For those asking about High Road, this video is on the original game where the jumping was better than the remakes. They messed up the jumping physics in the remake making the high road the hardest level.
High Road isn't even that hard if you get used to the jumping mechanics. I also though it was the hardest level but now that I'm used to it, it's not even as hard as I made it out to be
89FloydTheBarber High Road on the remake is not that hard if you understand the controls. If you don't understand the controls then you won't get very far in that level.
My version of the top 5 hardest Crash Bandicoot levels are 5. Fumbling in the Dark 4. Sunset Vista 3. The High Road 2. Slippery Climb 1. Stormy Ascent (Unused Level) Edit: I edited before but it was incorrect
The Jessemaroorox you can only play stormy ascent if you had a GameShark so stormy ascent dose not count. this is the original naughty dog crash bandicoot game.
Nicolas Souza Cortex Power gem is all about going in the right order to have the easiest path, which makes it all more like a memory game than a challenge
You are basing that on N.Sane version right? The High Road used to be like a joke level to me as a kid, the turtle boost jumps were so ridiculously high back then it completely broke the level's difficulty.
no way slippery climb and sunset Vista the most hardest road to nowhere is easier but not easy. at slippery climb i can be at 99 lives try to get the red gem 99 lives to game over. I've wasted less lives to get road to nowhere gem in the original Playstation one game.
I had no issues wit sunset vista apart from it being long there is a part in it where you can farm lives from bats so I felt if I lost a life I just got it straight back from the bats
Based on Getting the Gem 5 High Road: I'm not talking about the N Sane Trilogy here, the original in my opinion is the harder one as for some reason I would continuously slip off the stage and It took me forever. 4 Generator Room: This stage is so long and it seems the hit boxes are so broken for some of the jumps I just couldn't make them half the time. 3 Fumbling in the dark: The darkness in this level is a nightmare even with Aku I can never seem to be sure if I'm going to walk right into one of the rats or a spider and the boxes at the start can be difficult to break. 2 Slippery Climb: This stage took me an eternity to conquer on my first go for the gem the retracting platforms, the slippery movement, the birds and especially those stairs that were so incredibly frustrating to cross. 1 Sunset Vista: Definitely the most challenging and the most time consuming gem to get in the trilogy, This one had me furious for weeks as It felt impossible as its the longest level in the game with some very infuriating platforming this is the most annoying gem to get in the trilogy.
It's been a little over a week and I am amazed how much love and sharing went from this video! Thank you all so much for viewing, commenting in and even sharing this Top 5! It means to us more than you know! We're already working on a script for the Top 5 Hardest Crash 2 levels, and will work on the Top 5 Hardest Crash 3 levels in the near future! Also we'll be doing a side video to comment on the honorable mentions of this game, based on our thoughts and all of yours as well; but not until a certain DLC is released... Continue to be awesome, and be expect more content from us in the coming days! ~ Dave Chipotle
Dave Chipotle I am checking your videos my friend, and sub to you too.. I got platinum trophy yesterday in Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, I pass all those levels and all the gold relics, damn, the hardest game I ever played for ps4, no joke.. and it was a really pain in the butt.. But my friend, you forgot The High Road.. I got slippery climb passed with the red gem and gold Relic like 30 minutes.. the real one.. and hardest of them all was The High Road.. I literally died 1000 times.. I spended 7 hours to pass that one for the GOLD RELIC.. no joke, that one is insanely and extremely hard.. the jumping physics in the ps4 are different than the older version for ps1.. If I am not asking that much , can you do a video talking about the high road or a better way to beat that level in the fastest time? lol just joking....BELIEVE ME, that High Road one is really that hard, Uncharted 4 final part on Crushing is fairy tales difficult compared to the high road for the gold relic.. for ps4.. because there is a trophy that you have to beat every level on gold relics.. and that's why the high road is extremely hard.... maybe in ps1 is easier so that's why you don't put it on the list I don't know :) but your video is excellent and I will share it to all my friends..
