I have the soundstreams and power acoustics. When it comes to tweeters of that type, not many other brands can touch em. That includes a lot of the more expensive ones. I pefer the sound of the soundstreams but i don't use that particular crossover/filter.

I run the power acoustik, slightly bulky but it has different backings so you can angle it however you like...and it's a fantastic tweeter!!

That's the thing people put this zzzzzz zzzzzz zzzzzzz and no mids, they put 2 12s and all you hear is bass and zzzzzz zzzzzz zzzzzz, don't over kill it, honestly SKAR was the best and what people should be using as an example on a nice clean system, you can hear the voice and what you want to boost your system. Please don't be that guy driving in the city with all these bees 😂😂😂😂. Great video.

Bought the skar audio only one problem they’re 0nly 92 db so even with punch 200ix With is like 150 rms per channel is not enough 😕

That rating is usually with 1 watt and 1 meter away. With more power they will play more than loud enough. I have 2 skar tweeters in my dash and they are louder than my kicker ksc series 6x9s in my front doors.

What about the cheap $35 Skar tx-1 oe the jbl gto 95t which is double the price of the skar but if they sound better than the skar ill go jbl. I currently have 4 skar tx68 6x8 door speakers, but at loud valumes, they begain to sound kind of harsh, so i need a set of tweeters & dont know which way to go. Im thinking, jbl, because they are small

Quick question, I have a pair of JBL 6x9 coaxial speakers but would like to add a pair of tweeters in the front to have some highs playing at the front. How do I set them up please ? Can I tab them into the same amplifier where the 6x9 are ? Or run them from the radio directly? I was thinking buying an extra small amp just to run the tweeters . Could you please advise Thanks in advance

why you say skar i think rockford fosgate is btter than skar, i tried rockford fosgate $50 and i returned it because of money and i already had some with bass, but the volume was amazing it was louder than the ones i have and clear which are jbls and infinities im just sticking to a whole one brand set but if i didn't have those i wouldve defnitely kept rockford fosgate privacy would suck but the highs and (volume)db it reaches is amazing.

You sould take a distance of 1 Meter when you measure the sound level becouse the SPL is in dB/meter !!!!

other than the skar (silk dome) the rest of those tweeters are bargain bin cheap mylar, PEI or Niobium (really cheap). Modern Orion, MB Quart and several other brands are no longer any good. They're now owned by a company called Maxxsonics. They pump out products as cheaply as possible and are piggybacking off the brand recognition.
