Top 5 Hardest PSN Trophies I've Ever Earned. Some Took Me YEARS to Get.

I don't think any platinum should include online task especially a mainly single player game

I hate trophies where you have to repeat the game with different difficulties Edit: I didn't expect the comment to get that much likes and replies. Anyway my problem isn't with the difficulty it's repeating the game. (When i wrote this i didn't know you get all trophies if you play the hardest difficulty. Thanks for telling me that)

tbh i really hope in the future they add all multiplayer trophies as plus trophies, you have no idea how many plats i could had gotten if it wasn't for a game that had discontinued severs

A recent platinum I'm pretty proud of is Outlast 2. I had to finish the game on insane mode with 1 battery. Very tough. 0.1% rarity. Took me around 2 weeks just practicing levels separately. But damn was it satisfying once I got it!

My rarest Platinum (a 0.5%) was an absolute slog to get through. I had been attempting it off and on since 2011, with my last big attempt somewhere around 2014. Three months ago, though, I sat down and finally said, "I'm gonna do it." That 71% completion would not taunt me anymore...I had the drive, and I had the time (given I became unemployed at the time and was waiting on potential employers to call for a job interview). I pretty much played for a straight week to collect the rest of the trophies, the stragglers that were too tough and time-consuming for me in the past. Little by little, though, they popped. That percentage kept climbing... Until finally, FINALLY, that beautiful PS3 _PING_ sounded and it was music to my ears. Yes, I finally achieved the "Master of Simology" Platinum of The Sims 3. *STOP LAUGHING!!* I'm so damn proud of it, ya'll don't even know! This was nearly 8 years in the making and I deserve it!

You know when you accidentally get achievements or trophies

I wish Nintendo would add some kind of Trophy/Achievement system

The hardest trophy i my experience is 'personal decorator' from black ops 3. It was single player, but it was such a hell to complete because it was a big grind. It was kinda a nine part trophy, which required you te get every single camo for every single weapon by getting 650 kills with all weapons, finish the campaign on veteran difficulty ( 2 shots and you died), finish it on realistic difficulty (1 shot and you died), get 2000 kills total, finish training on realistic ( 16 waves of enemies, once again one hit and you die) , get every single collectable, get every single objective ( sertain things to do in a mission, like dont get hit or kills so much enemies), get all upgrades for your character and finish every mission on veteran difficulty without dying once ( 2 shots killed). I myself haven't got it yet, and for anyone who is going to try this one, you need a lot of skill and time to ever complete this

I don't even touch online trophies. I can do any grind or hard boss in Dark Souls - kind of trophy, and i love doing those. But multiplayer? Nope. Not gonna deal with that :D

Unreasonably difficult platinum trophies are not worth it.

Now that Fall Guys is out, I think one of the trophies is "get a 5 win streak". I've won one. I don't think that trophy is for me.

What I like about trophies is that they make gaming an exciting challenge and it's a rewarding experience to get difficult ones after weeks of practicing. My first play is really just to enjoy the game, the storyline and quality of the graphics. My re-plays aimed at Platinum is when I go after trophies and they really expand the breadth of your experience with the game. It's very exciting. I only have 11 Platinums. Technically, I'm looking at 18 as I've spent the last 4 months clearing online trophies for 7 games. I'm left with 4 games to clear online content before I can do all offline achievements. I agree with the sentiment in this comment section that they should just leave online trophies for DLCs.

Sometimes I sit back and realise I have trophies that less than one in a hundred people get. That's a great feeling.

Most difficult trophy I got was demon souls, intense grinding for one stupid upgrade rock, that is 0.1% drop rate.and world tendancy

My hardest one was on Minecraft, the secret trophy "How did we get here?" where you had to have every single potion effect on you.

Well, this Video is around one year old, but Here is my story; So I played the Wolfenstein-Triolgy - (The Old Blood, New Order and New Colossus.) And I got the platinum at New Order and The Old Blood (Very easy trophies), after finishing two of the games I decided to get the Platinum in The New Colossus - And that means to get the "mein leben"-Trophy - seriously it was the hardest trophy that I ever get - For those who don't know; The "Mein Leben"-Trophy forces you to beat the whole game with one live and on the hardest difficulty... I spended around 150 hours for this trophy...

