As much as I can support sponsored contents, this video lacks your usual opinion on the downsides of the game. I do hope you make a follow up video on things you don't like and if this game is for everyone, just like what you did with ZZZ. But it does look interesting...
Well, a sponsored video will, at most, only have light criticism on a product, so you can't really expect anything more like how his ZZZ video was, as that wasn't sponsored.
@@BackwardOutofDusk After some thoughts, I might be asking too much or just asking something straight up unreasonable... Redflaim himself will be the judge of that. But... Most people that watched this channel come here for his criticism and personal opinions about Genshin. Then, the audience got value from his opinion to make an informed decision, like whether or not to pull for a new character. So when his first video about a new game cut down on the negative part, it doesn't feel like a Redflaim video. It could also be a problem with fully integrated ads inside a video that forces the creator to skip on negative criticisms. I'm not disappointed or trying to push for something different. After all the sponsor paid for a showcase, and as far as I know, if Redflaim gets an income from his video then it's all good for me! I'm just stating that this is something to keep in mind on future sponsored contents.
The unusual long waiting of queues when you enter a server and severe lag when you enter a new area is annoying, but i will still play this game because it's promising for the most part.
I LOVE ToF but I just hope they are more confident in themselves cause you know the controversy of them ripping of some genshin and honkai for ads. I think they are a great game IF they confident in their own qualities
I initially didn't take them seriously at all because of the stealing etc., it made them look like they didn't care and just wanted to milk the Genshin trend... At the same time, I wonder if the publicity from all that controversy and the fact they seem to be doing well now is a positive for them in the end, and/or if that was the plan.
For the device features and improvements side of things: - Support for up to 90fps - Screen filters like in Apex Legends are pretty neat - Barebones for now but it has *Controller Support for Android as well* - Graphics settings are fine tuneable - Game has a much more stable and consistent performance at 90fps with my device with SD860 at medium-high settings (whereas Genshin struggles to barely get to 30 let alone 60fps on medium-high) There's probably more that I've missed, but so far, I've taken a liking to the game, compared to the 30 mins I had with Ni No Kuni which was followed by immediately uninstalling it since I've had a negative impression of it, my first 2 hours with ToF had been pretty fun for me. Edit: I've played for much longer for the past few days now, and I must it's a great but flawed experience. I disagree with this video about the story, the story is not good at all, it's so rushed and unfinished, the progression is too fast for me to properly digest it and so much is going on in such a small period of time, also the dialogue is meh as well, the VAs are too stiff in the line delivery and the emotional tones in serious scenes are a bit too much that it ends up becoming abit comedic, even the JP dub is suffering the same thing since the script given to them is poorly written. Gameplay, while a bit more varied than Genshin, is just too clunky and can get pretty tedious, like the combo of weapon switching isn't as seamless as I thought it would be and would often annoy me how it feels sluggish at times. Exploration is also kind of bland for me, the environment just doesn't have that wow factor that makes me want to explore them, the lore behind them is too unpolished and slapped together with minimal effort that I just didn't bother with it anymore, most of the time I just spend playing with others because it's just so much fun. And I didn't bother with PvP, I just don't care about it. This game is definitely not a Genshin killer like the devs think it is, nor the players who believe it will give Genshin some serious competition, it's too much of an MMO to be considered in the same category let alone on the same level as Genshin, and say what you will about Genshin, it's the objectively well made game between the two because of the level of polish and finesse put into it, from the story, voice acting, the design of the world and characters, it's just far superior to ToF. Not saying the game is bad, heck it's fun especially when you go on raids with others, but it's 5/10 for me, it's the equivalent of eating a big mac in McDonald's, it's not that good but not that bad either.
Glad to hear it!! I love the Ni No Kuni franchise and I uninstalled that so called game too ☠ it's just shameful to the original games But anyways I downloaded ToF today and I'm hoping to give it a shot Have a nice day 💕
Honestly gameplay feels like minimum effort compared to genshin. And honestly the character customisation feature is never that great when customisation isn't the point of the game. And honestly killing off a cute character right off before the player has had a chance to get invested - ehh! Who cares
I wanted to recreate characters from other media (such as Genshin, Honkai, etc) and was a bit disappointed that there's conflicting design decisions made in the character customization and lacking features despite being heavily advertised and publicized (I've seen lots of ads on it), which includes clothes with some parts that needed to be colored/is a huge part of the outfit cannot be colored; but instead, obscure details are able to be colored which is a letdown ngl. Will probably return on it at some point but even if they i dunno fuckin fix everything, the core of the game will be the same as this is the product they launched.
unfortunately the issues with logins and queues are apparent to many.. queueing time takes a long time and logging back into the game may cause your account to be deleted great game but they need to fix the problems ASAP or many players are going to drop the game quickly
For Archon's sake! Can just ONE of these awesome, anime inspired, open world, JRPGs NOT be free to play? Please! I don't have enough time in the day for all those limited time events, I can barely work Genshin in.
I'm glad the first video is something of a positive note. I potentially see more criticism once certain fans realize more content does not equal meaningful content But for those who genuinely enjoy the game it's good to see a realistic depiction of its quality and not just a teardown of Genshin in hopes of somehow spiting Hoyoverse or forcing a narrative of one game killing or competing I will say though the Traveler isn't really a self insert they do have a personality and are typically an impatient asshole it's more that it doesn't come across to people who just skip or don't pay attention to the dialogue It does make me wonder if TOF starting heavy will desensitize fans later on dark themes can enhance a story but relying on it can make things feel shallow. Like imagine if every arc of Genshin a major character died you would start to expect it and it would feel like shock value instead of a proper narrative conclusion
I cant fathom why people arw comparing this so hard to genshin when the only similarities are that theyre open world and anime styled ._. Theyre not even in the same genre
I have an unfixable glitch in this game where the textures are extremely fuzzy for no reason. My PC is pretty high specs and can handle much more graphically complex games, and yet this weird bug just won’t go away. It looks terrible :(
My LEAST favorite feature of this game. Tencent. That's it, sign up to this game, sign away your personal info. CCP, Mr. Pooh Bear, is happy when you do.
I was so excited to play but I can’t even get past the character import part without disconnecting, now I have 10 servers with different progress points. Wasted so much time for this.
I just can't trust them tbh and you sound really uninterested through this video lmao I can tell because you don't sound like this in your other videos when you talk about genshin hell you sounded more interested in ZZZ
