Hi Wes? Can you do a video on how TTS shaped the wider 40k community? (Eg the Fabulous Custodes, SKARBRAND yelling in third person, Vulkan being Jamaican, Kaldor Draigo being a complete loon)
Wes there appears to be a channel sending messages to random people saying it’s you giving away stuff I had the same channel contact me twice on this through my comments though looks like the messages got deleted though. I can’t even access the channels profile I only have the channel name because it notified me 20 minutes ago. Make sure it’s not contacting other people.
The idea of the god emperor of man being a demon in Disguise is truly terrifying if you really wanted to he could order every single one of the quintillions of humans across the Galaxy to sacrifice themselves to the Eternal throne and we might have another being like Slaanesh our hands
seems like a stupid theory. Isnt it basically confirmed that the Emperor is about to become a Warp Deity, because of all the Prayers hes gotten since the Heresy ?
Bad idea to sacrifice all humans all at once when they'll replace themselves every century or less with new ones for free. Like using nuclear fuel in a bomb instead of a generator. Total waste of food!
Two other theories regarding the Emperor and The Golden Throne 1) the Emperor is dead, it is Horace on the throne 2) the Ecclesiarchy imprisoned the Emperor on The Golden Throne before he could heal his injuries because they knew he was displeased with them and their corruption and was going to get rid of them
Horus wasn’t a potent Psyker, at all. Also Guilliman spoke to the Emperor, so did Alicia Dominica, and the chaos gods are still fighting the “Anathema” which is known to be the emperor.
Your lore videos are always amazing. Idk why but I find your voice so satisfying and really wish there was a 10hr lore video going fully in dept with every main faction in the Grim Dark Future. Keep it up bro, amazing as always
New conspiracy theory: The Old Ones became the Tyranids - they broke the warp (much like an octopus releases ink) as they fled the galaxy finished their attempts to become and create the “ultimate life form” and are now returning for revenge on their children and enemies.
For the men of iron corrupted by chaos theory, I prefer the idea that humanity discovered chaos and then ordered them to get rid of it, then, in their attempt to do so, they began to purge the source of chaos.
Honestly, the Emperor theories (he wanted to be a god, he is a daemon, etc.) make a lot of sense to me. He sure fails to see obvious outcomes and makes catastrophically bad decisions way more often than you would expect someone who is unfathomably intelligent and has the gift of foresight.
The old one lore is always contradicting to each other. If they do have the knowledge of life, why don't they just give the cure for the necrontyr but didn't give them the immortality?
I always thought the chaos god of order idea was quite nonsensical, considering chaos and order are polar opposite concepts. A god of order maybe. A chaos god maybe. A chaos god of order...stupidest shit I've ever heard.
Some say That time waits for no man, unless that man is Sly Marbo. When the God Emperor of Mankind said ''Let there be light'', Sly Marbo said ''Say please.'' Sly Marbo's Tears can cure Nurgle plagues, too bad he has never cried. Sly Marbo does not sleep. He waits. Sly Marbo once shot down a Tau Manta with his finger by yelling, ''Bang!'' Sly Marbo counted to infinity...twice. Xeno armies are the breakfast of Sly Marbo. Sly Marbo does not hunt because the word hunt implies possible failure. Sly Marbo goes killing. Sly Marbo never retreats, he just attacks in the opposite direction. Sly Marbo once had a heart attack. His heart lost. When Sly Marbo does a push up, he pushes the planet down. Sly Marbo does not take showers, he takes blood baths. Sly Marbo does not breathe he holds the air hostage. Abaddon owns a pair of Sly Marbo undies. Khorne has nightmares about Sly Marbo walking into chaos and saying, ''Your in my chair'' Nurgle was exposed to Sly Marbo. Nurgle is now in quarantine for a month. Sly Marbo taught Tzeentch how to change their ways Sly Marbo had a hawt minute with Slaanesh, it would have been longer but the Lord of excess said, ''No more'' :P LOL
Counterpoint: Sly Marbo was a perpetual, and is now a Living Saint. The belief in his abilities further enhanced his trained skills to supernatural heights. The more he achieved, the more people believed, the more deadly he became, thus the more he achieved and so on. He is every boastful story told to boost morale, every whispered horror story, the only person capable of taking on a full platoon of Movie Marines and living to tell the tale.
