Which one is the best car for the rookie drivers in your opinion? Do you agree with my list?

Am i a masochist for starting with the Audi? It's what I used on AC so I just went on with it... now I'm kinda afraid of kerbs lol (Monza, Imola, Bathurst are the first tracks that come to mind). Is it something that can be fixed with setups or should I just try to main another car? Not sure, I get mixed feelings with it. It's a blast to drive around Spa for example (I can manage mid-high 2:19's with the Evo II) but at Monza (I get Ascari nightmares at night) and Nurburgring it feels like ass. (I do something like 1:51's and high 1:58's, yikes). Maybe I'm still bad at these tracks though

@@Ramp73 From my limited experience with it, it is pretty safe and predictable. I am very slow, but I get similar laptimes with most cars I tried.

I agree with ferrari 488 evo is good to cornering for beginners. but, how about new audi r8 lms evo ll? I think old audi r8 lms evo is unstable to cornering. so, at first I'm very embarassed to car. but, new dlc's audi lms evo ll is a little bit more stable with corners and good balanced than old one. hmm. a hard controlled thing is a little left. yet, how about your opinion?

My top five is 5: Porsche because is short 4: Porsche because is agile 3: Porsche because is fun to drive 2: Porsche because looks beautiful 1: Porsche because I don't like other cars as much as I like the Porsche Wait, this was a tier list for rookie cars. I missed the point sorry, but probably because I started with the Porsche :)

For me it was the relative surprise Lexus, not as competitive in an experienced field but easy to setup, decent tire wear, good in mid and fast corners and the best, most stable and quickest in the rain. The Lexus is also very consistent from track to track...unless it's a track with long straights, I find it to be a fun, consistent and predictable car. Avoid sausage curbs though! Finally, it sounds amazing! Great video Jards, thank you sir!

@aczech12
@aczech12 2 года назад
@@cakarbilal bit harder to handle and less aero than m4 but I have to agree, that it has more balanced pace across the tracks than m4 and bit more of high speed (Lex 266 km/h on kemmel straight braking vs 262-263 bmw on stock aero settings). It's' just bit snappy outta slow/mid corners, so bit harder for rookies imo. Requires bit different driving technique. But sound and funwise great car. Im 0.1-0.3s faster usually with BMW tho, depending on track.

Nice vid. As a rookie I drove Lexus and old 488 (pre update) in my first leagues. But now I really enjoy 720S. I could not drive porsche before but now I'm getting used to it, you definitely need to get your head prepared for it though, you cannot be lazy!! Would be cool to see what you do as a driver going between front engine, mid engine, and rear engine cars. I am not good enough to adapt, so I just choose cars that suit my driving style, rather than trying to change my driving per car. For example I cannot get the Aston V8 to turn in!!
@pleepler

I went for the Jaguar XK. No idea why, but when I was trying out other cars, it felt like it suited my style the best - massive power and speed on straights, because I can't do corners very well. If I can stay with the car in front, they're pretty much dead once we're at the end of the main straight and it's braking time. 2nd pick is the AMG GT, also massive power, but less than the Jaguar and incredibly neutral handling. Kind of like a butler, you tell it what you need, and it will process your request and deliver not exactly the way you want it to, but the way it should. And that counts for something

Coincidently, I spoke with the lead mechanic of the Bullitt racing team about their new Aston Vantage GT3 that they were test driving during a trackday at the new Spa circuit, around 2 months ago. He confirmed that the new Vantage GT3 is very well balanced on the track. So maybe your number 1 is spot on in RL as well ;) FYI, he also said that new AMG engine is fantastic. Low consumption and very reliable for GT3 racing. Contrary to what the haters say, Aston made the right choice to equip their new Vantage with a German but very modern engine, also for the public roads…

couldnt agree more with the aston martin at number 1, super stable both in the corners and under braking. although it seems fast i wouldnt put the bentley in there, i find its default setups extremely oversteery and the car (from experience) is extremely hard to catch. i would probably replace it with the lexus as that can be extremely stable on both aggressive and safe presets aswell as being very dominate in wet conditions :)

I'm a Ferrari guy. I tried the other cars mentioned in this video (and others) and NOTHING compares to the Ferrari. Now, that being said, you have to know how to drive a Ferrari. To me, it has some absolutely amazing perks, and if you know how to take advantage of them, it screams on the track. First, you have to rev the crap out of it. It likes to live in the red line. And if you know how to do that, not only will it have screaming power out of a curve, but it engine brakes like a champ. If you don't know to do that, the engine will bog a lot, and it will never be as powerful as it can be. Second, the brakes are VERY touchy. It's not the kind of car you can slam on the brakes and coast. Engine and trail braking techniques are a must. Lastly, as mentioned, curbs can really unsettle the car. Badly. It will spin out immediately if you get too far into a curb and hit the sausage even a little. And as an extra added bonus, the sound of the engine is heavenly! Great video!

The Bentley is my favourite and most used car. As you say, the torque is incredible, I hardly ever go down to first.

For me M4 is the easiest - rear end grip outta corners is just enormous, and it's very balanced. Suits my driving style very well as im faster with it than in Aston (although im not a rookie anymore lol). Much better aero than Lexus in stock form (im able to take Eau Rouge flat out - not always the case in Lex with same speed).

Gotta agree, I saved around 1.2 seconds on every track with the M4, I was using the ferrari behforehand.

Same here. M4 is my go-to. Also, against common opinions, i do like how it looks.

forgot to add - M4 is also very nice on the curbs, it's hard to bottom it out

@@tooeasy1100I think people just meme on how the front grille looks. But i agree, on the GT3 with the widebody the front grille doesn't look out of place. And the car as a whole looks nice.

I got a 1:57:345 during the young drivers test in career mode . I improved from a 2:02 time. I ask you what AI level should I go with? I chose normal for this new season . FYI I choose the Porsche 911 GT3 this time . I am trying to log laps in new cars at a challenge . Last go I used the McLaren 659s and I was seconds fasters than the AI. I want a competitive AI.

Here's what I guessed it was going to be; Aston Mclaren Bentley BMW Lexus Forgot about Ferrari, always found it hard to get good lap times with but it feels very fast. I started a few months ago with Aston V12 (oops) then Lexus and now the mighty HOONDA. Much love to you Jards
