While the video highlights promising certifications, actual salaries depend on various factors beyond certifications alone. Individual success may require a combination of skills, experience, and market demand.

Me. I make over 100K and I only hold certifications. I hold CISSP AWS AND CCNP. It is possible to self study all of this. I did.

@@cocotwins How long did it take you to get the certs and then how long did it take to get a job?

I have about 16 years of work experience in IT functional roles … But not on the IT security domain… Does my work experience count as eligibility to learn CISSP?
@thecloudinvestor777
@thecloudinvestor777 8 месяцев назад
Absolutely! Your 16 years in IT functional roles make you eligible for CISSP. While not directly in IT security, CISSP values a broad IT background. Check the exam outline, focus on specific areas, and you'll do great! Good luck on your CISSP journey!

I have zero IT experience - posses a couple CCNA certs and Azure certs. I'm struggling to get a job. Any tips?

Hang in there! With your CCNA and Azure certs, you're on the right track. Quick tips: - Network: Connect on LinkedIn, attend meetups. - Apply for Entry-Level: Look for internships to gain experience. - Showcase Projects: Build a portfolio demonstrating your skills. - Resume Tailoring: Customize for each job. - Continuous Learning: Stay updated on tech trends. Persistence pays off! Best of luck on your job search!

There is nothing such as guarantee 100K a year, real life is way different than virtual dreams. You can phrase it as these certifications are in high demand, but no guarantee. i work in Cloud security for an MSP and i know that the figure you mentionned is not related to certifications alone.

Totally get you! Certs rock for boosting your career game. They open doors and show you mean business. But, real talk, mixing it up with hands-on skills, staying sharp, and being adaptable - that's the secret sauce. Certs are awesome, no doubt, but it's the whole package that really kicks it up a notch. Thanks for spilling the truth!

My friend got the Comptia Security+ has no degree and is doing really well. He landed his first job and was getting paid at the time 70k but now he works in automation and I'm sure he is getting paid six digits. I'm trying to become a Data Analyst but if that doesn't work I will give it a try to the security + certification.

That's fantastic to hear about your friend's success with CompTIA Security+! Pursuing a career as a Data Analyst is a great choice, and it's excellent that you're keeping your options open. Best of luck on your journey, and if you ever decide to explore Security+, there's a world of opportunities waiting. Keep pushing towards your goals!

Hi Boss Regarding CISSP's second attempt option. Does this offer come every year? In Feb? You said you also got two attempts as a voucher; what time did you get this offer?
@thecloudinvestor777
@thecloudinvestor777 8 месяцев назад
last year I sat for the CCSP exam during Feb-March period. So it looks like ISC2 is providing this voucher during this time-frame. Best of luck!

The ones over 200k what are their titles and job functions?
@thecloudinvestor777
@thecloudinvestor777 8 месяцев назад
Hey there! Those folks pulling in over 200k usually hold titles like Chief Information Officer (CIO), Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Chief Security Officer (CSO), or high-level roles in specialized areas like Cloud Architect, Data Scientist, or Senior Cybersecurity Consultant. Their job functions often involve strategic planning, overseeing major IT initiatives, managing large teams, and making critical decisions that impact the company's tech landscape. It's a high-stakes game at that level!

And this cert is hard to get
@thecloudinvestor777
@thecloudinvestor777 8 месяцев назад
No doubt, these certs can be a real challenge! But the difficulty is what makes them so respected in the cybersecurity world. With some grit and good prep, many have conquered them. It's like a tough level in a game - hard, but the victory feels awesome!

Thanks for this video Please, I might ask some questions. 1. CCSP is easier than CISSP. Is it wrong if I go for CCSP and then CISSP? 2. why didn't you mention CISM? PMP or CISM? For cyber security leaders. Cheers
@thecloudinvestor777
@thecloudinvestor777 8 месяцев назад
You're welcome! 1.It's not necessarily wrong to pursue CCSP before CISSP. They cover different aspects of cybersecurity, but having a solid understanding of cloud security from CCSP can be beneficial for CISSP. It depends on your career goals and current expertise. 2. I didn't mention CISM in this video, but it's certainly a relevant certification for cybersecurity leaders. PMP is more focused on project management, while CISM is specific to information security management. Depending on your role, either can be valuable. Evaluate your career objectives to decide which aligns better with your aspirations in cybersecurity leadership. Feel free to ask more questions!

Why are they pushing this cert u have to be in the game 5 years to even get this cert
@thecloudinvestor777
@thecloudinvestor777 8 месяцев назад
Both CCSP and CISSP certifications do have experience requirements, with CISSP typically needing five years of relevant experience. However, these certifications are highly respected in the cybersecurity field, showcasing a solid foundation and expertise. While the experience bar may seem high, it ensures certified professionals possess practical skills. If you're not there yet, gaining experience through work, volunteering, or education is a worthwhile investment in your cybersecurity career.