It's also likely that Marbo has, if not the same, then a functionally very similar to Rogal Dorn in that he can repel the Warp around him out of sheer fucking will.
Well, the Men of Iron being corrupted by Chaos is something that was seen in Gaunt's Ghosts, when he finds a functioning STC that produces Men of Iron that has, in fact, been corrupted by Chaos. Gaunt takes out the STC and a Radical Inquisitor in the process. This is all in First and Only. So, it is canon that at least SOME Men of Iron were corrupted by Chaos.
I got one better, the Humanities AI's especially the ones in the STC's. Became so advanced that they could see into time self and all possible futures. The essentially became Gods of the Materium like the C'Tan in their own way. Knowing what was coming and fulfilling their Prime Directives to protect Humanity. Have orchestrated everything we see in 40k, some even argue the EoM and the other Perpetuals were created by AI's/STC AI's. Like predicting the birth of Slannesh/Birth of the Eye of Terror, the fall of the Eldar, possibly even a version of Cybernetic revolt, the Age of Strife, the Horus Hersey, the Tyranids, the rise of Chaos/Great Rift. So its was they and not the EoM who has been master mind behind Mankind's destiny this whole time. The EoM is just one more piece in their grand plan.
Is it cheating if my favorite little conspiracy is one I thought up myself? I had the idea that Sly Marbo, doesn't actually exist, he's a fictional character within the universe of Warhammer 40K, and all the stories about him are the in-universe equivalent of Rambo movies and/or propaganda made by the Imperium to get people hype for the guard.
I have a theory that the Emperor would reincarnate if he died, and that putting him on the throne prevents him from doing so, which prevents him from leading humanity directly, leading to the predicament that humanity finds itself in. And that, because the Emperor had never died before, even he doesn't know of his reincarnation abilities.
My favourite theories are that the Astarion Malac, the Chapter Master of the minotaurs chapter is actually Alpharus (or maybe Omegon) given his insane history, abilities, skills, and the fact he and a Custodes dueled at one point and the Custode straight up feared he might lose in a 1v1. The second theory I love is that the Men of Iron were able to calculate the existence of Chaos, and, instead of being corrupted, decided to kill all humanity and eventually all life, to stop chaos. The 3ed favourite is The Emperor planned nothing. Like straight up. He had no idea. And his intention was always to die against Horus, taking him with him, and seeing either the most noble and loyal Primarchs lead the Imperium, or even see them all die and let humanity lead itself. Instead, Dorn puts his father on the throne to keep him alive against his wishes. Not cause he wants to revive, but to “die” according to humanity, and let humanity rule itself
Astarion Malac was something I considered before I read Alpharius: Head of the Hydra. After reading that, it doesn't fit Alpharius or Omegon at all. I believe that Cypher is Alpharius to be honest. The way Cypher just manages to disappear and reappear across the galaxy, always is manipulating forces into doing what he wants, and escaped Custodes from the cells in the palace in like 30 minutes.
Maybe Malcador was a manifestation of The Emperor and as Big E was on his way out he could no longer sustain Malcador so that's why he Thanosed out when he got off the throne...
Another less known theory, is that the Tyranids and their Hive Mind are either the creation of, or the Old Ones themselves, returned. There's a subtle hint in the 5th edition Tyranid codex, where one of the race's pseudonyms is "the Penance of the Old Gods". Think about it. The Old Ones were an all-powerful race of immortal, psychic demigods who ruled the Milky Way galaxy eons before the rise of the other races. They created the Eldar and the Krork (the Ork's precursors) as weapons to help fight against the Necrontyr and their C'tan masters during the War in Heaven. After they lost the fight to the C'tan, and the emergence of the Enslaver Plague, they simply disappeared. Nowhere is it specifically stated that they went extinct, more like that they abandoned the galaxy. And nowhere does it state that they were a benevolent race. This being 40k, one could argue that they dabbled in creating new life forms irrespective of the danger they might pose. Both the Eldar and the Orks are flawed creations, made flesh simply as a last ditched effort in spawning weapons capable of using the tremendous nascent forces of the Warp in order to defeat the C'tan. The Eldar's flaw being that despite their wisdom and mastery over psychic power, they were creatures slaved more to their emotion than to their intellect and reason. And we all know what this lead to. Meanwhile the Orks have even MORE psychic potential than the Eldar, but not even a fraction of their control over it, yet they are the most successful survivors in the galaxy. So the Elder Ones definitely have the power to create new lifeforms, and are beings who operate on cold-blooded logic and reason, with the power to shape worlds and races. If they reason they could create another survivor race of warrior creatures with complete immunity to Warp corruption, in order to wipe the Milky Way galaxy of life so the C'tan and the Chaos Gods would be starved of sustenance and they could return to a wiped slate to start over, there is no reason why they wouldn't just go for it. In short, the Tyranids could be either another of the Old Ones' creations (under their direct control - or successful rebels who finally wiped them out) or the Old Ones themselves, voluntarily mutated into an apex superorganism - the pinnacle of evolution, returned with a vengeance to "fix" their past mistakes by assimilating every living thing in the galaxy.
