Thank you. Power shower, power, noise, but no water coming out. Purchased the solenoid valve for my model which arrived today and was fitted in under 5 minutes. Shower works! Happy family, happy days.
Cagmito76, I checked all your video and found the fault which replacing the temp sensor, i managed to replace it and the shower working perfectly, saved a lot of money replacing with new shower, M8 thank you very much
Hi cagmito, I got brand new triton t80 just fitted week ago and working fine . Yesterday when I’m going shower for 10mins and heard a click then no hot , turn it off for few sec and on again then hot water coming back . Hope you can answer my question .. thanks
Hi great video. I have just fitted a triton T80si where it will not switch off and water is leaking constatnly. I have replaced teh diaphram and solenoid valve but its the same scenario. I have just tested the on/off switch with a multimeter and that checks out ok. Im a bit stuck now.
we have had 4 triton showers and all last around six months then they wont run hot at all, just freezing cold water??? what could be causing all to blow so quickly? and how do i check??
Omg I thought I was only one!! We've gone through 3 in the past year!!! Did you ever find out why? I am starting to think I've got a problem with the electrics that keep shorting the heating element
@@KatrinaMcevoy turned out that we had used longer hose and different shower heads, triton showers only use short hose and a crappy head, made for low pressure! so if you use anything else the shower cant cope with the pressure needed
Mine is an Aquatronic Ultra 4 and it's scolding hot. It switches on a "low pressure" warning light, then switches the heater off. It's fine on setting I, apart from it being "cold", but on setting II it's a liability. This morning I had the dial right the way over to maximum cold, and on setting II, and it tried to burn me alive. Is that the flow valve? I live in a high limescale area... I'm thinking something is clogged. Thanks!
Hi, we've replaced our Gainsborough e50 shower with a new Gainsborough e50 unit as the old one started going hot and cold and then didn't heat up at all. The new shower unit is fitted, power comes on to it and it isn't tripping the RCD. Water pressure seems fine but the new unit isn't heating up either? Any ideas as to what the problem might be? Ps don't know if it matters but our combi boiler went faulty around the same time s the shower stopped working properly and have been told that it needs a new divertor valve (cycling on and off every few seconds) and radiators heat up when selected to tap water only mode. Many thanks in advance
Thanks for this. The Pressure Release Device has gone on our Triton, so now I can get it replaced easy. Thanks again. If it goes again quickly then obviously there are other issues, but your video has helped massively. Cheers.
Can you please confirm when the PRD was blown out, there was no hot water and then when you replaced the PRD you got hot water again ?? My PRD seems to have blown out, I ordered replacement discs that should arrive in a couple of days, but also I have no hot water right now,,, will replacing the PRD disc also resolve the hot water issue ??
Hi my t80si comes on hot on hottest setting but when I turn it down to medium setting it’s just cold can’t get a medium temperature thanks in advance 👍
No heat. Checked the TOC and it didn't have resistance, checked the heating elements and both had resistance of approx 12ohms, but when i checked the solenoid on the inlet the multimeter read 1250. I'm no expert, i decided that as we had a shower head that had an on off switch, and had been accidently shut off, this has likely effected multiple components in the shower so we decided to get identical shower replacement for £69,
Good video what if I bypass that too till I get a new one I took my faulty one apart it was in peace’s in side so I removed the bit put back both discs no I have a reading on my multimeter
hi my shower is very lower pressure on the heat temperature setting. It comes on for 2 seconds at high temperature then cuts out and the pressure goes very low to a trickle of water. What could be he issue? thx
Do some tests check heating elements maybe one has gone , is the water pressure good , any blckages is the water flowing through the shower and pipe and shower head ok ?
@@cagmito76 hi thanks for getting back to me appreciate it. The flow of water is fine when the water is turned to cold but not when run got it is a trickle.
@@erikmorales1004 Let me have a think on that , its hard one as usually low pressure is affected when hot or cold as heat in controlled electrically. Maybe its overheating and cutting out but ill have a think and get back.
