Great video, got the small and large imperial sodbusters from HH recently to see if id like the pattern. Both of mine had a fair bit of blade play when open and off centre when closed. Was able to sort these issues out myself and now they're absolutely solid , tuned up and shaving sharp - brilliant value for money. Have used the small one almost every day since i got it for everything from cutting vegetables, cardboard boxes and prepping trout and mackerel. Its so small and lightweight its really easy to pocket carry.
Nice choices, have the Sodbuster Jr in yellow as it's a little harder to loose. Have you had a look at some of the Joker slip joints? There are some very nice examples, one with a carbon steel blade and olive wood scales is one of my favourites and it was around £17. Do like that Barlow.
Thank you for showing this great mix of knives, I have the Marbles in my basket for this month already, I will check to see if I can get the Queen Barlow or the Buck as well. Thank you again, sometimes you can’t see the the wood for the trees🤣 and you need another opinion . Take care and I will let you know what I buy. Sam
A quick update, I ordered the Marbles Sowbelly and the Queen Barlow, due to be delivered on Friday Thanks again I will let you know how I find these two great looking knives Sam👍
Slippy I prefure barlow any day must have at least two blades for mainly carving but I do love the imperial sow belly stockman I own a imperial barlow pocket knife worthy you getting one no country of origin on mine could be China or Ireland who knows I has that buck but don't like steel they use I force a patina on my carbon steel blades stick blade in lemon 👍🐾🦊🇮🇹
I have that Imperial. For the money they charge for it, it is hard to beat. It isn't flashy or fancy. It is purely functional. As usual I think you have good taste.
Im looking into getting a Slipjoint knife atm maybe you could help me with what I’m looking for. I’m looking for a Slipjoint (preferably classic style but won’t shy away from modern) that isn’t to big and has a hole for paracord/lanyard. I would appreciate some suggestions. Thanks