Honestly, no Trophy support can be a deal breaker for me. I'm not always striving for 100% because of limited free time but I just love doing some extreme stuff and earn a digital trophy(literally) as a reward/proof.

Seeing Pain brought back some early PS3 memories. The theme tune is still fucking awesome

I finishes angry birds every map with 3 stars. Yeah... And I found every item or thing in the game.

GTA4 was my first platinum. Did AWP legit over a years time when there were actual leaderboards and trophy didn’t pop. Boosted a straight 14 hour game session for it to finally pop.

There’s a trophy on Persona 5 in which you had to read every book, and I missed one, so I had to re-play the game all over again. (The story is about 100 hours) But I love that game so it wasn’t that bad. One of the platinums I am more proud of

Demon's souls has to be the longest platinum grind i have ever had, in the entirety of my ps3 career i knew nothing of online guides or boosting, didn't have a bluetooth to talk to anyone & didn't have many friends outside of fighting, driving & shooting games. This one had a ridiculous learning experience, there was nothing that told you where to go or what to do, there were subtle hints at secret areas left by ethereal messages on the floor (didn't know they were from other players or that the game was even co-op), who to talk to & who to kill, how world tendency works, nothing. Without a guide, you don't legitimately learn about world tendency nor how to change it until your second playthrough, when your soul (you before you beat the game) inhabits one of the "dead" children at the top of the nexus, they only say one or two words (black, white, pure black, pure white or untainted). This directly affects the paths the player is able to take, the enemies you will be able to fight even the materials you're able to collect. Getting pure bladestone, the rings & the spells quickly became the bane of my existence as previously, it took multiple playthroughs to manipulate the world to how you wanted it to be. It took me until they changed the settings in an update to make it a single playthrough & the nexus girl fully explains world tendency to the player & how to manipulate it as well as how it affects you & the people in the nexus

Wipeout omega collection is my proudest trophy, I'm not a huge hunter, I have about 7 platinums, but Wipeouts is the only one with less than 5% completion let alone 0.4% and for that I'm pretty happy

For me, Twisted Metal on PS3. The online trophies were glitched so you had to be HOSTING every lobby - if you ever joined another player’s game, you needed to uninstall & start from scratch. The worst bit was that dev David Jaffa said Sony claimed the trophies weren’t glitched. Urgh.

I’m glad you mentioned Plants vs. Zombies - I have it for PS3. Although there’s no plat I’m only one trophy away from 100%, it’s sitting at 90 right now. It’s the ‘Alive and Planting’ trophy where you have to survive 40 waves on Endless. And it’s an absolute pain in the ass. Before today my record was 34 waves - tried twice today and got as far as 38 and 37 waves respectively. I’m still deciding if I want to try again soon or take another extended break.

My hardest trophies: THE ENTIRE LIST ON Overwatch. Still trying to get the harder ones like The Floor is Lava.

My hardest/longest was the Gran Turismo 5 platinum. Over 600 hours.

My hardest platinum is metal gear rising, thr vr challenges and every combat in the game without getting hit a single time, if they did hit you had to restart the fight, if you died you had to restart the entire level, also the dlc trophies were mad

Mine was more time taking than difficult, it’s the platinum of Skyrim That took me many hundreds of hours, Rage fact : I had all of the trophies except one to get the platinum, this trophy was : “Oblivion Walker” that requires you to collect 15 deadric artefacts but some of the quest can give you two artifacts instead of one but only one of them counts for the trophy, so I messed up and had to launch the game with a new character, that was raging but I was happy playing more Skyrim :)

Hardest multiplayer trophy for me was rapid discord - overwatch, godamn it was a struggle

I only have two platinums, one for completing Spider-man, and one for messing around in Job Simulator. I legit got a platinum BY ACCIDENT.