Hii I have a electric shower, but the shower is not working properly the water is stopping for couples of minutes and coming back and stopping again can I know the problem is
Any idea what’s the difference between the gravity and mains pressure versions of the T80 can the gravity version be modified to the mains pressure version, thanks
Having an issue with my triton madrid 2, was working fine one day, the next the isolator switch light comes on and sets to on, no light on the shower though no power just doesn't turn on and the isolator light goes off when trying to turn it on. Any idea and fix? TIA
Hi, mums shower is a Mira advance ATL Thermostatic and has No power when turned on at ceiling... checked fuse inside shower and switch in ceiling has electric flow, just not power to unit? There was water sitting in the top heater element tube around heater switch. Me mums desperate and just unsure with not wanting her to get ripped off x
I would not be doing live main voltage testing if you are unsure , best to get technician out . Where are you located. Switch off electric at consumer unit use you meter in continuity mode to test switch and incoming mains connection in shower dead testing is much safer . If you do not have continuity through switch you need new switch. Hope fully thats your issue these are quite expensive showers to buy and repair.
Hey cagmito! Ive got a yamaha wr125x and I was wondering do you know the resistance for the stator coils? Would help a lot! (Has same motor as yzf r125)
@@benokunhon7665 i checked mine measure 0.45 its a lot over it would affect generation did you do battery test 12v off it should jump to 14v when running and over 3/4000 revs
My TCO keeps failing. 3 in 3 weeks!! There doesn’t appear to be any scaling and when I changed the inlet filter again no sign of scaling. Pressure and flow seem ok. I take a shower with no fluctuations in pressure and temperature then the next time just cold water. Heating tank at 11.3 and 11.2 ohms. TCO at 0 when fitting and when failed at 1. Any suggestions greatly appreciated
It sounds like you checked most things , if your getting good flow through shower , head is not blocked and hose is no collapsed internally. Id suspect the elements either faulty or limescale. It is usually limescale build up.
@@cagmito76 Thankyou for your reply and advice. Is it possible to clean the limescale from the tank or would it need a new unit (Cheapest I’ve seen is £129) If I can clean it how do I go about getting rid of the limes ale build up on the elements please and what would I use to do this. If it is possible it’s probably worth a try would you say? I can’t just keep replacing the TCO at £23 a go tbh but I do have another one. I do keep seeing different numbers on the top of the TCO but the shower sales say they’re ok for my shower. One said 52 - 75 and another 48 - 75 Once again .. thanks John
Perhaps the 6th ought to be highlighted ....that of the inaccessible* stabiliser valve seal .....which creates the same effect as a failed PRD.....leaking ... (* without taking the unit off the wall)....
Motor running but no water? If it is very col weather, check for a frozen supply pipe before going after the solenoid! I'm lagging mine now after discovering the real cause of no water.
Tou sound like you know what your talking about, What about this one power off and cold water coming out of the shower I've had to turn the stopcock off under the sink. PRD ?
Good to see you back i have half a day's work for you if you want it pay all your petrol ⛽ and time i am a crippled and need my rs125 09 model fairing oil pump and front brake fitted can you do it please Good money i am in hull
Water leaks from the bottom of the shower. When I took off the shower head, there was no leak. So I replaced the shower head and even with a brand new one, there is a leak from the bottom of the shower. So it seems I can’t put a shower head on the shower lol!! Anyone got any ideas on how to resolve? Thx
@@cagmito76 Hi, no I’m not sure at all…I’m out of my depth here. Given what I’ve already described can it be the prd? It costs about £5 to purchase n thn I can follow a video to fix it!
@@saimaahmed4258 Here is a video of one dripping , badly some are not quite so bad as this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nsRRRDWwlWM.html
electric showers heat by flow rate of water so check for inlet pressure blockages filters blockage internal hater can , flow stabilser valve wear , out let pipes.