Not to mention that Tyranids are intentionally meant to look like dinosaurs, not bugs (they have *far* more physiological similarities to reptiles), and are very much the analogue to Lizardmen of Old-World Warhammer. Wes also neglects that the Old Ones existed as much in physical reality as they did in the warp since they come from a time when the warp and physical reality had not become distinct from one another.
@@luca-ou8pv And also two other major science fiction book series, one of which... get this... is called "Ring World." The Halo universe, just like 40k, is built out of tropes, imitations/parody, and homage to the greats... which makes sense, because for entertainment, you want familiar things to draw in your audience... it's not like either IP was a direct adaptation of existing lore, so they lean on established themes to get this done. Just look at WarCraft and StarCraft... they became so popular for a while people thought Warhammer/40k video games were ripping *them* off... lol
'You, machine. What would be the most logistical way to kill this.. Chaos?' The machine was silent, save the cogs and gears that allowed it movement. It stood silent still, the noise of gears now growing louder. 'The death of chaos.. must be preceded by the death of humanity.' 'What? Blasphemy! What has happened to your AI?-' The revving of a gun had passed in seconds, and so too had the one who spoke before. 'A start.. to the end..'
I mean, Sly Marbo being a perpetual makes sense, given that he's based his whole vibe off of 80's action heroes. Dude saw Predator and Rambo and was like "Yep, this is now my thing"
Agreed! I think we will see some version of this very soon as the Heresy novels close. The biggest point to me about this is that the Emperor found it hard to kill his son, Horus, because of love? He had years to sort out that Horus was a traitor, years on the Golden Throne and fighting in the web way. The Emp knew that Horus was gone.... But if you told me the Emperor hesitated in fighting his beloved son Sanguinius, that is something I could believe for sure.
As Lovely as this all sounds just no . Games workshop knows better than to let Horus Champion of Chaos favorite son of the Emperor die to the already battered Sanguineous.
I like the idea that the emperor killed sanguinius as much as horus did, because sanguinius always represented the hope of the imperium, and emperor killing him shows that yes the emperor also sentenced his imperium to its fate
It’s in the Grey Knights omnibus if I recall correctly. Third book maybe? Also, Luetin did a video that touches on it. I think it’s the STC video. Even if it’s not in there you should watch it. It’s one of his best.
My favorite theory is that it was Sanguinius who kills Horus and wounds the Emperor, and then the Big E had to put Sanguinius down. As it does have some evidence to back it up. 1st. Sanguinius was one of the greatest Primarchs, Russ didn't think he could beat him (but did think and almost did kill Horus), Guilliman made him the emperor of Imperium Secundus, and even Horus thought that he should have been Warmaster. Mostly fluff stuff, but just shows how highly his brothers thought of him. 2nd. Horus sent him to Signus to die, so that he wouldn't have to face him. And got so pissed at Erebus for changing the plan (trying to corrupt him instead) that he flayed him. 3rd. When Sanguinius saw the future and his death at the hands of Horus, he kept replaying it over and over Dr Strange style to see if there was an outcome where he would win...and there was...if he let his rage consume him. Which was the start of the black rage. 4th. It makes no sense why the Big E would hesitate before killing Horus. We know he only saw his sons as tools, and during the build up to the sige of Terra, the Big E basically tells Horus that he's going to kill him. It makes more sense that he would hesitate to kill Sanguinius, a loyal son. 5th. We know that Sanguinius' soul is shattered. This may have been as a result of Horus killing him, or the Big E trying to rid him of the black rage. Side note - If anything further to this has come out in the new Siege of Terra book, no spoliers please as I've yet to read it 😊
In darkness in the blood of pretty much shows that the primarchs souls may likely use properties of older warp entities who were born before mankind even existed as baal has 2 angles fighting over it and each civilization before man was influenced by then my head cannon that emps used these entities in Sanguinious making him the noble but very bloodthirsty animal he could have became
@@Tommybotham When Mephiston was being converted into a Primaris Space Marine. He saw the Sanguinor, the Black Angel and then Sanguinius appeared, and told him to absorb the Black angel. While the Sanguinor is debatable on if it's Sanguinius or not, it sounds like it is as every time one of the Blood Angels (or a successor) saves the life of an innocent, the Sanguinor grows stronger. Which links to it being the noble side of Sanguinius. And the Black Angel is the rage side as every time one of them succumbs to the Black Rage, the Black Angel grows stronger.