Santiago Concepcion De Souza The Gameplay is a bit different and there were no relics in the Original, so you don't need a speed run without dieing at PSX
I couldnt get past slippery climb for like an hour but then i did and went to finish the final boss, when i came back to the level for the red gem i did it first time and i jizzed everywhere
"You disliked the video, didn't you?" Now that had me rolling. I will admit, slippery climb kicked the shit out of me when I played the original Crash as a kid. I had much greater success this time around now at the age of 23 and playing it on the N. Sane Trilogy. While I will admit it's a difficult level, I'd go as far as to say that The High Road or Road to Nowhere are the most difficult levels in the game. Those kicked my ass back then and they kicked my ass now. You can't see but two feet in front of you, the pig things match your position and you have to have just the right amount of momentum to make the turtle jumps. Rage inducing.
That little bit with the seesaw in Sunset Vista looks exactly like the same thing that happened to GarlandTheGreat when he first played Crash 1 year ago.
Definitely among my best childhood games during the glory days of the PS1. I'd always think that both The High Road and Slippery Climb is among the hardest, most frustrating levels I've ever endured. Others include here: Sunset Vista and Native Fortress. Also Hog Wild can be a little frustrating.
I did a livestream of Crash 1 a few weeks ago in preparation for the N.Sane Trilogy, and you are SO RIGHT about SLIPPERY CLIMB, i mean really, theres only ONE checkpoint in the entire level, and most of the platforms to me are erractic and dont have a good balance. Great work with the Top 5 video :D
I played CRASH games since I was 5 or 6 y.o and I finished this game. It doesn't matter how difficult these levels were. I spent about half of year to complete the game when I was young. But as child I made it :D
I just beat this yesterday, the hd version. Played it as it a lid but got tired of it. Part 2 has always been my favorite. I literally sigh at the end of the level with crash every time I beat a hard level haha.
On the remaster, I only got the red gem on my second attempt (this coming from a guy who thinks getting the colored gems is usually hard as balls). I also got the Stormy Ascent DLC, and although I died dozens of times until I finished the level, all subsequent times felt refreshing, even satisfying, to go through. Also, Stormy Ascent's bonus level is my favorite out of the whole trilogy in terms of gameplay.
Top 10 Hardest Crash Levels 10. Snow Go (Secret Route) 9. Orange Asphalt 8. Sunset Vista 7. Cold Hard Crash 6. Piston It Away 5. Tomb Wader 4. Diggin It 3. The Lost City 2. The High Road 1. Slipppery Climb
In my opinion the hardest levels in N Sane version: 1 Slipperly Climb 2 Generator Room 3 Sunset Vista 4 Road to Nowhere 5 The Lab 6 Fumble in the Dark 7 Toxic Waste 8 Jaws of Darkness 9 Lost City 10 High Road
Played the harder version of slippery climb on the new trilogy - "stormy Ascent"! It was released as a bonus add on! It took more than a hundred lives to get through it!
@@frankhunter8703 not I bet he talking about old crash 1 i know n sane trilogy crash bandcoot is hard but crash 1s version old he's saying I know it because n sane trilogy that level is easy and the bonus level is easy I'm know what he's saying you dont
My list (N sane trilogy version) 5. The Lab 4: Road to Nowhere 3: Sunset Vista 2: Slippery Climb 1: The High Road No stormy ascent because it wasn't included in the 1st game.
Dude, are you kidding me? Stormy Ascent was released as a DLC for the Crash Bandicoot Remastered specifically in Crash Bandicoot 1, a year later they released the level called Future Tense and this is just for Crash Bandicoot 3.
Top 5 hardest levels in my opinion: 5. Fumbling In The Dark 4. Cortex Power 3. The High Road 2. Sunset Vista 1. Slippery Climb, and I actually think after you've played Slippery Climb enough times (Which I have, only because the game made me start over), it's really not that hard.
Personally I could handle slippery climb easily but both road to nowhere and the high road had me pushing my limits, especially finding out about the last 2 boxes on road to nowhere. After the 3 already listed, it would be based upon ability to get all boxes.
