The bit in the middle of hull is called a wave breaker! I’ve own multiple cats and I currently run a Liesurecat in 2C Survey! Once you own a cat you never go back! 💯👍🏼👌🏼
The Freeman is a better boat any way you cut it. The Freeman is built in SC to make the 70 mile ride to the stream comfortable. Great ride, great company and great history!!
Freeman’s are fine boats with a good ride. They are certainly great at marketing their story. If I was was spending that kind of money I would need to get to know their team like family. In my experience the company that feels more like family to me is Invincible 💯. Could that change overtime? Maybe. I can only go off of my experiences to this point.
I agree with what your saying. After looking at these newer boats I feel like an old outdated cat owner. Sometimes old can be cool. I own a 2000 Glacier Bay 2680 Coastal Runner with twin 150's. Yep, It is one of the old Glacier Gay cats used doing their promotional long distance runs from Hawaii to Midway Island and Seattle to Alaska etc.. The old Glacier Bay is still getting it done even after 20 years.
Sometimes oldies are goodies. That’s a fine boat, and I am sure that story has inspired many people to try and buy catamarans 💯. Think of your boat as a fine wine that gets better with age. Like the original IPhone or the 1st pair of Air Jordan’s.
Thanks, I use it primarily for ocean fishing out of Northern California, It has new electronics, outboards and trailer but the boat itself is still almost like new.
@@captjim007 Moving beyond Center Consoles is what makes Catamarans the best imo. I don't see a need to move beyond a 115 hp is necessary with a cat as well...maybe a 130 ho. Obviously a huge price difference when you move beyond a 115 hp engine across the board.
I put a bunch of days into this. I was most impressed by Invincible’s team. They had a super friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and personable staff. If a company takes such care in their teams happiness and preparedness they will always have the best product. Companies are about people, than the products.
I have a question if I would like to design one with deferent deck layout, like one for fishing and cruising and the other for family and a Weekender with little fishing, do you have contact that can design it and make the mold?
Great analysis. Have you looked at foil technology? What about Hysucat? A video on your thoughts on foils would be cool. I think hysucat and Aquila are the only two with this feature. I am a cat fan too and ex military. Rangers lead the way! Huah.
Yeah man that Hysucat and Aquila are sick 💯. I will be sure to do a video on it when the Rona dies down in the fall hopeful fully. Check out the Carbon Cat inflatable they are super cool also. Thank you for your service brother. Many more videos on the way! Especially when it’s Twin Vee, and Invincible.
Bought a new 26’ Twin Vee and the factory has very poor support. They only have one person “Preston” that does the everything including design, run the factory and warranty support. Tried to get a replacement part within the one year warranty and they say they changed there product and no longer carry the product. So I’m out of luck. They won’t provide warranty and provide the replacement product. Also, they have not fixed the turning problem on this model. All there 26 will turn AWAY from the turn after 30 mph. It’s VERY dangerous! The new 24’ doesn’t do it. I wouldn’t by the 26 again. I would trade it for the 24’. But I also would not buy TwinVee again. There are allot of other better boats on the market now.
I think the problem is people thing a boat warranty is like a car warranty. Sadly they are not. It’s really up to the dealer to take care of your issues. Catamaran’s will turn hard one way or the other if the weight and balance is slightly off. With that said do you have any add one that may have your boat heavy on one side. I have noticed this problem even if I have one person or equal weight standing further to the side than the other. Also if you have water in bilge this can make a huge difference. Cats need constant fine running with trim when your running in different wave patterns and heights. Twin Vee’s are a good boat, but I agree the 26ft needs to be updated 💯.
Thanks for watching. Freeman may have an edge under 36ft as they have so many in the field battle tested. Invincible has the best hull tech, but not as many battle tested hours. Prowler / Worldcat has been making big cats a long time. They have a great value and solid build. Sea hunters probably showed the best. I personal would buy a Freeman up to 36ft and Invincible 36ft + if money wasn’t a big factor in my decision. If running charters I would buy the HammerCat 35. Hope this helps.
Information on affordability Fuel economy And value It's hard to come by. My brother has an older ProKat so I have been ruined. New cats are more money than I am willing to spend although a new Twin Vee is tempting.
It’s going to completely depends on the conditions. Some cats do better in bigger waves if they have bigger tunnels, some do better in a chop, some do better turning. What conditions are we talking about?
I’ve ridden on both in heavy seas and you could not be more wrong about the invincible vs the freeman. The freeman makes the invincible look like a toy. Don’t put out an analysis on best boats before you educate yourself first hand. Take away the freeman rides better and is faster it is the same price. You need to do a little more research bud
They did not have the 31ft Twin Vee at the show. But it sounds like I will have a chance to do a longer in depth review on either that one or the 36 in the coming months.
Your right. I was speaking more of modern power cats. I will be sure to put that in my next boat show video’s. It’s very important to me to tell that story as well.
Your B-roll has too much eratic motion. Static shots would have been better than an inexperienced stabilizer operator. Slow down the movements. Do just one move at a time; i.e. if you're gonna push in, just push in. slow. If you're gonna pull back, just pull back slow. If you're gonna pan right, just pan right. If you're gonna tilt up, just tilt up. Pull-pan-push-tilt-rotate is not a camera move.