To then last theory on Old One’s being warp entities: would make sense why the Necrons created the pylons to repel and keep the warp in check. Very interesting theory. Thanks for creating this video.
What shocks me most is that you didn’t talk about the Primarchs are minor warp gods theory, I mean there’s a good amount of lore backing it, most notably the Blood Angels having the angels of the warp as well as Corvus turning into a warp entity and that one hint at an Alpha Legion god at the end of Shroud of Night
Aren’t the Old Ones said to have created or uplifted countless species during the War in Heaven? I always thought that the Orks and Aeldari just ended up being the most successful after the disappearance of the Old Ones, and were some of the only ones that survived to the 50th Millenium.
As I understand it some lore depicts the Eldar and Krork being specifically created as psychic warriors to fight the C'tan and Necrons. The Krork were specialised for direct combat and the Eldar were for leveraging the Warp directly, particularly by creating gods, there's at least one account of Khaine directly fighting the Nightbringer. The Old Ones seem to have created multiple life forms, but the Eldar and Krork were specifically made as weapons.
The comment about Hruds coming to the peaceful time is logical. The tech priest does not know that the HH is about to kick off. Hence the comment. Humans live linearly.
The Emperor is actually an anti-chaos weapon created during the latter years of the Golden/Dark Age of Technology. The Emperor did not defeat the Void Dragon, but struck a deal. The Emperor engineered the Horus Heresy to play chaos against itself.
@@satouchiha1825 One of the people who was executed shortly after the Terran Unification War said tight before the custodes killed her was that the Emperor was a weapon that was let out of its box and was left rudderless and adrift. Of course she may have been simply saying anything in the hopes to belay her execution.
@@satouchiha1825 She was more than just a random woman, she was one of the leaders of a nation-state who initially supported the Emperor, but towards the end of the Unification War began to speak out against him. At the end of the Unification War, the Emperor exterminated anyone who was no longer any use to him. There's a clear comparison between the God Emperor of Mankind and the Roman Emperor Augustus Caesar. As far as showing the person his history before writing existed, he could have been lying. There's as much that he's a 58,000_ year old perpetual with a gestalt soul as there is for him for him being a 20,000 year old anti-chaos weapon or him being created in an experiment on the Golden Throne by the Sigilites. I like the idea that he's a rogue daot weapon as much as he's an ancient, prehistoric perpetual psyker. I hope they never give a definitive origin for the Emperor as it will remove much of the mystique surrounding him.
So there is wh40k magic the gathering cards now. They did bel'akor, because of that I'm gonna say this. Bel'akor and Kaldor Draigo are the only 2 characters strongly implied or otherwise to be in both Warhammer Fantasy And 40k , so they are planeswalkers. They are the only likely candidates for planeswalker status in Warhammer.
Is it possible the Alpha legion has 3 primarchs after all they have 3 heads. Beginning- Alpharius End-Omegon Middle-sigmus? Deltarus? It could be possible that this 3rd primarch is acting as alpharius or omegon to enact the true goals of the legion.
I've always pondered if the Emperor was repressing parts of himself/psychic energies that later became the gods of Chaos through inner psychosis. Since the Gods of Chaos are timeless the moment they existed they existed in all time.
