Top 5 Highlights from our Lifestyle Visit to The Villages 

Yes, I love the laundry room..it makes laundry day so easy. We use it as an extra pantry and storage area for big serving dishes. My husband put up some gorgeous shelving units and I got about 6 big black wicker storage boxes..looks great. We also use that side room as an office and it works perfect. Again, you will love that master bath. We got a wonderful big storage unit from Ikea that fits perfectly between the WC and the shower and holds all our 'stuff'. Also, my husband tripled the hanging rods in the closet..I've got a few too many clothes!! We've been there 2 years and they were building in St. Catherine when we bought. We didn't know anything about Sawgrass but can't believe our amazing luck to be within walking distance of the square! We were overseas as well all during the 90's, but this place is heaven!!!

That floor plan, as you described, has so many advantages. My wife really likes the laundry room with the extra counter space for a coffee/wine bar. One advantage that we see is using the smaller bedroom as an office that can be separated in the house when we have company. @@thevillagesnatives3491 We bought in St. Catherine 2 years ago and can't believe our good luck to be within walking distance of Sawgrass..it's amazing! I replyed on my phone, but not sure if it went through, so will write it all again...lol. We love the laundry room, my husband built some wonderful shelving units for me and I got some black wicker baskets for all our extra little odds and ends. We use the small bedroom for an office and it works perfectly. Also, again, you will love the Master bath...we got a huge storage unit with mirrored doors from Idea for all our stuff and it fits right between the WC and the shower. My husband tripled the hanging storage in the master closet..I've got way too many clothes. We were overseas all during the 90's, but living in The Villages is heaven for usj...good luck!!

Good morning and thanks so much for watching our video and your very kind comments; and yes, I think my wife is beautiful as well. We have not purchased yet; the floor plan (Arlington) that we showed was the model that we stayed in on our lifestyle visit. The video walk through that was from an Aspen model and the still pictures toward the end were from an Ottawa. The model that we plan to buy is the Ottawa; we will share more on this and our house decision making process in a video that we plan to record today. The trolley tour is now only in the southern region south of SR 44. Their main focus is to sell new homes so that is where the building is happening now. We love Nashville and hope to meet you next year in The Villages! We are retiring and relocating in 2024 as well and we know that you all will find a great place. There are many great places up in the northern sections and the shopping and amenities are awesome there. The Villages Chief (RU-vid Channel) has some great videos of his purchase, updating and life in his home near Spanish Springs. We are focused on being south of SR 44 and we like Richmond, DeLuna, Bradford, Saint Catharine and Chitty Chatty primarily but open to the right house in that general area. The representative never stipulated that we had to begin any specific day. I believe that the major factor is availability. Thanks so much for watching. We did visit the area where they are currently building and selling new homes, and it is on the east side and a bit removed. Not sure what plans TV has for the area just south of Dabney, across CR470, but they do own the land. One thing is for sure, when you buy new in TV you are usually on the growing edge of development and often amenities can lag a bit. Our focus is primarily preowned, which we will get into in our next video, so not that much concern for us. Are you planning to move to TV or do you currently live there? Thanks again,

@@thevillagesnatives3491 I did live near the new development. Amenities on the south side will more than lag. they won't exist for the most part. the developer designated all most all the land for houses and almost nothing for stores and shops!

Thanks so much for watching and your great questions! We can tell that you really listened. We will briefly describe our process and hopefully it will all make a little more sense. We have been visiting TV for years when on leave while in the Army because our home is in Leesburg. I retired from the Army in September 2021 and we spent about 2 months at TV at that time. That is when we originally met our 2 sales agents and began a relationship with them. This was in full knowledge that we would be moving to that area in 2-3 years. At that time we also looked at other 55+ Communities. In October 2021 I began a job as a contractor on Eglin AFB in NW Florida and I have limited days of Paid Time Off; not ideal but I tolerate it for now, hence why we only stayed 4 days rather than 7. As we stated in the video, this visit was to confirm our direction and it did so. It is pretty common to have a long term relationship with a real estate agent like this when you are planning a transition to TV. Our timeline, which our agents are fully aware of, is to begin actual house hunting 1 March 2024. We will reengage with them early next year and make final preparation to locate our new home and make the purchase. @@jonquick127Jerry and Linda are not paid by The villages. The Villages doesn’t pay any RU-vidrs. In fact they inform RU-vidrs if they don’t like their channel name, and several RU-vidrs had to change their name so they wouldn’t get sued.
