Interesting video. I’m from Canada and we have clopay and Wayne dalton here mostly because of Home Depot. But our top brands are Garex and garaga which makes very good quality doors, significantly better than clopay and Wayne dalton which I honestly hate installing.
Never worked on Garex, but I like Garaga we don't see them that often. Clopay has some nice models that we like. A lot of builders work with Wayne Dalton, but they are not very popular in this area.
Ok video. What attracted me to this video is that I'm actively looking for a nee garage door. I have a 16' wide opening and an 8' wide opening. I want a true carriage door onnthe smaller opening that matches innlooks, a standard roll up door, but can't find that anywhere. Looking to have something made, but it would have to be wood, which here in Vegas, won't hold up. I also want a super insulated door. Anyone have an ideas? There has to be more than what I'm finding, available?
Are you aware of long term (after 5 years) delaminating with the Cloplay or any other of the doors. We are looking to invest in a carriage style door an are looking at the Cloplay door. Do you have any suggestions?
We haven't had any issues with Clopay de-laminating, they do recommend a layer of polyurethane to protect it that can done as often as once a year on their Canyon Ridge Doors if they are in a high sun area. The Clopay Canyon Ridge is a great door, but they are a little pricey. You can also check out he Amarr Classica that is a great carriage house option and with a steel exterior you won't have to worry it delaminating.
I watched this video thinking this is related to normal homeowners but turned out to be for the millionaires. Normal homeowners look for cheap and good solution .
This is the TOP 5 so it does have some heavy hitters...My number one is an entry level the Raised Long Panel Traditional Door...but that is a good idea I'll work on a top 5 budget conscious doors...thanks for watching!