The only problem with that is, the Necrons only discovered humanity recently according to the lore. That and, the Necrons also only started awakening recently because their tomb worlds started to become discovered and disturbed. However, I will admit that it is unclear where exactly The Silent King of the Necrons sailed off to. Sure, he left for about 60 million years, give or take a couple millennia, but it was mostly somewhat unclear as to where he went. One theory suggests he created and let loose the Tyranids, while also seemingly disappearing into the void of space. Of course the Tyranids theory is more on the speculation side of things, given that by this time the Necrons becoming living metal and wanting nothing more than to end all organic life in the known galaxy really wouldn't fit in with what a Necron Overlord would want or embrace. I will Conclude that, you're theory does have a slight chance of potential possibility given that TSK might have gone to Earth around the DAoT, but his presence near or in obrit of their planet would have been recorded. Of course the records of such a thing might have been lost. 😮
Not all the Necrons went to sleep for 60 million years. A few of them didn't sleep the most famous one was Trazyn. So any of the Necrons that didn't sleep could have mess around with the men of Iron or artefact of the necrons.
Some of my favorite old theories were ones like Sigmar was one of the two lost primarchs and the T'au ethereals were manifestations of the Emperor's will and that their expansions and Greater Good mantra are a do over of the Great Crusade with a fresh new species
I've thought about this before and my head canon is he's a lost triplet for Alpharius and Omegon. Alpha - beginning, Omega - end, Sigmar - "hidden" but present. Note the hydra has three heads.
I don’t believe the emperor is physically alive. I believe his souls is bound to the warp (for now) and the many daily sacrifices gives him strength to keep the warp at bay, much like sacrifices would empower a chaos god. Ironic that he never wanted to be worshipped as a god and yet he then becomes one. He uses his corpse as a conduit to channel his power as even though basically a husk now, still is the only being powerful enough to sit on that throne. Pretty sure he’s waiting for Belisarius to make a perfect physical clone of him which he will then jump his soul into
The Emperor is a perpetual and so even if he did "die" he would be reincarnated anyway. And the throne is just a giant life support system that also amplifies your psychic power, anyone could sit on it.
@@thecommentguy9380 he’s an unfathomably strong psycher, he wouldn’t just be able to drop into anyones body. That’s why I think it’s bound to the warp rather than the corpse on the throne - it would better explain how he’s able to effect people from many worlds away. He’s not able to regenerate that body, it’s too far gone but I think he knew belesarius would be the key to him occupying a perfectly cloned body strong enough to hold his soul. After all, belesarius himself recalled a memory from the soul merge with sedayne where the emperor referred to sedayne as ‘belisarius’, implying the emperor knew what would happen and that belisarius would be the dominant persona. With that kind of ability, it’s not much of a leap to assume he left that memory for belisarius deliberately.
Oh yes, I can't recommend the Grey Knights Omnibus enough... and the Castigator is so cool... the author did and awesome job of making you feel like, "How is Alaric gonna beat that!!?"
@@weshammer Agreed, and those particle based "light demons" were actually kind of terrifying as well... Bro, you could do a whole episode on the weird baddies in that book... all the way to Venalitor and Ebondrake... plenty of ridiculous content, the second half reminds me of War Hammer Fantasy but with 40K characters...
The current Cypher is Alpharius. Cypher escaped in like 30 minutes from the Custodians in the cells beneath the palace in like 30 mins? Okay, IF we just say that Cypher is super big badass Dark Angel that had knowledge of the palace. IF we just say that a Dark Angel is all subterfuge like James Bond. IF we just say that Dark Angels are suddenly capable of impossible tasks because, uhhhh reasons and stuff... Even that does not explain escaping the Custodians. There is NO WAY a Dark Angel could know the palace (especially the cells) or escape from Custodians and leave Terra. But Alpharius could do all this, and more. Alpharius knew the cells, was there when they were built. Alpharius could walk by the Custodians. Alpharius could stand before Guilleman and not be noticed. It was Omegon whom Dorn spotted on 2 occasions and killed. Alpharius and Omegon both had that power but Alpharius had it honed to razors edge by Malcador. That is why Alpharius could go unnoticed by pretty much anyone, even the most powerful of psychers. This alone is enough for me to believe that Cypher is Alpharius. But Cypher being Alpharius clears up a ton of random stuff about Cyphers adventures and abilities. Also, Alpharius is loyal, a loyalist primarch without a Legion.
