eyes on honey and wild west. I get what they are doing, but now I'm waiting for smth differrent from them. I like their formula, but they really should to more textures.
I have Naked 3, Heat and Honey. Honey is definitely my favourite, I feel like it has a better shimmer formula than the others. My Naked 3 is very old, so I don't really use it anymore, but it used to be my go-to everyday palette. These days I prefer more colorful looks. The Heat was a bit of a disappointment for me - I like the colour story, but for some reason every look I do with it ends up looking the same. It's pretty, but on my skin the shades are too similar. I actually swatched Naked Cyber in store and I was pretty impressed! I'm waiting for it to go on sale and might actually pick it up. I agree it does not deserve the hate it got!
I actually never owned any naked palettes (not really my thing) but they're iconic the one that is most interesting to me is the cherry bc 🍒red🍒 but it's probably not red enough for me 😅
I just got my first Naked palette this year, Naked Cyber. I love it! I wish there were 2 deepening shades. I get why they chose the orange but it doesn’t look good on me so I only dislike one shade. That’s not bad! Shortly after I bought Naked 3 and that is probably my favorite palette in my collection! I can do no wrong with it. I wish I had realized I like the formula sooner. I passed up naked ultraviolet even though it was half off. 😫
So interesting, I do love Naked 2 and 3, Cherry, Ultraviolet and maybe Heat the best. I do enjoy some parts of Honey (those that aren’t too yellow and yellow gold) and Wild West, but I don’t seem to use it. I don’t have Smokey, decluttered Cyber, and own Reloaded, but have never used it. Probably enough said. I don’t think it is comparable to ABH Sultry though.
@@FloatinginDreams honey for sure. I like that heat honey and cherry favor more mattes. I like matte heavy palettes since I only use shimmers for my lid or inner corner. Although if I am gonna go shimmer heavy palettes it needs to be something special like Cliondah or notoriously morbid.
