I really appreciate these videos because there are so many manufacturers and molds, seeing how some of the most recommended ones fly and react in situations is awesome. Its also real nice seeing you guys go through at the beginning walking through different choices and compare them to other discs is great. Keep it up!
As much as I love some of the Clash molds, they should do Innova or Prodigy next. They just have more to pick from. I currently have nothing Innova in my bag. But I have a PA-5 (Prodigy) and a Cookie (Clash) in the bag.
You could easily do another Discmania episode with Link, Tactic, Origin, CD1, DD1 etc. DM has super stacked lineup. I love Razor Claw 3 (Tactic) and Vanguard and bag both of them.
Ive been putting with P2s for a while. I just dont know. They're really deep and I tend to like thin discs. Ive jist recently switched to a PA-5 (Prodigy) to toy around with a change. The Pixel also feels pretty nice but I think it has more to do with the great plastic MVP has.
I have a Simon Lizotte Metal Flake Mind Bender (MD1?) that I quite like. It's straight but a very different kind of straight to like the hex. Super floaty, a little sensitive to OAT, but I really like it.
DD is one of my favorite discs right now, as someone who's been working form a lot recently and trying to get distance up, my noodly arm can barely get most discs to 350 on both sides. DD is my closest disc to 400(In the air). Fantastic for long hyzer flips, big turnovers/air shots, and if I release it flat, wonderful roller disc that usually burns out around 430~. I can even rip it on hyzer with a forehand and get it to turn into a forehand roller to about 400 lmao, super fun disc.
The md1 and md5, the fd3 and the dd3 are all great. Personally I like the new s-line dd3 the most. It's just a banger of a distance driver. Also the pd2 is really beefy and relivable.
Yoo the one ive been waiting for! Logic for putter, Origin/MD1 for understable midrange, FD and FD1 combo for 7 speeds fairway drivers, CD1/Zetas/ TD for 9 speed, FD3 for reliable forehands, DD1 for distance driver!
I throw mainly Discmania as the mystery boxes were the best deal in disc golf when I started in 2019. Molds you should try: Logic (soft or hard exo) Tactic (soft or hard exo) Enigma (lux vapor if possible) TD (s line) My favorite is probably my p-line MD4 as the flight is no where near the flight numbers but I love my Links, Essence, MD3, and FD too
Recently got my hands on the new P3x and it immediately kicked the Envy out of my bag. It's the stable putter I've been looking for. Can't go wrong with the Essense either. I've found the ones in Neo plastic to be slightly stable for an Essense. I've got the Nate Perkins signature Zen's (1&2) and both the Zen's are more understable than the Neo plastic. The Zen 2 being the least stable of the 3 plastics. The Zen 2 is my favorite of the Essense's that I own.
You have to try glow d-line flex 3 rainmakers for putting and throwing and also the swirly s line fd is just a md1 in a fairway driver form, really nutrual and a straight lazerbeam. Last but not least you have to try the razor claw 3 ( meta tactic) its amazing for FH flex upshots, kinda like a bit more stable harp
as a big fan of the innova p2’s, i found the new p2’s a bit deep as well. p1 is a lot closer feel to the beloved old p2’s. point and shoot with a touch extra glide
I've been stoke for this video! Origin is a must try. For your put I think you need a P1. The fd3 for your overstable forehand. I love the essence so much that if you don't grab an FD grab that. Distance driver I would say the classic DD3
The links are my putters and I prefer them better than p2’s… great for throwing. The DD is definitely a bomber and a beautiful disc. There’s soooo many good disc from discmania this must be very exciting for you. Thanks for sharing your journey