My theory: the webway conduits are made of wrathbone. The elder could fix a lot of the galaxy's problems by repairing it, but are too proud to get their collective act together.
To be fair to the Eldar, what remains of thier massive empire are are few craftworld colony ships alongside thier fleets and a few maiden planets they colonised around the fall. Those fleets oppose each other at times, but even if they banded together I bet they would number less than 0.01% of thier pre fall population. For some reason(probs murder fucking a god into existance), Big E refused to work with aliens so as far as we know he didn't ever try and work with them, though Eldrad tried to contact him so who knows perhaps the Eldars master plan will separate the Emperors perpetual body from the god form in the warp and form thier prophesied god of death (or rebirth). Thus causing a rebirth of the Eldar with perhaps a union with humanity to repair and utilise the webway.... Just as planned.
@@ninjabaiano6092 Especially not when you have to defend against a non-stop daemon incursion in most of the network to repair it and evict the Drukhari from the stable sections.. since they are the Eldar who still live in the webways.

I think my favorite WH40K conspiracy is that when Horus confronted the Emperor in front of Sanguineous the Emperor admitted his plan to use humanity to make himself a god. Then Horus and Sanguineous attacked him together and the Emperor slew Sanguineous and crippled Horus. He then placed Horus on the Golden Throne to act as the Astronomicon as the Emperor hid away to grow in power from the shadows.
Dorn carried the emperor to the golden throne and Guilliman spoke to the emperor at the golden throne, it wouldn’t make sense. Also Horus wasn’t a psyker like Magnus or the Emperor.
@@danitron4096 I never said it was a good conspiracy theory lol. It's just an interesting take on the legend of the golden throne. Anything involving the Emperor is kind of suspect just due to his godlike ability to warp people's perception of him. Even the Primarchs couldn't describe what he looked like.
My favourite theory is that the daemon that corrupted Fulgrim was in fact the daemon Fulgrim from the future. If time is meant to lose all meaning in the warp then this would be possible; also the Laer bore a striking resemblance to daemon Fulgrim' s rape-snake form.. also the whole self fulfilling prophecy is just how chaos likes it and a being as vain and self absorbed as Fulgrim would love nothing more than to take playing with oneself to a whole nother level.
Theory: While the Eldar are creations of the old ones humans are creations of the Necrons/Ctan as there were a few individuals that did not sleep and could have possibly influenced the pariah gene to turn humans into a successor race using bio transference to ascend a new race that if things went according to plan an entire army that could overpower warp related abilities which would be an interesting concept. Also the possible return of necron pariahs is cool.
Humans and Tau being created/having some relation to necrons is a cool theory that kinda makes sense. Humans are the only race we know of who can be blanks (except for like Solitaires but they're wierd) and the necrons would love blanks + ancient Egypt could be influenced by Necrons. And the Tau share a lot of similarities with the Necrontyr, short life span, weak souls, great with technology.
I like that one too but the problem with it is that the Tyranids get absolutely bodied by Necrons, so why would the old ones make something weak to their enemies?
My personal kinda crazy fan theory is that the Emperor was the last and pinnacle of the Men of Gold. Also because he was created around M25 just after the Eye opened and his soul is made up of an immeasurable number of Eldar souls seeking to escape She Who Thirsts like the story of the shamans on old earth say created the Emperor.
@@thecommentguy9380 I don't know if that is true. All the legends about him being around since prehistory don't seem to be backed up by him doing anything. Unless there is something official stating 'he did this in this year' all the legends sound like propaganda to me. Please point to something that states in certain terms when he first came into being.
@@norrislaw1983 not necessarily what you're asking for but him placing the Void Dragon in Mars happened in the medieval ages. Though like everything from before 30k how true it is isn't known.
Legit had a thought about the emperor one today at work, because if warp creatures don't deal with time linearly. Dose that mean there is a form of him thats already ascended past his mortal body and form so he can act on time any where even where he already exists in time manipulating things but his normal mortal from cant even register its himself from a future state due to how much he changed
I may have misunderstood, but the C'tan are basically the warp daemons of the material realm. But, considering the affects that Psychers/warp daemons have on the material realm by channeling the warp, what would happen if a C'tan was sent into the warp? Would it bring a similar corruption to the warp by channeling the material? Would demons or warp entities mind be suddenly or slowly altered to fit that of common material entities, such as emotional connections? Ignoring the Orks, the Necron's are one of the least friendly races, but even in their current state, they hold the value of their race above other races, their caste/faction in their own race over other castes/factions, and even individuals in their races above others of their own race. Would material corrupted demons slowly/suddenly emotional connections to other demons, or something material entities have that warp entities don't?
