The disrespect on Salah's name is beyond bizarre. Average 45 goal contributions every year (gets 20+ in the League every year)for 7 years and been out of form for maybe 6 weeks throughout the whole time and people put him second to a one (maybe 2) season wonder like Drogba who was otherwise completely average as a striker but had the Giroud touch of popping up at an important time .

Yaya was brilliant but for a couple of seasons. Salah is a freak of nature. He delivers every season. It is his what 7th season and still going strong. For sheer consistency Salah is clear of everyone including drogba.

Every time anyone talks about Yaya they always say 'Remember that one season' That's it, he had 1 unbelievable season (where a 35 year old Gerrard playing in a worse side got as many goals and assists btw) Salah has been the best player in the league for 6 years now and has barely had a patch of bad form

Bro. Im an African and I've been watching the Prem since 2003. I've seen both Lampard and Toure in their prime and the only thing Toure has over him is dribbling. As an overall midfield, Lampard was better. Granted Toure is more physically imposing but Lampard was something else.

What Rory means by overall is that lampard compared to yaya in the pl or even in their entire careers had a better career and was the better player but yaya was a more complete midfielder and was more dominant in his prime because that has to do with more than just g/a or creating chances but with both playing at a high level lampard did it for longer at consistently high levels

Yaya was better than Lampard. People always refer to that one 13-14 season with the 20 league goals but seemingly forget he was at City for 8 years. His tenure at City was crazyyy.

I think it's the other way round. People forget how he wasn't consistently that impressive but because of that ONE incredible season he's now apparently one of the greatest and most amazing players the PL has ever witnessed! Look at that Lampard's numbers and consistency - he blows Yaya out of the water.

Drogba was about more than goals abd assists....the guy redefined the lone striker role....one can't emphasize enough how resolute chelsea were due to him being alone in the opposition half....the guy stopped a civil war....when was the last time a single player won the UCL on his own individual performances.....how about his elite big game mentality...he won the league in his second spell ehich was 9 years after his first league...

In my opinion, Rory underrated Mahrez accomplishment first of all at leceister, then at City. On the other hand, Drogba has a bigger legacy than Mahrez. Out of that list the only player worth mentioning is Yaya. However he ow can you have Drogba and Salah and not have Jay-Jay, Essien, Kanu, Mane, Yeboah?? The greatest African player in my life time has to be George Weah (gorgeous George), followed by the greatest Ghanian player Abedi Pele

Just to speak on Yaya Toure he was more of a central midfielder rather than Lampard who was almost like a striker so obviously Lampard will have more goals