You love me now because I 100% and 105% all 3 Crash N.Sane Trilogy games already. Besides the relics but I will say that I got all of the relics on every level that you stated to us today but haven't done all of the levels in the game
that's true thanks to my gained skills completing all crash bandicoot challenges, I completed 100% of the game, that wasn't easy but was amazing enjoy this game ! how wish games in this new generation were like Crash bandicoot adventure games
2 things. One, my favourite level in Crash 1 is Slippery Climb. Two, my top ten hardest levels; 10: Boulders 9: The Lab 8: Native Fortress 7: Boulder Dash 6: The High Road 5: Sunset Vista 4: Slippery Climb 3: Fumbling in the Dark 2: Cortex Factory 1: Toxic Waste ( Die please)
I consider High Road to be one of the five hardest levels, rope exploit or not. I never got good enough at walking on it for it to be a reliable way to survive anyway
Hmm.... I don't know if the remaster is supposed to be easier or what, but that's the version I played and Road to Nowhere and the High Road were pretty difficult. Slippery Climb wasn't too bad.
I 100% the original game once about 2 years back. the level I struggled on the most was Fumbling in the Dark. I raged and got my first game over trying to get the gem.
I think you should include high road and The Lab, those are harde than Cortex power and Native Fortress, my list would be: 10. The Lost City 9. Cortex Power 8. Castle Machinery 7. Lights Out 6. Jaws of Darkness 5. High Road 4. Sunset Vista 3. Fumbling in the Dark 2. The Lab 1. Slipery Climb
PS1 version- Slippery Climb was the hardest for me. At least Sunset Vista has a lot of checkpoints, even if it is long . Slippery is so hard because you only get one checkpoint, plus the N Brio checkpoint. On the N Sane trilogy version? The High Road is the hardest level. OMG! I died so many times on that one. Eventually I just had to use the rope trick to beat the level.
EDIT: My opinion of Hardest Levels: 10. Road to Nowhere 9. Cortex Power 8. Jaws of Darkness 7. Toxic Waste 6. The Lab 5.The High Road 4. Sunset Vista 3. Slippery Climb 2. Fumbling in the Dark (My least favorite of the included levels) 1. Stormy Ascent (never played it, but I watched some try to complete the level, definitely the worst)
Now Jaws of Darkness isn't that bad of a level, it's a semi-patience level. It's not horrible like Sunset Vista, but it's not short. The steep shifting up+down platforms after the second tunnel of bats, and the snake you have to either jump on of spin sideways to avoid blowing up one of the Cortex tokens ahead, gave me a challenge for 100%. I did had less problems with this level than my friend who completed this game.
slippery climb?! HELL NO! That place and native fortress goes straight to boulder dash and whole hog, slippery climb is fairly normal even if you try to get the red gem.
Top hardest level in original crash bandicoot without counting the removed level stormy ascent as following: 1 fumbling in the dark 2 slippery climb 3 the high road 4 sunset vista 5 native fortress
People talking about road to nowhere smh. That level is a piece of cake compared to "Stormy Ascend". Stormy Ascend the the hardest level in crash bandicoot PERIOD.
If you are talking about n sane trilogy then yes it's not that hard but if you're talking about naughty dog's original crash bandicoot it's still hard.
Slippery Climb isn't that bad, as it only took me 3 tries. For me the hardest level was the one directly after it. Can't remember the name, but I really struggled with it.
Slippery climb took me 3hours and 36 mins and 86 lives to get that god damn gem. I have about 7 mental breakdowns and the playstation barely made it out alive 😂😂
I got the red gem on slippery climb took least 8 tries. fumbling in the dark was 2nd hardest and sun set vista 3rd hardest and finally road to no where 4th hardest.
Slippery climb and high road are no so difficult once you learn the level. But Goodluck try to pass sunset Vista without lose its super long and difficult and you have to beat cortex secret level to get the key. I ve completed 3 times crash 1 with 100% and this the most difficult level