If a C'tan was sent into the warp then they will most likely be attacked as soon as they entered. They absolutely hate the warp they don't really have any natural defenses against it. They would have an effect on the warp like any living creature they are also beings of pure energy so that will help them for a little bit until the Chaos gods arrive.
In the time of the old ones the warp was nice. Super sick even. But the turmoil brought on by the war in heaven, Eldar (and others) dying in extreme emotions of battle lust, despair, and hope the warp was essentially ruined. The war caused the warp to suck, not the old ones. It's even in (psuedo) lore stated that the enslavers were the last nail in the coffin for the old ones.

My head canon for the tyranids are they were a passive insectoid race. They were mainly relying on sunlight and basic farming. But one day, an asteroid containing orks spores crashed on one of their planets. They fought the orks off in a brutal war. Now, they want to kill off all the orks in the universe. Even traveling across galaxies to make sure that happens. That or the orks are super yummy and drove the tyranids to an insaisissable hunger. Hahaha That would explain how a living creature, with the ability to grow any type of organism, not to use solar energy for food instead of eating any living thing in the universe. They mixed orks into their genetics. Orks psychic link turned into the hive mind. The orks' warlike nature turned into a ever-hungry beasts.
I do always question that Psychic powers were part of the Emperors plan for Humanity, and he knew about the Warp and Demons but now the Imperium consumes all of Humanities Psykers and prevents them from reproducing "in fear" of the Warp.
That's one reason why the Emperor's a Daemon theory holds so much weight. Daemons eat souls, and psykers are particularly potent souls. Daemons also help sell the need for the 'God" Emperor.. making a worship power source. He basically farmed psykers in the human population to ensure a steady supply of food and worship.
After watching this and the history of 40k video, I have a new conspiracy theory. The Men of Iron didn't rebel, but instead realized the threat that psykers presented to themselves and humanity and took steps to reduced the rate at which psykers would be born. They also did not tell humans about this threat as psykers were rare and rumor, thus humans would likely think that the AIs were going insane and needed to be wiped or shut down regardless.
What if Horus only managed to shatter sanguinius so that only his hatred formed back together causing a psychic backlash upon his sons making the black rage and the emperor himself had to kill sanguinius after sanguinius turbo killed Horus and the emperor covered it up with lies he said to Rogal. This is plausible because sanguinius himself was a latent psyker Edit: and the good parts came together to form the sanguinor
I have two small suggestion about the first two theories, one is that the hud are the decendents of escape slaves of the dark eldar, if the far future of the 41st is true, that chaos is at war with the endless tyranids hordes, then one of the races more likely to survive this is the dark eldar since they literally are in there own personal dimension it would make sense that the hud forms were the result of there masters sadistic experiments combine with the posible side effects of mutation from all the rampant chaos energies, however this in mind is still to be debated since there is the question of the hud technology as they had to ether made it themselves or based it of some kind of eldar technology and build from it. The second is that the emperor is trying to avoid to become the next chaos god and is at war with his future self, we know that all of the four chaos gods don't actually have a personality since they are made of different emotions and ideals, which leads to the unfortunate downside of bieng at the will of there followers, so the emperor if he would become a chaos god would be much more different then what he was before, one which what I can gather would see itself as the ultimate form and be pretty much expect there followers to serve or die, and already there is evidence of this happing from the legion of the dammed, so I belive there are two the first bieng the real emperor who is trying to stop this new chaos god from giving rise and the chaos god which is probably piece of the emperor shattered mind that is his wors traits, it would certainly make sense to you theory that the emperor wish to become a god as like you said the warp is timeless, or even in something that even more far stretch is that the emperor is allied to this new chaos god seeing as the last resort to save the imperium and to destroy the warp.
