Citizen Prezio women's eco diamond watch is breathing magnificent in every way possible. Lucky me! The original price 850.00 purchased on sale though would have paid original price love the watch. 🥰
I like casio too, but for affordable watches that look nice with office clothes I definitely prefer citizen, seiko and orient. Although, the square stainless steel Gshocks are really killer looking.
I have 6 EcoDrive watches, different styles, different bands, from $150 model to a $650 model. Other models drove me batty replacing the battery, so the EcoDrive function is great.
I wouldn’t leave it in a box or complete darkness... leave it on a dresser or somewhere where it can get some natural or artificial light. That way, it will never die and you probably won’t run into capacitor issues.
I refuse to buy watches with a battery, which has limited me to mechanical pieces, which are great but have their own issues and drawbacks... mainly cost for a nice one. Love my Eco
For what they are, Citizen makes some cool watches. The eco drive really adds some pizazz to the standard quartz movement and is definitely nice to not have to ever worry about changing the battery. Just don't leave it in a dark drawer for months when not wearing it. I have heard of a few peoples watches having a hard time coming back on after they've done that.
I’ve been trying to find the 4th watch you talked about in this video. Do they not make it anymore? I followed the link but it’s a different watch without the chronograph. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
I do now own an Omega Seamaster, but I've had the Skyhawk Titanium for 12 years. It's obviously a lot less maintenance and more functional than the Seamaster. I just can't feel as much like James Bond while I'm wearing it.
Uuuughh. I have five Citizen watches. I really want a Seamaster, but I just can’t bring myself to spend five grand for it. I’ve got the money, but I just can’t pull the trigger. I wear my Citizen watches everywhere and all the time. I just have a feeling I won’t want to scratch a 5K watch. Congratulations dude on your Seamaster. Please enjoy it on my behalf!🙂
In real life it's obvious James Bond would wear a quartz watch. I mean, if his expensive, prestigious mechanical watch is lagging even by a few seconds? He's not gonna make it out of the villain's secret base before it all blows up. Plus, all those stunts he does? No mechanical watch would survive all that trauma, but only a quartz. In fact, if you consult the novels, Bond does in fact wreck several expensive watches. Personally I have the Citizen Blue Angels, and I always tell myself it's the watch James Bond would have worn if he had been a tax inspector.
Good to see Citizen watches getting some attention. Though I find the Eco-Drive concept to be pretty cool, I've not found any Citizens that really caught my attention.
Collection implies I can afford more than four of these. Frankly I can only afford one or two. To be fair, the most expensive watch in their entire lineup is about $3400, so that’s cheap compared to other flagships. My local jeweler sells quite a few of them, including the three main series, Eco drive, Atomic timekeeping, and Super Titanium.
Eco Drive is powered by any source of light; real or artificial. Solar watches only charge in near direct sunlight. Whereas eco-drive citizen watches charge by every source of light.
Good video guys, but just a note - I have two of your #2 (in gold and in steel). I guarantee you that is NOT a sapphire crystal, it's a domed and magnified mineral glass. My good one is mint, my steel (everyday/knockaround) is scratched to death. Mineral, not sapphire.
Good correction, thanks! I think I'm just used to calling all watch glass "crystal", which is a bad habit to have when talking about vintage or vintage-inspired pieces...
A moonphase would be spectacular! I've yet to come across a technology that has worked so much BETTER than I anticipated. Their solar watches are truly awesome.
Not all of them are overly large. Only most of them. Lol. My Citizen BL8000-54L (one of the Chandler line) is only a 39mm case. It's one of my favorite watches. It has a great wrist feel, and Eco-drive and a perpetual calendar just seem like a complication match made in heaven.
Actually, any type of light. Not only sunlight. However, sunlight will recharge it faster, but indoor light and even smaller light bulb will do the job.
Hi guys. Watch from the link no 3 is different ( no illuminatied dials, diferent band). I like yous much betrer but cannot find it. Can you tell me model name please?
it looks like you have a different band for #3, the world chronograph. how do you get that? it looks nicer than the original band that comes with the watch
A bit late in my reply, one reason was the watch was a silver dress type to be worn with a suit it had an integrated strap so if the lock broke as my old seiko ..the strap couldn't be replaced making the watch unwearable and as it cost my wife 130 pounds I thought best to sell it
from an investment standpoint , you are wrong there , a rolex or any other luxury brand would be a superior choice since most of these retain their value or the appreciate with time , the citizen / everyday brand of watches dont , so I would say , if you do have the ability to drop your paycheck on a watch m do it on a rolex and not a collection of eco drives
From an investment standpoint absolutely! But only Rolex can really say that value will be held 100% (excluding the true high end such as Petek etc...). If you consider even a brand such as Omega, your initial investment may lose $2,000 the second you leave the store, which is more than any full-priced eco-drive. With that being said, I own a new 3235 Datejust, and several Citizens. They all serve a purpose. The point that was being made in this video was less to do with "investment value" and rather more in "features / functionality per dollar"
Eco drive watches charge using ANY kind of light. As you can see, we own a few of these watches, and I can say from experience that unless you literally put it in a drawer in the pitch dark, these watches will never run out of charge.
@@lifestylelab-gear3476 Citizen popularized solar much better than anyone before them, so I give them credit for that. As for their watches, I find Citizens look too "busy" and there's not enough contrast in the hands when it comes to actually telling time. I do like the Promasters which are simpler.
I command you on starting new watch channel ,but "high end watches dont have chronograph or they r not customizable" Come on guys ,I get what you are trying to say ,and I ll support you with sub and likes ,but write better scripts. ANd keep moving forward!!
Correct, Seiko is case a point for that statement. However, can you name a mechanical watch that can meet COSC timekeeping accuracy standards that costs under $1000?
Good presentation style _ good intentions _ "A" for effort _ nice try guys - but you both sound like salespeople in training because you lack in giving specifications; gave a thumbs up. . . :>)
Tags don't hold their value. You're better off getting something else that's cheaper until you can get the rolex. I used a bulova and a Tissot for quite a few years before picking up a rolex last month.
You guys are doing your videos wrong. Strange setting. Strange staring into the camera. Just do it like other youtubers do where we the view angle changes and focuses on the product, where you have a mic that removes the echo. Just make it less like a QVC video.
