Thanks for the review. I’d be visiting Nigeria from Texas to meet my girlfriend. She’s from Enugu and this would be our first time meeting each other. I’m really excited, we’ve been dating for over 5 months and last week, I decided to book my flight to come visit. Really looking forward to it and at the same time, learning more about the Igbo culture! Dalu!
Yes, I’m finding the culture very exciting. I wish I could learn a lot, especially the language as fast as I want to. Overall, I’m excited and I really can’t wait. I appreciate the kind words. Most Nigerians I’ve met here are very nice and really hardworking.
Good job . Maybe less talking next time and more visuals. It would be more interesting to see the true beauty of these places just like how tayo aina shows us different locations
Nice one . But i think Bon hotel sunshine need to be in the list. Oakland too. Can you make top 10 hotels and possibly Affordable hotels between N8000 and N15000 and yet very classy. Nice one chief Vera. I hope to join you in one of your episodes. Enugu Amaka.
Chai I miss Nza street fish ohh. Can’t wait to have it again. Definitely heard good things about best western but never visited it in Enugu funny enough. Yeah Nike lake has always been a different and nice area for occasions
After this pandemic i am coming to Nigeria God willing i ill look into seeing some of the hotels you listed here. Thank you so much for this honest review.
Nice and informative video. But if one should think of the standard of living in Enugu and the price, Is too expensive. Anyway thanks for the info. If possible do make another video with prices below 20k.
Nice content, the hotels are all good,my own hotel will be number one, I'm still building it with my imagination, very soon I will bring it out fiscally.Emaco hotel. hahaha
I think Carlton Swiss Grand Hotel should be number 2. I've stayed there and it's much better than all these ones you mentioned. It's located at Nza Street and shares a fence with Best Western.
Do visit Best Choice Hotel and Suites, golf estate, its the newest most international standard boutique hotel in the whole of southeast now and not just in Enugu. Check it out and you won't believe there is such hotel with classy standard
I've only stayed in Maxbe Hotel and the rooms are really nice but I'm really not impressed with hotels with small compounds and that lack olympic size swimming pools. You can't have an infrastructure that big and have a bat tub as a swimming pool. They could have done better with the exterior of the hotel.
Congratulations Chief Vera on the exposè of top 5 hotel destinations in Enugu. I want to make a correction before my comment, the Nike Lake Resort Hotel was built by Chief Jim Nwobodo when he was governor of old Anambra State between 1979 and 1983. So the hotel has been there before the 90s contrary to your assertion that it was built in the 90s. My main concern here is that a lot of people in the South East still see hotel as where people just go and "have fun," "chill" or "hangout" with the opposite sex. Hotel business is a serious business that is much more than that. Hotel business business is a serious part of the corporate business today. Why is it that most corporate organisations prefer to hold their AGMs and staff trainings in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt or Calabar to the neglect of the South East? It is because investors in the hospitality industry in the South east make no provision for such things as ideal Conference halls/training centres with requisite ICT faculties. If the government is serious about generating revenue internally in the states it should be in the forefront in encouraging private investors in this regard. A corporate organisation doesn't have to be located in Enugu to have it's AGM or train it's staff in Enugu. Finally, I was at Enugu in the mid and late 80s until I left in 1990. The number one hotel in Enugu then was the Presidential Hotel while Nike lake was no. 2. It is not good news to many of us that what used to be No 1 hotel in the city is no longer on the radar while what used to be no. 2 is now no.1. The authorities in charge should note this. The Presidential Hotel in Port Harcourt is still working. The Premier hotel Ibadan is still operational. They belong to the same generation.
Thank you, correction duly noted. Your points are very valid. Hospitality is a huge industry and yes, some folks here downplay it to just sleeping and drinking. Hopefully, they take full charge of it and make the best out of it.
I am cueing to watch all your videos because the 5 I have watched so far were done professionally. Your presentations are so clear that most anyone who speaks English from anywhere can understand you. I don't know how long it will take me to watch all your uploads, but I will surely get to them all. I am watching from Dallas Texas. I left Enugu in 1979 and I can hardly recognize any of the places and areas you feature. I am all excited to sit, watch and listen to your calming voice. Daluoo, deje, odikwa oyi!
@@Chiefvera Greetings from Boston, Massachusetts. Been away for quite sometime and planning on visiting to explore the area for relocation. I've always had Enugu on my mind. Thanks for the incite and keep up the good work
Not totally run down. They renovate it as at when due. Then consider longevity and their client retention plus other incentive they offer, that these other hotels do not have
I love this guy's analysis. .when he said he gave them 4stars in services bc they still have Nigerians working there . chief Vera I hope this hotels paid you for this advert.you have over 5k subscribers so don't just advertise free for them. Enugu now have nice hotels and this prices are affordable compared to what people pay in dubai. Let us start patronising our own. I must come to enugu whenever am back. Serene and peaceful indeed.