The old ones *_did_* know of the warp. Or more accurately they didn't know of the warp, because the warp wasn't the warp yet. They knew of "The realm of souls" which eventually became the warp. When the old ones were still top-dogs there were no such thing as warp entities, in fact well they were weakened by the war in heaven they were poised to win it until the enslavers came into existence like "hippity hoppity your souls are my property"
Just wanted to say, Thank you for the hours of content and deep dive you have helped me enjoy of the 40k lore, Only recently started getting into the Warhammer videos and between how detailed the lore and how amazing your voice is to listen to, you have quickly become my favorite channel to listen to while im doing other things. I dont think i have the money nore the time to actually play Warhammer but just listening to the happenings in the universe is a great escape into a whole new world. Keep up the amazing content and you have a new Sub from me on this day. :)
The Old Ones knew pretty much everything there was to know about the Warp when they were alive. There were no daemons or chaos gods back then. The Warp was a calm deep ocean of endless power that they could draw upon, and designed the Aeldari and the Krork to be able to use it in their own ways to help them fight. It took millions of years of them dipping into it, stirring it up with the echoes of their pain and rage and utilizing it for war that it became Chaos. Chaos is a twisted reflection of everything life has experienced, and it took a long time for it to become what we know it as now.
Then the Imperium is doomed. Ollanius Pius always fought on the losing side of the wars that he was involved in. Wait...he fought for the Imperium during the Horus Heresy. Oh, fuck.
@@rainsoakedscribe7068While true, but is anyone except chaos gods, nids and orks really winning. Still may be he went ultra instinct and decided to solo carry imperium?
@@Historyfrek4ever True. Only the Orks are really having fun, and Chaos has been collectively shitting themselves due to Guilliman and the Emperor temporarily using him as a meat puppet to strike against Nurgle. But, I can see Ollie saying "fuck it, I'll do it myself" and dedicating himself to mastering every form of combat after he regenerated.
Here is one of mine: What if EVERY living creature has the ability of the orks to make "things happen because they believe it" but Orks are just better at it because they are so STUPID that they have to use more of their brain to think and this exude more of that energy. Think about it. Saints appear to the Sisters of Battle when they need them the most, their faith tested to the max in the most dire of situations... And then miracles happen. Even in this video, Marbo being the embodiment of the avatar of Catachan's believe of them being the Astra's prime warriors. Is them Believing it and so, manifesting it. This might also be the cause of the birth of slaanesh. Where the Eldar's superiority complex and pursuit of perfection in everything basically created a god of perfection. Maybe this is just a thing that van be credited to races created by the old ones though as they used their Powers to create races basically with their own minds and this planted a small piece of that power in the races they created. Again, i believe this is more noticable with Orks because they basically have to "think harder" about everything and because of that exude more of that "mystical miracles brainpower"...and let's be honest... It sounds super orky to be so good at something because they are basically more stupid than all others
My theory is the emperor is a weapon made during the golden age of man. He is maybe a perpetual who was experimented on. The reason he was first kept alive was if he died, he would lose most of his power.
I always see the emperor as a manifestation of the divine virtues. He could symbolize as order or peace but just like in the grand scheme of things, chaos will always be there. The fact that there's a recent meme about biblically accurate angels... it does suggest that for some interpretation, they may appear monster like. I think i have a theory on whats the emperors true goal. I think he want to absorb or "fix" the warp and make it more favorable for humans instead. In order for him to do this is to somehow "clean" or filter the chaos gods and turn them into their good trait that many people have argued about the chaos gods. The theory inspired from our real world counterpart where Christianity absorb some traditions and convert it to their own.
70% of the comment section is: Sanginius wounded the Emperor and only when in true mortal danger did the Big E act, ill admit it makes a damn lot more sense compared to Big E hessitating to act toward Horus who was a known actually corrupted full on traitor whereas Sang was the embodiment of a faithful loyal son and possibly one of the few he did not consider a mere tool in a toolbox. For me its the Lion and Sang Big E truly respected and loved like sons.
U know what's crazy? The very first time I saw a Warhammer 40k book I had no reference point except other RPG and fantasy novels. I thought when reading about the Golden throne "Huh some lich lord in the future or something, feeding on souls", and I walked away.....
Sly marbo is just one of the lost legion primarchs. Super natural feats, seemingly invincible. Him being one of the lost legion primarchs and his power is simply being impossible to kill.