Probably the hardest trophy I’ve seen is “Scanproof” from watch dogs 1. In this trophy , you had to get the highest notoriety possible , and outrun dozens of police scans all at once. You could screw this up simply just by crashing , and you had to evade the police scans appearing erratically , and you had to get the highest notoriety in the first place (which takes a little bit to do.) this is literally the only watch dogs trophy I don’t have and it’s holding me back from that glorious platinum.

The Midnight Club LA trophies still haunt me to this day. Was so close to Platinum but I didn't do the online trophies and Rockstar shut down the servers on PS3 a few years ago. I wish I wish I wish. My point is, I did some really tough single player races for trophies on that game and didn't even try online (when I was 14/15years old) so fairplay for never giving up bro.

In the pursuit of Platinum Trophies of the Saints Row Series, the one in 2022 is still rough. Completing the Wingsuit challenges is a serious undertaking. Not only do you have to travel a distance of 10,000 FEET, but you must bounce off of pedestrians 6 TIMES IN UNDER 30 SECONDS! It's a serious commitment. If you're into pain, I recommend the series. They're incredible. And daunting...

MotoGP 09/10's "Champagne!" trophy took me about 8 years because of shitty servers, GRID Autosport's "I've stopped counting" because of reaching level 250 online is dull as hell, Gran Turismo 5's "Gold Standard". I remember I played one of the special challenges like over 100 times to gold it. I say GT5's platinum is the hardest one overall for me as it has one of the most insane, repetitive, tedious and unforgiving career modes of all time.

Anyone wana start a petition to force Sony to force every game developer to make multiplayer trophies separate from single player, unless its a online only game like just Warzone, then have no platinum or make all the trophies fairly easy for years down the line.

I'm convinced they don't test these trophies before releasing the game. There are so many glitched trophies that are happening across different titles and I hate the ones that require you to do things on a dead multiplayer server or just multiplayer in general.

LittleBigPlanet is my proudest platinum for sure. I got the platinum back when the servers were still online and thankfully, I proactively went back and got all the DLC trophies that require online at that time. I have recently gone back and gotten my completion to 100%. I earned my first ever trophy in that game and since I just wrapped up the 100% today, I kind of don't want to earn any trophies for a little while. There's something cool about seeing a game that I started over 12 years ago sitting right at the top of my list. My most recent kick has been getting all the online trophies in any PS3 games that I own that still have servers online. That way the option to get the platinum will remain open to me forever.

Still working on Outlast 2 and Dying light. Just need to complete the "Messiah/Insane run for Outlast 2 and get the Polyamory trophy for Dying Light. Yup. Just need one little trophy for the platinum! Have the same 3 players with me as I complete 5 quests. Nobody wants to stick around lol. Stupid but there it is.

Hardest platinum for me was probably Prototype 1 defeating final boss on extreme difficulty and also Street Fighter V getting to Gold League and also Street Fighter X Tekken defeating the survival mode.

I can't really do a top 5, but by far the hardest trophy I've ever gotten was Embrace the Void in Hollow Knight. Long story short, requires you to fight 42 bosses in a row. You die at the end? Too bad.

Destinys “Flawless Raider” was extremely hard.

I've been going for Deathloop trophies. Wooooo some of these are hard. Not as hard as some of the ones you're talking about, not even close. But I finally got "ghost at the feast" and now I'm going for "clean-ish hands" which is only kill visionaries and no one else, a perfect loop. This morning is the worst, I think to get that done.

Max Pyane 3 The Shadows Rushed Me trophy. Not necessarily hard for me (took me about 7 tries,) but it's the reason Max Payne 3 is one of the rarest platinums. Beat the entire game, in one sitting, without dying, starting with a countdown of one minute which gradually increase by five to ten seconds depending on your execution, body kill 5 seconds added, headshot 6 seconds, explosive 10 seconds, for mandatory scripted bulletime kills 3 seconds added. I finished with around 10 minutes on the timer. and my run took me almost 4 hours.

Try to complete Darksouls 3 with all achievements... Now that's hard.👌

The hardest platinum trophy for me was the telltale game of thrones series. It took me 100s of hours to complete, but in the end, it makes me a true gamer.
